1 Then said God unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there,and make there an altar, to the GOD who appeared unto thee, when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
1 E Deus disse a Jacó: Levanta-te, sobe a Betel, e habita ali. E faze ali um altar para Deus, que te apareceu quando tu fugias da face de Esaú, teu irmão.
2 And Jacob said unto his house, and unto all who were with him,Put away the gods of the alien which are in your midst, and purify yourselves, and change your garments;
2 Então Jacó disse a sua família, e a todos que estavam com ele: Lançai fora os deuses estranhos que estão entre vós, e sede puros, e mudai as vossas vestes.
3 And let us arise, and go up to Beth-el,that I may make there an altar to the GOD who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way that I went.
3 Levantemo-nos e vamos a Betel, e lá eu farei um altar para Deus, que me respondeu no dia da minha angústia, e esteve comigo no caminho em que eu andei.
4 So they gave unto Jacob all the gods of the alien which were in their hand, and the earrings which were in their ears,and Jacob hid them under the oak, which was by Shechem.
4 E eles deram a Jacó todos os deuses estranhos que estavam em suas mãos, e todos os seus brincos que estavam em suas orelhas; e Jacó os escondeu debaixo do carvalho que estava junto a Siquém.
5 And they brake up,and it came to pass that the terror of God, was on the cities which were round about them, so that they pursued not after the sons of Jacob.
5 E eles viajaram, e o terror de Deus estava sobre as cidades que estavam ao redor deles, e eles não perseguiram os filhos de Jacó.
6 And Jacob came in towards Luz, which was in the land of Canaan, the same, is Beth-el,he and all the people who were with him.
6 Então Jacó veio a Luz, que está na terra de Canaã, isto é, Betel, ele e todo o povo que estava com ele.
7 And he built there an altar, and called the place El-Beth-el,because, there, God revealed himself unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother,
7 E ele edificou ali um altar, e chamou o lugar El-Betel, porque ali Deus lhe apareceu, quando ele fugia da face de seu irmão.
8 And Deborah, Rebekahs nurse died, and was buried below Beth-el, under the oak,so the name thereof was called, Allon-bacuth.
8 Mas morreu Débora, ama de Rebeca, e ela foi sepultada abaixo de Betel debaixo do carvalho; e o nome do lugar foi chamado Alom-Bacute.
9 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came in from Padan-aram,and blessed him.
9 E Deus apareceu a Jacó novamente, quando ele veio de Padã-Arã, e o abençoou.
10 And God said to him, Thy name, is Jacob,Thy name shall no longer he called Jacob But, Israel, shall be thy name. So he called his name, Israel.
10 E Deus lhe disse: Teu nome é Jacó; teu nome não será mais chamado Jacó, mas Israel será o teu nome; e ele chamou seu nome Israel.
11 And God said to himI, am GOD Almighty! Be fruitful and multiply, A nation, and a multitude of nations shall spring from thee,And, kings, from thy loins, shall come forth;
11 E Deus lhe disse: Eu sou o Deus Todo-Poderoso; seja frutífero e multiplique; uma nação e uma multidão de nações virão de ti, e reis virão dos teus lombos.
12 And, the land which I gave to Abraham and to Isaac, To thee, will I give it,And to thy seed after thee, will I give the land.
12 E a terra que eu dei a Abraão e a Isaque, a ti eu a darei, e à tua semente depois de ti eu darei a terra.
13 And God went up from him at the place where he had spoken with him.
13 E Deus subiu do lugar em que falou com ele.
14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he had spoken with him, a pillar of stone,and he poured out thereon a drink-offering, and poured thereon oil.
14 E Jacó levantou um pilar no lugar em que falou com ele, um pilar de pedra; e ele derramou uma oferta de bebida nele, e derramou óleo nele.
15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him, Beth-el.
15 E Jacó chamou Betel o nome do lugar onde Deus falou com ele.
16 Then brake they up from Beth-el, and it came to pass when there was yet a stretch of country, to enter into Ephrath, that Rachel was in childbirth, and had hard-labour in her child-birth.
16 E eles partiram de Betel, e era um curto caminho para chegar a Efrata; e Raquel entrou em trabalho de parto; e ela teve dificuldades no parto.
17 So it came to pass when she was in hard-labour in her child-birth, that the midwife said to herDo not fear, for this also of thine, is, a son.
17 E aconteceu que, quando ela estava com dificuldades no parto, a parteira lhe disse: Não temas, tu terás este filho também.
18 And it came to pass when her soul was going forthfor she died, that she called his name Ben-oni,but, his father, called him, Ben-jamin.
18 E aconteceu que, enquanto sua alma partia (porque ela morreu), ela chamou seu nome Benoni, mas seu pai o chamou Benjamim.
19 So Rachel died,and was buried on the way to Ephrath, the same, is Bethlehem.
19 E Raquel morreu, e foi sepultada no caminho de Efrata, que é Belém.
20 And Jacob set up a pillar, over her grave,the same, isThe Pillar of the Grave of Rachel until this day.
20 E Jacó colocou um pilar sobre o seu túmulo; este é o pilar do túmulo de Raquel até este dia.
21 Then Israel brake up,and spread his tent at a distance from Migdal Eder.
21 E Israel viajou, e estendeu sua tenda além da torre de Éder.
22 And it came to pass while Israel inhabited that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his fathers concubine; and Israel heard of it. And so the Sons of Israel came to be Twelve.
22 E aconteceu que, quando Israel habitou naquela terra, Rúben foi e se deitou com Bila, concubina de seu pai, e Israel o escutou. Ora, os filhos de Jacó eram doze:
23 The sons of Leah, the firstborn of Jacob, Reuben,And Simeon and Levi and Judah, and Issachar and Zebulon:
23 os filhos de Lia: Rúben, primogênito de Jacó, e Simeão, e Levi, e Judá, e Issacar, e Zebulom;
24 The sons of Rachel, Joseph and Benjamin:
24 os filhos de Raquel: José e Benjamim;
25 And the sons of Bilhah, handmaid of Rachel, Dan, and Naphtali:
25 e os filhos de Bila, serva de Raquel: Dã e Naftali;
26 And the sons of Zilpah, handmaid of Leah, Gad and Asher: These, are the sons of Jacob, who were born to him, in Padan-aram.
26 e os filhos de Zilpa, serva de Lia: Gade e Aser. Estes são os filhos de Jacó, que lhe nasceram em Padã-Arã.
27 Then came Jacob unto Isaac his father, to Mature, the city of Arba,the same, is Hebron, where had sojourned Abraham and Isaac.
27 E Jacó veio a Isaque, seu pai, em Manre, à cidade de Arba, que é Hebrom, onde Abraão e Isaque peregrinaram.
28 And the days of Isaac came to ben hundred and eighty years.
28 E os dias de Isaque foram cento e oitenta anos.
29 And Isaac breathed his last, and died and was added unto his people, old, and satisfied with days,and Esau and Jacob his sons buried him.
29 E Isaque entregou o espírito, e morreu, e foi reunido ao seu povo, sendo idoso e pleno de dias; e seus filhos, Esaú e Jacó o sepultaram.
