1 If there be, therefore, any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of spirit, if any tender affections and compassions,
1 Se por estarmos em Cristo, nós temos alguma motivação, alguma exortação de amor, alguma comunhão no Espírito, alguma profunda afeição e compaixão,
2 Fill ye up my joythat, the same thing, ye esteem, the same love, possessing, joined in soul, the one thing, esteeming,
2 completem a minha alegria, tendo o mesmo modo de pensar, o mesmo amor, um só espírito e uma só atitude.
3 Nothing by way of faction, nothing by way of vain-glory,but, in lowliness of mind, accounting, one another, superior to yourselves,
3 Nada façam por ambição egoísta ou por vaidade, mas humildemente considerem os outros superiores a si mesmos.
4 Not, to your own things, severally looking, but, to the things of others, severally:
4 Cada um cuide, não somente dos seus interesses, mas também dos interesses dos outros.
5 The same thing, esteem, in yourselves, which also, in Christ Jesus, ,
5 Seja a atitude de vocês a mesma de Cristo Jesus,
6 Who, in form of God, subsisting, not, a thing to be seized, accounted the being equal with God,
6 que, embora sendo Deus, não considerou que o ser igual a Deus era algo a que devia apegar-se;
7 But, himself, emptied, taking, a servants form, coming to be, in mens likeness;
7 mas esvaziou-se a si mesmo, vindo a ser servo, tornando-se semelhante aos homens.
8 And, in fashion, being found, as a man, humbled himself, becoming obedient as far as death, yea, death upon a cross.
8 E, sendo encontrado em forma humana, humilhou-se a si mesmo e foi obediente até à morte, e morte de cruz!
9 Wherefore also, God, uplifted him far on high, and favoured him with the name which is above every name,
9 Por isso Deus o exaltou à mais alta posição e lhe deu o nome que está acima de todo nome,
10 In order that, in the name of Jesus, every knee might bowof beings in heaven, and on earth, and underground,
10 para que ao nome de Jesus se dobre todo joelho, no céu, na terra e debaixo da terra,
11 And, every tongue, might openly confessthat Jesus Christ is, Lord, unto the glory of God the Father.
11 e toda língua confesse que Jesus Cristo é o Senhor, para a glória de Deus Pai.
12 So, then, my belovedeven as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but, now, much more, in my absence, with fear and trembling, your own salvation, be working out;
12 Assim, meus amados, como sempre vocês obedeceram, não apenas em minha presença, porém muito mais agora na minha ausência, ponham em ação a salvação de vocês com temor e tremor,
13 For it is, God, who energiseth within you, both the desiring and the energising, in behalf of his good pleasure.
13 pois é Deus quem efetua em vocês tanto o querer quanto o realizar, de acordo com a boa vontade dele.
14 All things, be doing, apart from murmurings and disputings;
14 Façam tudo sem queixas nem discussões,
15 In order that ye may become faultless and inviolate, children of God, blameless amidst a crooked and perverted generation, amongst whom ye appear as luminaries in the world,
15 para que venham a tornar-se puros e irrepreensíveis, filhos de Deus inculpáveis no meio de uma geração corrompida e depravada, na qual vocês brilham como estrelas no universo,
16 A word of light, holding forth,as a matter of boasting unto me, for the day of Christ,that, not in vain, I ran, nor, in vain, I toiled:
16 retendo firmemente a palavra da vida. Assim, no dia de Cristo eu me orgulharei de não ter corrido nem me esforçado inutilmente.
17 Nay! if I am even to be poured out as a drink-offering, upon the sacrifice and public ministry of your faith, I rejoice, yea rejoice together with you all,
17 Contudo, mesmo que eu esteja sendo derramado como oferta de bebida sobre o serviço que provém da fé que vocês têm, o sacrifício que oferecem a Deus, estou alegre e me regozijo com todos vocês.
18 For the same cause, moreover, do, ye also, rejoice, yea rejoice together with me.
18 Estejam vocês também alegres, e regozijem-se comigo.
19 I am hoping, however, in the Lord JesusTimothy, shortly, to send unto you, in order that, I also, may be of cheerful soul, when I have ascertained the things that concern you.
19 Espero no Senhor Jesus enviar-lhes Timóteo brevemente, para que eu também me sinta animado quando receber notícias de vocês.
20 For, no one, have I, of equal soul, who, genuinely, as to the things that concern you, will be anxious;
20 Não tenho ninguém como ele, que tenha interesse sincero pelo bem-estar de vocês,
21 For, they all, their own things, do seek, not the things of Christ Jesus;
21 pois todos buscam os seus próprios interesses e não os de Jesus Cristo.
22 But, of the proof of him, be taking note,that, as child, with father, with me, hath he done service for the glad-message;
22 Mas vocês sabem que Timóteo foi aprovado, porque serviu comigo no trabalho do evangelho como um filho ao lado de seu pai.
23 Him, indeed, therefore, am I hoping to sendas soon as I can look off from the things that concern myself,forthwith.
23 Portanto, é ele quem espero enviar, tão logo me certifique da minha situação,
24 I am assured, however, in the Lord,that I, myself, shall shortly come.
24 confiando no Senhor que em breve também poderei ir.
25 Needful, nevertheless have I accounted itEpaphroditus, my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, but your apostle and public minister to my need, to send unto you;
25 Contudo, penso que será necessário enviar-lhes de volta Epafrodito, meu irmão, cooperador e companheiro de lutas, mensageiro que vocês enviaram para atender às minhas necessidades.
26 Since he hath been longing to see, you all, and hath been in great distress, because ye had heard he was sick;
26 Pois ele tem saudade de todos vocês e está angustiado porque ficaram sabendo que ele esteve doente.
27 And, in fact, he was sick, nigh unto death; but, God, had mercy on him,and, not on him only, but, on me also, lest, sorrow upon sorrow, I should have.
27 De fato, ficou doente e quase morreu. Mas Deus teve misericórdia dele, e não somente dele, mas também de mim, para que eu não tivesse tristeza sobre tristeza.
28 The more promptly, therefore, have I sent him, that, seeing him again, ye may rejoice, and, I, the less sorrowful, may be.
28 Por isso, logo o enviarei, para que, quando o virem novamente, fiquem alegres e eu tenha menos tristeza.
29 Be giving him welcome, therefore, in the Lord, with all joy; and, such as he, in honour, be holding,
29 E peço que vocês o recebam no Senhor com grande alegria e honrem a homens como este,
30 Because, for the sake of the work of the Lord, unto death, he drew nigh, running hazard with his life, that he might fill up your lack of the public service, towards me.
30 porque ele quase morreu por amor à causa de Cristo, arriscando a vida para suprir a ajuda que vocês não me podiam dar.
