1 Paul, prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy my brother,unto Philemon the beloved, and a fellow worker of ours,
1 Paulo, prisioneiro de Jesus Cristo, e seu irmão Timóteo, a Filêmon, nosso muito amado colaborador,
2 And unto Apphia our sister. And unto Archippus our fellow-soldier, and unto the assembly which meeteth, at thy house:
2 a Ápia, nossa irmã, a Arquipo, nosso companheiro de armas, e à igreja que se reúne em tua casa.
3 Favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.
3 A vós, graça e paz da parte de Deus, nosso Pai, e da parte do Senhor Jesus Cristo!
4 I am giving thanks unto my Godalways, making mention, of thee, in my prayers,
4 Não cesso de dar graças a meu Deus e lembrar-me de ti nas minhas orações,
5 Hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast towards the Lord Jesus and towards all the saints,
5 ao receber notícia da tua caridade e da fé que tens no Senhor Jesus e para com todos os santos,
6 To the end that, the fellowship of thy faith, may become, energetic, by a personal knowledge of every good thing that is in us towards Christ;
6 para que esta tua fé, que compartilhas conosco, seja atuante e faça conhecer todo o bem que se realiza entre nós por causa de Cristo.
7 For, much joy, have I had, and encouragement, by occasion of thy love, in that, the tender affections of the saints, have had rest given them by thee, brother.
7 Tua caridade me trouxe grande alegria e conforto, porque os corações dos santos encontraram alívio por teu intermédio, irmão.
8 Wherefore, though I have, much, freedom of speech, in Christ, to be enjoining upon thee that which is befitting,
8 Por esse motivo, se bem que eu tenha plena autoridade em Cristo para prescrever-te o que é da tua obrigação,
9 Yet, for loves sake, I rather exhort,being, such a one, as Paul the aged, now, also, even a prisoner of Christ Jesus,
9 prefiro fazer apenas um apelo à tua caridade. Eu, Paulo, idoso como estou, e agora preso por Jesus Cristo,
10 I exhort thee concerning my own child, whom I have begotten in my bonds,Onesimus:
10 venho suplicar-te em favor deste filho meu, que gerei na prisão, Onésimo.
11 Him who, at one time, was, unto thee, unserviceable, but, now, unto thee and unto me, serviceable;
11 Ele poderá ter sido de pouca serventia para ti, mas agora será muito útil tanto a ti como a mim.
12 Whom I have sent back unto theehim, that is, my own, tender affections!
12 Torno a enviá-lo para junto de ti, e é como se fora o meu próprio coração.
13 Whom, I, was minded, with myself, to detain, that, in thy behalf, unto me, he might be ministering in the bonds of the joyful message;
13 Quisera conservá-lo comigo, para que em teu nome ele continuasse a assistir-me nesta minha prisão pelo Evangelho.
14 But, apart from thy mind, I wished to do, nothing, that, not as by necessity, thy goodness should be, but, by choice.
14 Mas, sem o teu consentimento, nada quis resolver, para que tenhas ocasião de praticar o bem {em meu favor}, não por imposição, mas sim de livre vontade.
15 For, peradventure, for this cause, was he separated for an hour, that, as an age-abiding possession, thou mightest have him back,
15 Se ele se apartou de ti por algum tempo, foi sem dúvida para que o pudesses reaver para sempre.
16 No longer as a servant, but above a servanta brother beloved, very greatly to me, but, how much rather, to theeboth in the flesh and in the Lord!
16 Agora, não já como escravo, mas bem mais do que escravo, como irmão caríssimo, meu e sobretudo teu, tanto por interesses temporais como no Senhor.
17 If, therefore, thou holdest me as one in thy fellowship, take him unto thee, as myself;
17 Portanto, se me tens por amigo, recebe-o como a mim.
18 And, if he hath wronged thee at all or oweth thee aught, the same, unto me, do thou reckon:
18 Se ele te causou qualquer prejuízo ou está devendo alguma coisa, lança isto em minha conta.
19 I, Paul, have written ; that I may not tell theethat, thyself, unto me, thou still owest.
19 Eu, Paulo, escrevo de próprio punho: Eu pagarei. Para não te dizer que tu mesmo te deves inteiramente a mim!
20 Yea! brother, I, would, from thee, have help, in the Lord: give rest unto my tender affections in Christ.
20 Sim, irmão, quisera eu receber de ti esta alegria no Senhor! Dá esta alegria ao meu coração, em Cristo!
21 Confident of thine obedience, I have written unto thee, knowing that, even beyond what I say, thou wilt do:
21 Eu te escrevi, certo de que me atenderás e sabendo que farás ainda mais do que estou pedindo.
22 At the same time, moreover, be also getting ready for me, a lodging; for I am hoping that, through your prayers, I shall be granted as a favour unto you.
22 Ao mesmo tempo, prepara-me pousada, porque espero, pelas vossas orações, ser-vos restituído em breve.
23 There salute theeEpaphras my fellow-captive in Christ Jesus,
23 Enviam-te saudações Epafras, meu companheiro de prisão em Cristo Jesus,
24 Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke,my fellow-workers.
24 assim como Marcos, Aristarco, Demas e Lucas, meus colaboradores.
25 The favour of the Lord Jesus Christ, be with your spirit.
25 A graça do Senhor Jesus Cristo esteja com o vosso espírito!
