1 And it cared to pass after these things, that God, did prove Abraham,and he said unto him, Abraham! And he said Behold me!
1 E aconteceu depois destas coisas, que Deus provou Abraão, e lhe disse: Abraão; e ele disse: Eis-me aqui.
2 And he saidTake, I pray thee, thy son, thine only one, whom thou lovest, even, Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah and cause him to ascend there as an ascending-sacrifice, on one of the mountains which I shall name unto thee.
2 E ele disse: Toma agora o teu filho, teu único filho Isaque, a quem tu amas, e vai para a terra de Moriá, e oferece-o ali como oferta queimada sobre um dos montes que eu te direi.
3 So Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took his two young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the pieces of wood for an ascending-sacrifice, and mounted and went his way unto the place which God had named to him.
3 E Abraão levantou-se cedo de manhã e selou seu jumento, e tomou consigo dois de seus servos, e Isaque, seu filho, e cortou a lenha para a oferta queimada, e se levantou e foi para o lugar que Deus lhe dissera.
4 It was, on the third day, that Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
4 Então, no terceiro dia, Abraão levantou seus olhos, e viu o lugar de longe.
5 And Abraham said unto his young menTarry by yourselves here with the ass, but I and the young man must go yonder,that we may bow ourselves down and return unto you.
5 E Abraão disse aos seus servos: Ficai aqui com o jumento, e eu e o menino vamos adiante para adorar, e voltaremos a vós.
6 So Abraham took the pieces of wood for the ascending-sacrifice, and laid them on Isaac his son, and took in his own hand the fire and the knife, and they went on their way, both of them together.
6 E Abraão pegou a lenha da oferta queimada, e a colocou sobre Isaque, seu filho; e ele tomou o fogo em sua mão, e uma faca; e foram os dois juntos.
7 Then said Isaac unto Abraham his father, then said he; My father! And he said, Behold me, my son, And he said, Behold the fire, and the pieces of wood,but where is the lamb, for an ascending-sacrifice?
7 E Isaque falou a Abraão, seu pai, e disse: Meu pai, e ele disse: Aqui estou, meu filho. E ele disse: Eis o fogo e a lenha, mas onde está o cordeiro para a oferta queimada?
8 And Abraham said, God, will provide for himself the lamb for an ascending-sacrifice, my son! So they went on their way, both of them, together.
8 E Abraão disse: Meu filho, Deus proverá para si um cordeiro para a oferta queimada; então foram os dois juntos.
9 Then came they into the place which God had named to him, and Abraham built there the altar, and aid in order the pieces of wood, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar, above the pieces of wood.
9 E eles chegaram ao lugar de que Deus lhe dissera; e Abraão construiu ali um altar, e pôs em ordem a lenha, e amarrou Isaque, seu filho, e o pôs no altar sobre a lenha.
10 And Abraham put forth his hand, and took the knife,to slay his son.
10 E Abraão estendeu sua mão, e tomou a faca para imolar seu filho.
11 Then called out unto him the messenger of Yahweh out of the heavens, and said. Abraham, Abraham! And he said Behold me!
11 E o anjo do SENHOR o chamou do céu e disse: Abraão, Abraão; e ele disse: Aqui estou.
12 Then he said, Do not put forth thy hand unto the young man, neither do to himanything at all,for, now, know I that one who reverest God, thou art, when thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only one, from me.
12 E ele disse: Não ponhas a tua mão sobre o menino, nem faças alguma coisa com ele. Porque agora eu sei que temes a Deus, vendo que não negaste a mim teu filho, teu único filho.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and lo! a ram, behind, caught in a thicket by his horns, and Abraham went, and took the ram, and caused him to ascend as an ascending-sacrifice instead of his son.
13 E Abraão levantou seus olhos, e olhou, e eis detrás dele um carneiro, preso pelos chifres em um arbusto; e Abraão foi e tomou o carneiro, e o ofereceu como oferta queimada no lugar de seu filho.
14 So Abraham called the name of that place Yahweh,as to which it is still said to-day, In the mountain of Yahweh, will provision be made.
14 E Abraão chamou o nome daquele lugar: Jeová-Jiré, como se diz até este dia: No monte do SENHOR ele será visto.
15 Then called out the messenger of Yahweh unto Abraham,a second time out of the heavens;
15 E o anjo do SENHOR chamou a Abraão do céu uma segunda vez,
16 and said, By myself, have I sworn is the oracle of Yahweh,Because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one,
16 e disse: Por mim mesmo jurei, diz o SENHOR, pois porque tu fizeste tal coisa, e não negaste teu filho, teu único filho;
17 That I will, richly bless, thee, and, abundantly multiply, thy seed, as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is on the lip of the sea,that thy seed may take possession of the gate of his foes:
17 em bênção eu te abençoarei, e em multiplicação eu multiplicarei tua semente como as estrelas do céu, e como a areia que está sobre a beira do mar; e a tua semente possuirá o portão dos seus inimigos;
18 So shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves in thy seed,Because thou didst hearken unto my voice.
18 e em tua semente todas as nações da terra serão abençoadas, porque tu obedeceste à minha voz.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they mounted, and went on their way together unto Beer-sheba,and Abraham dwelt in Beer-sheba.
19 Então Abraão voltou aos seus servos, e eles se levantaram e foram juntos a Berseba; e Abraão habitou em Berseba.
20 And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying,Behold! Milcahshe also, hath borne sons, to Nahor thy brother:
20 E depois destas coisas, comunicaram a Abraão, dizendo: Eis que Milca, ela também gerou filhos a teu irmão Naor.
21 Uz his firstborn and Buz his brother,and Kemuel, father of Aram
21 Uz, seu primogênito, e Buz, seu irmão, e Quemuel, o pai de Arã,
22 and Chesed and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph,and Bethuel;
22 e Quésede, e Hazo, e Pildas, e Jidlafe, e Betuel.
23 And, Bethuel, hath begotten Rebekah,These eight, hath Milcah borne to Nahor brother of Abraham.
23 E Betuel gerou Rebeca; estes oito Milca deu a Naor, irmão de Abraão.
24 And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she also, hath borne Tebah and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maacah.
24 E a sua concubina, cujo nome era Reumá, lhe gerou também Tebá, e Gaã, e Taás, e Maaca.
