1 Now, Yahweh, visited Sarah, as he had said,And Yahweh did for Sarah as he had spoken.
1 O S enhor agiu em favor de Sara e cumpriu o que lhe tinha prometido.
2 So, Sarah, conceived and bare, to Abraham, a son, for his old age, at the set time, of which God had spoken with him.
2 Ela engravidou e deu à luz um filho para Abraão na velhice dele, exatamente no tempo indicado por Deus.
3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born to him, whom, Sarah, bare to him, Isaac.
3 Abraão deu o nome Isaque ao filho que Sara lhe deu.
4 And Abraham circumcised Isaac his son, when eight days old,as God commanded him.
4 No oitavo dia depois do nascimento de Isaque, Abraão o circuncidou, como Deus havia ordenado.
5 Now Abraham was a hundred years old,when Isaac his son was born to him.
5 Abraão tinha 100 anos quando Isaque nasceu.
6 And Sarah said, A laughing, hath God made for me,Everyone that heareth will laugh with me.
6 Sara declarou: “Deus me fez sorrir. Todos que ficarem sabendo do que aconteceu vão rir comigo!”.
7 And she saidWho would have announced to Abraham, Sarah hath suckled children? yet have I borne a son, for his old age!
7 E disse mais: “Quem diria a Abraão que sua mulher amamentaria um bebê? E, no entanto, em sua velhice, eu lhe dei um filho!”.
8 And the child grew, and was weaned,and Abraham made a great banquet, on the day of the weaning of Isaac.
8 Quando Isaque cresceu e estava para ser desmamado, Abraão preparou uma grande festa para comemorar a ocasião.
9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian woman whom she had borne to Abraham laughing!
9 Sara, porém, viu Ismael, filho de Abraão e da serva egípcia Hagar, caçoar de seu filho, Isaque,
10 So she said to Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son,for the son of this bondwoman must not inherit with my son with Isaac.
10 e disse a Abraão: “Livre-se da escrava e do filho dela! Ele jamais será herdeiro junto com meu filho, Isaque!”.
11 And the word was very grievous in the eyes of Abraham,on account of his son.
11 Abraão ficou muito perturbado com isso, pois Ismael era seu filho.
12 And God said unto Abraham Let it not be grievous in thine eyes concerning the boy and concerning thy bondwoman, In all that Sarah may say unto thee, hearken to her voice,For in Isaac, shall there be called to theea seed.
12 Deus, porém, lhe disse: “Não se perturbe por causa do menino e da serva. Faça tudo que Sara lhe pedir, pois Isaque é o filho de quem depende a sua descendência.
13 Yet even the son of the bondwoman, will I appoint to become, a nation, because thy seed, he is.
13 Contudo, também farei uma nação dos descendentes do filho de Hagar, pois ele é seu filho”.
14 So Abraham rose up early in the morningand took bread and a skin of water and gave unto hagar,putting them on her shoulder and the child, and sent her forth,so she went her way and wandered, in the desert of Beer-sheba.
14 Na manhã seguinte, Abraão se levantou cedo, preparou mantimentos e uma vasilha cheia de água e os pôs sobre os ombros de Hagar. Então, mandou-a embora com seu filho, e ela andou sem rumo pelo deserto de Berseba.
15 And the water out of the skin was spent,so she cant the child under one of the shrubs;
15 Quando acabou a água, Hagar colocou o menino à sombra de um arbusto
16 and went and sat her down over against him at a distance like as of such as draw the bow, for she said Let me not look upon the death of the child,So she sat down over against him, and the boy lifted up his voice, and wept
16 e foi sentar-se sozinha, uns cem metros adiante. “Não quero ver o menino morrer”, disse ela, chorando sem parar.
17 And God heard the voice of the boy, and a messenger of God called unto Hagar out of the heavens; and said to her, What aileth thee, Hagar? Do not fear, for God hath hearkened unto the voice of the boy where he is.
17 Mas Deus ouviu o choro do menino e, do céu, o anjo de Deus chamou Hagar: “Que foi, Hagar? Não tenha medo! Deus ouviu o menino chorar, dali onde ele está.
18 Arise lift up the boy, and hold him up with thy hand,for, a great nation, will I make him.
18 Levante-o e anime-o, pois farei dos descendentes dele uma grande nação”.
19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water,and went and filled the skin with water, and gave drink unto the boy
19 Então Deus abriu os olhos de Hagar, e ela viu um poço cheio de água. Sem demora, encheu a vasilha de água e deu para o menino beber.
20 And it came to pass that God was with the boy, and he grew,and dwelt in the desert, and he became as he grew up, an archer,
20 Deus estava com o menino enquanto ele crescia no deserto. Ismael se tornou flecheiro
21 And he dwelt in the desert of Paran,and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
21 e se estabeleceu no deserto de Parã, e sua mãe conseguiu para ele uma esposa egípcia.
22 And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech, with Phicol chieftain of his host, spake unto Abraham, saying,God, is with thee in all that, thou art doing.
22 Por esse tempo, Abimeleque, acompanhado de Ficol, comandante do seu exército, foi visitar Abraão. “É evidente que Deus está com você, ajudando-o em tudo que faz”, disse Abimeleque.
23 Now, therefore, swear to me by God, here, that thou wilt not deal falsely by me, nor by mine offspring, nor by my descendants,according to the lovingkindness wherewith I have dealt with thee, shalt thou deal with me, and with the land wherein thou hast sojourned.
23 “Jure, em nome de Deus, que não enganará nem a mim, nem a meus filhos, nem a nenhum de meus descendentes. Tenho sido leal a você, por isso jure que será leal a mim e a esta terra onde vive como estrangeiro.”
24 And Abraham said, I, will swear.
24 Abraão respondeu: “Eu juro!”.
25 But Abraham reproved Abimelech,on account of the well of water, which the servants of Abimelech had seized.
25 Contudo, Abraão reclamou com Abimeleque sobre um poço que os servos de Abimeleque lhe haviam tomado à força.
26 And Abimelech said, I know not, who hath done this thing,nor hast even thou, ever told me, nor have even I, ever heard, save to-day.
26 “Eu não sabia disso”, respondeu Abimeleque. “Não faço ideia de quem seja o responsável. Você nunca se queixou a esse respeito.”
27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen, stud gave to Abimelech,and they two solemnised a covenant
27 Então Abraão deu ovelhas e bois a Abimeleque, e os dois fizeram um acordo.
28 So then Abram set seven young sheep of the flock by them-selves,
28 Quando Abraão também separou do rebanho mais sete cordeirinhas,
29 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What, then mean these seven young sheep here, which thou hast set by themselves?
29 Abimeleque lhe perguntou: “Por que você separou estas sete das demais?”.
30 And he said, The seven young sheep, shalt thou take at my hand,that they may serve as my witness, that I digged this well.
30 Abraão respondeu: “Por favor, aceite estas sete cordeirinhas como testemunho de que eu cavei este poço”.
31 On this account, was the name of that place called Beer-sheba,because there, had they two sworn. \fs15
31 Por isso Abraão chamou o lugar de Berseba, porque ali os dois fizeram o juramento.
32 And when they had solemnised a covenant in Beer-sheba,then arose Abimelech, with Phicol chief of his host, and returned unto the land of the Philistines.
32 Depois de firmarem a aliança em Berseba, Abimeleque e Ficol, comandante do seu exército, voltaram para a terra dos filisteus.
33 Then planted he a tamarisk tree in Beer-sheba,and called there on the name of Yahweh the age-abiding GOD.
33 Abraão plantou uma tamargueira em Berseba e ali invocou o nome do S enhor , o Deus Eterno.
34 So Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines many days.
34 E Abraão morou na terra dos filisteus como estrangeiro por longo tempo.
