1 Then turned we and went up, the way of Bashan; and Og king of Bashan, came out to meet us, he, and all his people, to give battle at Edrei.
1 Depois, nos viramos e subimos o caminho de Basã; e Ogue, rei de Basã, veio contra nós, ele e todo o seu povo, para a batalha em Edrei.
2 And Yahweh said unto me: Do not fear him, for into thy hand, have I delivered him and all his people and his land,so then thou shalt do unto him, as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites who was dwelling in Heshbon.
2 E o SENHOR me disse: Não o temas, porque o entregarei, e a todo o seu povo, e a sua terra, na tua mão; e farás a ele o que fizeste a Seom, rei dos amorreus, que habitava em Hesbom.
3 Then did Yahweh our God deliver into our hand, Og also, king of Bashan and all his people,so we smote him until there was not left remaining to him a survivor.
3 Assim também o SENHOR nosso Deus entregou em nossa mão a Ogue, rei de Basã, e a todo o seu povo; e o ferimos, até que não lhe sobrou ninguém.
4 And we captured all his cities, at that time, there was no fortress which we took not from them,sixty cities all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
4 E naquele tempo tomamos todas as suas cidades; não houve nenhuma cidade que não tomássemos deles, sessenta cidades, toda a região de Argobe e o reino de Ogue, em Basã.
5 All these, were fortified cities each with a high wall, folding gates and a bar,besides country towns exceeding many.
5 Todas essas cidades eram cercadas com muros altos, portões e barras; ao lado de cidades sem muros, em grande número.
6 And we devoted them to destruction, doing unto them as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon,devoting to destruction every city of males, the women, and the little ones.
6 E as destruímos completamente, como fizemos a Seom, rei de Hesbom, destruindo completamente os homens, e as mulheres, e as crianças, de todas as cidades.
7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, made we our prey.
7 Mas todo o gado, e os despojos das cidades, tomamos por presa para nós.
8 Thus did we at that time take the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites (which was over the Jordan),from the ravine of Arnon as far as Mount Hermon.
8 E naquele tempo tomamos das mãos daqueles dois reis dos amorreus a terra que estava deste lado do Jordão, desde o ribeiro de Arnom até ao monte Hermom;
9 Sidonians, call Hermon Sirion,but, the Amorites, call it Senir.
9 (Hermom que os sidônios chamam Siriom; e os amorreus o chamam Senir);
10 All the cities of the table-land, and all Gilead, and all Bashan,unto Salecah, and Edrei,cities of the kingdom of Og, in Bashan.
10 todas as cidades da planície, e toda Gileade, e toda Basã, até Salca, e Edrei, cidades do reino de Ogue, em Basã.
11 For, only Og, king of Bashan was left remaining of the remnant of the giants, lo! his bedstead, was a bedstead of iron, is not, the same, in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits, the length thereof and four cubits, the breadth thereof, by the fore-arm of a man.
11 Porque somente Ogue, rei de Basã, permaneceu dos remanescentes dos gigantes; eis que o seu leito, um leito de ferro, não está em Rabá, dos filhos de Amom? De nove côvados era o seu comprimento, e de quatro côvados a sua largura, conforme côvado de um homem.
12 And this land, took we in possession at that time,from Aroer which is by the ravine of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites;
12 E esta terra, que tomamos naquele tempo, desde Aroer, que está junto ao ribeiro de Arnom, e metade do monte Gileade, e as suas cidades, dei aos rubenitas e aos gaditas.
13 but the remainder of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh,all the region of the Argob with all Bashan. The same, is called, A land of giants.
13 E o restante de Gileade, e toda Basã, sendo o reino de Ogue, dei à meia tribo de Manassés; toda a região de Argobe, com toda Basã, que era chamada terra de gigantes.
14 Jair, son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites,and called them after his own name The Bashan of Havvoth-jair unto this day.
14 Jair, filho de Manassés, tomou toda a terra de Argobe até as costas dos gesuritas e maacatitas; e as chamou, segundo o seu próprio nome, Basã-Havote-Jair, até este dia.
15 And, unto Machir, gave I Gilead;
15 E dei Gileade a Maquir.
16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites, gave Ifrom Gilead even as far as the ravine of Arnon, the middle of the ravine and boundary,even as far as the Jabbok ravine, the boundary of the sons
16 E aos rubenitas e aos gaditas dei desde Gileade até o ribeiro de Arnom, metade do vale, da fronteira até o ribeiro de Jaboque, que é a fronteira dos filhos de Amom;
17 Ammon; the Waste Plain also and the Jordan and boundary,from Chinnereth, even as far as the sea of the Waste Plain the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah, on the east.
17 também a planície, e o Jordão e a sua costa, desde Quinerete até ao mar da planície, que é o mar salgado, abaixo de Asdote-Pisga, para o oriente.
18 So I commanded you, at that time saying,Yahweh your God hath given unto you this land to possess it, armed, shall ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel all the sons of valour,
18 E naquele tempo eu vos ordenei, dizendo: O SENHOR vosso Deus vos deu essa terra, para possuí-la; passareis armados diante de vossos irmãos, os filhos de Israel, todos os que estiverem capacitados para a guerra.
19 Only, your wives and your little ones and your cattleI know that ye have much cattleshall abide in your cities which I have given unto you;
19 Mas as vossas esposas, e os vossos pequenos, e o vosso gado (pois sei que tendes muito gado) permanecerão nas cidades que vos dei;
20 until that Yahweh shall give rest unto your brethren, as well as you, so shall, they too, possess the land which, Yahweh your God, is giving unto them, over the Jordan,then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given unto you.
20 até que o SENHOR dê descanso a vossos irmãos, bem como a vós, e até que eles também possuam a terra que o SENHOR vosso Deus lhes deu além do Jordão; e então voltareis, cada homem à sua possessão, que vos dei.
21 Jeshua also, commanded I, at that time saying,Thine are the eyes, that have seen all that Yahweh your God hath done unto these two kings, thus, will Yahweh do unto all the kingdoms whereunto thou, art passing over:
21 E naquele tempo eu ordenei a Josué, dizendo: Os teus olhos viram tudo o que o SENHOR teu Deus fez a esses dois reis; assim fará o SENHOR a todos os reinos aos quais passares.
22 ye shall not fear them,for, Yahweh your God, he, it is that is fighting for you.
22 Não os temas, pois o SENHOR teu Deus lutará por ti.
23 Then sought I Yahweh at that time, for a favour saying:
23 E naquele tempo supliquei ao SENHOR, dizendo:
24 My Lord Yahweh, thou thyself, hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy firm hand,as to which, what GOD is there, in the heavens or in the earth, that can do according to thy doings, and according to thy mighty deeds?
24 Ó Senhor DEUS, começaste a mostrar ao teu servo a tua grandeza, e a tua mão forte; pois que Deus há nos céus ou na terra, que possa fazer segundo as tuas obras, e segundo o teu poder?
25 Let me pass over, I pray thee that I may see the good land that is over the Jordan,this good mountain, and the Lebanon.
25 Suplico-te, deixa-me passar, e ver a boa terra que está além do Jordão, este bom monte, e o Líbano.
26 But Yahweh had been provoked with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me,and Yahweh said unto me, Enough for thee! do not add a word unto me further in this matter.
26 Mas o SENHOR se irou comigo, por vossa causa, e não me ouviu; e o SENHOR me disse: Basta; não me fales mais desse assunto.
27 Ascend the top of the Pisgah, and lift up thine eyeswestward, and northward and southward and eastwardand see with thine own eyes,for thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.
27 Sobe ao topo de Pisga, e levanta os teus olhos ao ocidente, e ao norte, e ao sul, e ao oriente, e contempla com os teus olhos, pois não passarás este Jordão.
28 But command thou Joshua and confirm him and embolden him,for, he, shall pass over before this people, and, he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
28 Mas ordena a Josué, e encoraja-o, e fortalece-o, porque ele passará, diante deste povo, e fará com que herdem a terra que verás.
29 So we abode in the valley, over against Beth-peor.
29 Assim, permanecemos no vale diante de Bete-Peor.
