1 Thou shalt not utter a false report. Do not lay thy hand with a lawless man, to become a witness helping forward violence and wrong.
1 “Não espalhe boatos falsos. Não coopere com pessoas perversas sendo falsa testemunha.
2 Thou shalt not follow multitudes to commit wickedness,neither shalt thou answer in a quarrel, so as to turn away after multitudes to mislead,
2 “Não se deixe levar pela maioria na prática do mal. Quando o chamarem para testemunhar em um processo legal, não permita que a multidão o influencie a perverter a justiça.
3 Even a poor man, shalt thou not prefer in his quarrel.
3 E não incline seu testemunho em favor de uma pessoa só porque ela é pobre.
4 When thou meetest the ox of thine enemy, or his ass, going astray, thou shalt, surely bring it back, to him.
4 “Se você deparar com o boi ou o jumento perdido de seu inimigo, leve-o de volta ao dono.
5 When thou seest the ass of him that hateth thee sinking down under his burden, and mightest have foreborne to unload him, thou shalt surely help him to unload,
5 Se vir o jumento de alguém que o odeia cair sob o peso de sua carga, não faça de conta que não viu. Pare e ajude o dono a levantá-lo.
6 Thou shalt not pervert the vindication of thy needy one in his quarrel.
6 “Não negue a justiça ao pobre em um processo legal.
7 From a matter of falsehood, thou shalt keep far away,and the innocent one and the righteous, do not thou slay, for I will not justify a lawless imam
7 “Jamais acuse alguém falsamente. Jamais condene à morte uma pessoa inocente ou íntegra, pois eu nunca declaro inocente aquele que é culpado.
8 And, a bribe, shalt thou not take,for the bribe, blindeth the clear-sighted, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
8 “Não aceite subornos, pois eles o levam a fazer vista grossa para algo que se pode ver claramente. O suborno faz até o justo distorcer a verdade.
9 And a sojourner, shalt thou not drive away,seeing that, ye yourselves, know the, soul of a sojourner; for sojourners, became ye in the laud of Egypt.
9 “Não explore os estrangeiros. Vocês sabem o que significa viver em terra estranha, pois foram estrangeiros no Egito.
10 And six years, shalt thou sow thy land,and shalt gather the yield thereof;
10 “Plantem e colham os produtos da terra por seis anos,
11 but the seventh year, shalt thou let it rest and be still so shall the needy of thy people eat, and what they leave, shall the wild-beast of the field eat,in like manner, shalt thou deal with thy vineyard with thine oliveyard.
11 mas, no sétimo ano, deixem que ela se renove e descanse sem cultivo. Permitam que os pobres do povo colham o que crescer espontaneamente durante esse ano. Deixem o resto para servir de alimento aos animais selvagens. Façam o mesmo com os vinhedos e os olivais.
12 Six days, shalt thou do thy work, but on the seventh day, shalt thou keep sabbath,that thine ox may rest and thine ass, and that the son of thy handmaid and the sojourner may be refreshed.
12 “Vocês têm seis dias da semana para realizar suas tarefas habituais, mas não devem trabalhar no sétimo. Desse modo, seu boi e seu jumento descansarão, e os escravos e estrangeiros que vivem entre vocês recuperarão as forças.
13 And, in all that I have said unto thee, shalt thou take heed to thyself,and the name of other gods, shalt thou not mention, it shall not be heard upon thy mouth.
13 “Prestem muita atenção a todas as minhas instruções. Não invoquem o nome de outros deuses; nem mesmo mencionem o nome deles.”
14 Three times, shalt thou keep festival to me, in the year.
14 “A cada ano, celebrem três festas em minha honra.
15 The festival of unleavened cakes, shalt thou keep,seven days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes, as I commanded thee at the appointed time of the month Abib; for, therein, camest thou forth out of Egypt,and they shall not see my face, empty-handed.
15 Primeiro, celebrem a Festa dos Pães sem Fermento. Durante sete dias, o pão que vocês comerem será preparado sem fermento, conforme eu lhes ordenei. Celebrem essa festa anualmente no tempo determinado, no mês de abibe, pois é o aniversário de sua partida do Egito. Ninguém deve se apresentar diante de mim de mãos vazias.
16 And the festival of harvest with the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou shalt sow in the field, And the festival of ingatheringat the outgoing of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
16 “Celebrem também a Festa da Colheita, quando me trarão os primeiros frutos de suas colheitas. “Por fim, celebrem a Festa da Última Colheita
17 Three times in the year, shall all thy males see the face of the Lord, Yahweh.
17 A cada ano, nessas três ocasiões, todos os homens de Israel devem comparecer diante do Soberano, o S enhor .
18 Thou shalt not offer with anything leavened, the blood of my sacrifice,neither shall the fat of my festival-sacrifice remain until morning.
18 “Não ofereçam o sangue de meus sacrifícios com pão que contenha fermento. E não guardem até a manhã seguinte a gordura das ofertas da festa.
19 The beginning of the firstfruits of thy ground, shalt thou bring into the house of Yahweh thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in the milk of its dam.
19 “Quando fizerem a colheita, levem à casa do S enhor , seu Deus, o melhor de seus primeiros frutos. “Não cozinhem o cabrito no leite da mãe dele.”
20 Lo! I, am sending a messenger before thee, to guard thee in the way,and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
20 “Vejam, eu enviarei um anjo à sua frente para protegê-los ao longo da jornada e conduzi-los em segurança ao lugar que lhes preparei.
21 Take thou heed of his presence, and hearken to his voicedo not vex him,-for he will not pardon your transgression, for, my name, is within him.
21 Prestem muita atenção nele e obedeçam a suas instruções. Não se rebelem contra ele, pois é meu representante e não perdoará sua rebeldia.
22 But if thou wilt indeed hearken, to his voice, and so wilt do all that I may speak, then will I be an enemy to thine enemies, and an adversary to thine adversaries;
22 Mas, se tiverem o cuidado de lhe obedecer e de seguir todas as minhas instruções, serei inimigo de seus inimigos e farei oposição aos que se opuserem a vocês.
23 for my messenger shall go before thee, and bring thee inunto the Amorite and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, the Hivite and the Jebusite,so will I destroy them.
23 Meu anjo irá à sua frente e os conduzirá à terra dos amorreus, hititas, ferezeus, cananeus, heveus e jebuseus, e eu destruirei todas essas nações.
24 Thou shalt not bow thyself down to their gods neither shalt thou be led to serve them, neither shalt thou do according to their works,but thou shalt, verily overthrow, them, and, completely break in pieces, their pillars.
24 Não adorem seus deuses, nem os sirvam de maneira alguma, e nem sequer imitem suas práticas. Antes, destruam-nas completamente e despedacem suas colunas sagradas.
25 So shall ye serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless thy bread and thy water,and I will take away sickness out of thy midst.
25 “Sirvam somente ao S enhor , seu Deus, e eu os abençoarei com alimento e água e os protegerei de doenças.
26 There shall be nothing casting its young or barren in thy land,the number of thy days, will I make full.
26 Em sua terra, nenhuma grávida sofrerá aborto e nenhuma mulher será estéril. Eu lhes darei vida longa e plena.
27 My terror, will I send before thee, and will confound all the people amongst whom thou shalt come, and will deliver up all thine enemies unto thee as they flee.
27 “Enviarei pavor à sua frente e criarei pânico entre os povos cujas terras vocês invadirem. Farei todos os seus inimigos darem meia-volta e fugirem.
28 And I will send the hornet, before thee,and it shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
28 Sim, enviarei terror adiante de vocês para expulsar os heveus, os cananeus e os hititas,
29 I will not drive them out from before thee, in one year,lest the land should become a desolation, so would the wild-beast of the field multiply over thee.
29 mas não os expulsarei num só ano, pois a terra ficaria deserta e os animais se multiplicariam e se tornariam uma ameaça para vocês.
30 Little by little, will I drive them out from before thee. until thou become fruitful, then shalt thou take possession of the land.
30 Eu os expulsarei aos poucos, até que sua população tenha aumentado o suficiente para tomar posse da terra.
31 So will I set thy bounds from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines and from the desert unto the River (Euphrates),for I will deliver into your hand the inhabitants of the land, so shalt thou drive them out from before thee.
31 Estabelecerei os limites de seu território desde o mar Vermelho até o mar Mediterrâneo, e do deserto do leste até o rio Eufrates. Entregarei em suas mãos os povos que hoje vivem na terra e os expulsarei de diante de vocês.
32 Thou shalt not make with them or with their gods, a covenant:
32 “Não façam tratados com eles nem com seus deuses.
33 they shall not dwell in thy land, lest they cause thee to sin against me,for thou mightest serve their gods, verily! it would become to thee a snare!
33 Esses povos não devem habitar em sua terra, pois os fariam pecar contra mim. Se vocês servirem aos deuses deles, cairão na armadilha da idolatria”.
