1 And it shall be, if thou wilt, hearken, unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to observe to do all his commandments which I am commanding thee to-day, then will Yahweh thy God set thee on high, above all the nations of the earth;
1 E será que, se ouvires a voz do SENHOR teu Deus, tendo cuidado de guardar todos os seus mandamentos que eu hoje te ordeno, o SENHOR teu Deus te exaltará sobre todas as nações da terra.
2 and all these blessings shall come in upon thee, and reach thee,because thou dost hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God:
2 E todas estas bênçãos virão sobre ti e te alcançarão, quando ouvires a voz do Senhor teu Deus:
3 Blessed shalt, thou be in the city,and blessed shalt thou be in the field:
3 Bendito serás na cidade, e bendito serás no campo.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground and the fruit of thy cattle,the young of thy kine, and the ewes of thy flock:
4 Bendito o fruto do teu ventre, e o fruto da tua terra, e o fruto dos teus animais; e as crias das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas.
5 Blessed, shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough:
5 Bendito o teu cesto e a tua amassadeira.
6 Blessed, shalt thou be when thou comest in,and, blessed, shalt thou be when thou goest out:
6 Bendito serás ao entrares, e bendito serás ao saíres.
7 Yahweh will deliver thine enemies who rise up against thee, to be routed before thee,one way, shall they come out against thee, and seven ways, shall they flee before thee:
7 O Senhor entregará, feridos diante de ti, os teus inimigos, que se levantarem contra ti; por um caminho sairão contra ti, mas por sete caminhos fugirão da tua presença.
8 Yahweh will command to be with thee the blessing, in thy storehouses and in all whereunto thou settest thy hand,and will bless thee in the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee:
8 O Senhor mandará que a bênção esteja contigo nos teus celeiros, e em tudo o que puseres a tua mão; e te abençoará na terra que te der o Senhor teu Deus.
9 Yahweh will confirm thee unto himself for a holy people, as he sware unto thee,be-cause thou dost keep the commandments of Yahweh thy God, and dost walk in his ways.
9 O Senhor te confirmará para si como povo santo, como te tem jurado, quando guardares os mandamentos do Senhor teu Deus, e andares nos seus caminhos.
10 And all the peoples of the earth shall see that, the name of Yahweh, hath been called upon thee,and shall be afraid of thee.
10 E todos os povos da terra verão que é invocado sobre ti o nome do Senhor, e terão temor de ti.
11 And Yahweh will cause thee to abound in that which is good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle and in the fruit of thy soil,upon the soil which Yahweh sware unto thy fathers, to give unto thee:
11 E o Senhor te dará abundância de bens no fruto do teu ventre, e no fruto dos teus animais, e no fruto do teu solo, sobre a terra que o Senhor jurou a teus pais te dar.
12 Yahweh will open unto thee his rich storehousethe heavens, to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless ever, work of thy hand, so shalt thou lend unto many nations, but thou, shalt not borrow:
12 O Senhor te abrirá o seu bom tesouro, o céu, para dar chuva à tua terra no seu tempo, e para abençoar toda a obra das tuas mãos; e emprestarás a muitas nações, porém tu não tomarás emprestado.
13 And Yahweh, will give thee, to be the head, and not the tail, and thou shalt be only above, and shalt not be beneath,because thou dost hearken unto the commandments of Yahweh thy God, which I am commanding thee, to-day, to observe and to do;
13 E o Senhor te porá por cabeça, e não por cauda; e só estarás em cima, e não debaixo, se obedeceres aos mandamentos do Senhor teu Deus, que hoje te ordeno, para os guardar e cumprir.
14 and dost not turn side from any of the words which I am commanding you to-day, to the right hand or to the left,to go after other gods, to serve them,
14 E não te desviarás de todas as palavras que hoje te ordeno, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda, andando após outros deuses, para os servires.
15 But it shall be, if thou do not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I am commanding thee to-day, then shall come in upon thee all these curses and shall reach thee:
15 Será, porém, que, se não deres ouvidos à voz do Senhor teu Deus, para não cuidares em cumprir todos os seus mandamentos e os seus estatutos, que hoje te ordeno, então virão sobre ti todas estas maldições, e te alcançarão:
16 Cursed, shalt thou be in the city,and cursed, shalt thou be in the field:
16 Maldito serás tu na cidade, e maldito serás no campo.
17 Cursed, shall be thy basket, and thy kneading-trough:
17 Maldito o teu cesto e a tua amassadeira.
18 Cursed, shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy groundthe young of thy kine and the ewes of thy flock:
18 Maldito o fruto do teu ventre, e o fruto da tua terra, e as crias das tuas vacas, e das tuas ovelhas.
19 Cursed, shalt thou be, when thou comest in,and, cursed, shalt thou be, when thou goest out:
19 Maldito serás ao entrares, e maldito serás ao saíres.
20 Yahweh will send upon thee cursing, confusion and rebuke, in all whereunto thou settest thy hand that thou mayest do it,until thou he destroyed and until thou perish quickly, because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
20 O Senhor mandará sobre ti a maldição; a confusão e a derrota em tudo em que puseres a mão para fazer; até que sejas destruído, e até que repentinamente pereças, por causa da maldade das tuas obras, pelas quais me deixaste.
21 Yahweh will cause to cleave unto theethe pestilence,until he hath consumed thee from off the soil which thou art entering to possess.
21 O Senhor fará pegar em ti a pestilência, até que te consuma da terra a que passas a possuir.
22 Yahweh, will smite thee, with consumption and with fever, and with inflammation and with violent heat and with the sword, and with blight and with mildew,and they shall pursue thee, until thou perish.
22 O Senhor te ferirá com a tísica e com a febre, e com a inflamação, e com o calor ardente, e com a secura, e com crestamento e com ferrugem; e te perseguirão até que pereças.
23 And thy heavens which are over thy head shall become bronze,and the earth which is under thee iron.
23 E os teus céus, que estão sobre a cabeça, serão de bronze; e a terra que está debaixo de ti, será de ferro.
24 Yahweh will cause the rain of thy land to he powder and dust,out of the heavens, shall it come down upon thee, until thou he destroyed.
24 O Senhor dará por chuva sobre a tua terra, pó e poeira; dos céus descerá sobre ti, até que pereças.
25 Yahweh will give thee up to be routed before thine enemies, one way, shalt thou go out against them, and, seven ways, shalt thou flee before them,and thou shalt become a terror unto all the kingdoms of the earth.
25 O Senhor te fará cair diante dos teus inimigos; por um caminho sairás contra eles, e por sete caminhos fugirás de diante deles, e serás espalhado por todos os reinos da terra.
26 And thy dead body shall become food for every bird of the heavens, and for the beast of the earth,with none to fright them away.
26 E o teu cadáver servirá de comida a todas as aves dos céus, e aos animais da terra; e ninguém os espantará.
27 Yahweh, will smite thee, with the burning sores of Egypt and with the hemorrhoids, and with scab, and with itch,of which thou canst not be healed.
27 O Senhor te ferirá com as úlceras do Egito, com tumores, e com sarna, e com coceira, de que não possas curar-te;
28 Yahweh, will smite thee, with madness and with blindness,and with terror of heart;
28 O Senhor te ferirá com loucura, e com cegueira, e com pasmo de coração;
29 and thou shalt he groping about in noonday brightness, as the blind man gropeth in thick darkness, and thou shalt not make thy ways prosper,but shalt be only oppressed and spoiled all the days with none to save.
29 E apalparás ao meio-dia, como o cego apalpa na escuridão, e não prosperarás nos teus caminhos; porém somente serás oprimido e roubado todos os dias, e não haverá quem te salve.
30 A wife, shalt thou betroth, and, another man shall lie with her. A house, shalt thou build, and shalt not dwell therein,A vineyard, shalt thou plant, and shalt not throw it open;
30 Desposar-te-ás com uma mulher, porém outro homem dormirá com ela; edificarás uma casa, porém não morarás nela; plantarás uma vinha, porém não aproveitarás o seu fruto.
31 Thine ox slaughtered before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof, Thine ass stolen from before thee, and shall not be restored to thee,Thy flock given to thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to save.
31 O teu boi será morto aos teus olhos, porém dele não comerás; o teu jumento será roubado diante de ti, e não voltará a ti; as tuas ovelhas serão dadas aos teus inimigos, e não haverá quem te salve.
32 Thy sons and thy daughters given to another people, thine eyes looking on, and failing for them all the day, thine own hand being powerless.
32 Teus filhos e tuas filhas serão dados a outro povo, os teus olhos o verão, e por eles desfalecerão todo o dia; porém não haverá poder na tua mão.
33 The fruit of thy soil, and all thy toilsome produce, shall a people whom thou knowest not, eat up,and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed, all the days;
33 O fruto da tua terra e todo o teu trabalho, comerá um povo que nunca conheceste; e tu serás oprimido e quebrantado todos os dias.
34 so that thou shalt be mad,for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
34 E enlouquecerás com o que vires com os teus olhos.
35 Yahweh, will smite thee, with a grievous boil, upon the knees and upon the legs, of which thou canst not he healed,from the sole of thy foot even unto the crown of thy head.
35 O Senhor te ferirá com úlceras malignas nos joelhos e nas pernas, de que não possas sarar, desde a planta do teu pé até ao alto da cabeça.
36 Yahweh will bring thee and thy king whom thou wilt set up over thee, unto a nation which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers,and thou shalt serve there other gods of wood and of stone.
36 O Senhor te levará a ti e a teu rei, que tiveres posto sobre ti, a uma nação que não conheceste, nem tu nem teus pais; e ali servirás a outros deuses, ao pau e à pedra.
37 Thus shalt thou become a horror, a byword, and a mockery, among all the peoples whither Yahweh thy God will drive thee.
37 E serás por pasmo, por ditado, e por fábula, entre todos os povos a que o Senhor te levará.
38 Much seed, shalt thou take out into the field,and little, shalt thou gather in, for the locust shall consume it.
38 Lançarás muita semente ao campo; porém colherás pouco, porque o gafanhoto a consumirá.
39 Vineyards, shalt thou plant, and dress,but wine, shalt thou not drink, neither shalt thou gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them.
39 Plantarás vinhas, e cultivarás; porém não beberás vinho, nem colherás as uvas; porque o bicho as colherá.
40 Olive trees, shalt thou have in all thy bounds,but with oil, shalt thou not anoint thyself, for thine olives, shall drop off.
40 Em todos os termos terás oliveiras; porém não te ungirás com azeite; porque a azeitona cairá da tua oliveira.
41 Sons and daughters, shalt thou beget, and they shall not be thine, for they shall go into captivity.
41 Filhos e filhas gerarás; porém não serão para ti; porque irão em cativeiro.
42 All thy trees, and the fruit of thy ground, shall the grasshopper, devour.
42 Todo o teu arvoredo e o fruto da tua terra consumirá a lagarta.
43 The sojourner who is in thy midst, shall mount up above thee higher and higher,whereas, thou, shalt come down lower and lower:
43 O estrangeiro, que está no meio de ti, se elevará muito sobre ti, e tu mais baixo descerás;
44 he, shall lend to thee, but, thou, shalt not lend to him,he, shall become head, and, thou, shalt become tail.
44 Ele te emprestará a ti, porém tu não emprestarás a ele; ele será por cabeça, e tu serás por cauda.
45 Moreover, all these curses, shall come in upon thee, and pursue thee and overtake thee, until thou be destroyed,because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he hath commanded thee;
45 E todas estas maldições virão sobre ti, e te perseguirão, e te alcançarão, até que sejas destruído; porquanto não ouviste à voz do Senhor teu Deus, para guardares os seus mandamentos, e os seus estatutos, que te tem ordenado;
46 and they shall be upon thee, for a sign, and for a wonder, and upon thy seed, unto times age-abiding.
46 E serão entre ti por sinal e por maravilha, como também entre a tua descendência para sempre.
47 Because thou servedst not Yahweh thy God, with rejoicing, and with gladness of heart, for abundance of all things,
47 Porquanto não serviste ao Senhor teu Deus com alegria e bondade de coração, pela abundância de tudo.
48 therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies, whom Yahweh will send against thee, with hunger and with thirst and with nakedness, and with want of all things,and he, will put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he hath destroyed thee.
48 Assim servirás aos teus inimigos, que o Senhor enviará contra ti, com fome e com sede, e com nudez, e com falta de tudo; e sobre o teu pescoço porá um jugo de ferro, até que te tenha destruído.
49 Yahweh will bring against thee a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, as darteth a bird of prey,a nation whose tongue thou canst not understand;
49 O Senhor levantará contra ti uma nação de longe, da extremidade da terra, que voa como a águia, nação cuja língua não entenderás;
50 a nation of fierce countenance,who wilt not respect an elder nor to the young, show favour;
50 Nação feroz de rosto, que não respeitará o rosto do velho, nem se apiedará do moço;
51 then shall be eat the young of thy cattle and the fruit of thy ground until thou art destroyed, who will not leave for thee corn, new wine or oil, the young of thy kine, or the ewes of thy flock,until he hath caused thee to perish.
51 E comerá o fruto dos teus animais, e o fruto da tua terra, até que sejas destruído; e não te deixará grão, mosto, nem azeite, nem crias das tuas vacas, nem das tuas ovelhas, até que te haja consumido;
52 And he shall lay siege to thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fortified walls come down wherein thou wast trusting, in all thy land,yea he will lay siege to thee in all thy gates, in all thy land which Yahweh thy God, hath given, unto thee.
52 E sitiar-te-á em todas as tuas portas, até que venham a cair os teus altos e fortes muros, em que confiavas em toda a tua terra; e te sitiará em todas as tuas portas, em toda a tua terra que te tem dado o Senhor teu Deus.
53 And thou wilt eat the fruit of thy body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, whom Yahweh thy God hath given unto theein the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee.
53 E comerás o fruto do teu ventre, a carne de teus filhos e de tuas filhas, que te der o Senhor teu Deus, no cerco e no aperto com que os teus inimigos te apertarão.
54 The man that is tender among you, and exceedingly delicate, his eye will be jealous of his brother and of the wife of his bosom, and of the remnant of his sons, whom be might leave behind;
54 Quanto ao homem mais mimoso e delicado no meio de ti, o seu olho será maligno para com o seu irmão, e para com a mulher do seu regaço, e para com os demais de seus filhos que ainda lhe ficarem;
55 so that he will not give to any one of them, of the flesh of his sons which he will eat, because he hath nothing at all left him,in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee within all thy gates.
55 De sorte que não dará a nenhum deles da carne de seus filhos, que ele comer; porquanto nada lhe ficou de resto no cerco e no aperto, com que o teu inimigo te apertará em todas as tuas portas.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you who hath never adventured the sole of her foot to set it upon the ground, through delicateness and through tenderness, her eye shall be jealous of the husband of her bosom, and of her own son, and of her own daughter;
56 E quanto à mulher mais mimosa e delicada no meio de ti, que de mimo e delicadeza nunca tentou pôr a planta de seu pé sobre a terra, será maligno o seu olho contra o homem de seu regaço, e contra seu filho, e contra sua filha;
57 both as to her afterbirth that cometh forth from between her feet and as to her children which she shall bear, for she will eat them for want of all things secretly,in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy will straiten thee within thine own gates.
57 E isto por causa de suas páreas, que saírem dentre os seus pés, e para com os seus filhos que tiver, porque os comerá às escondidas pela falta de tudo, no cerco e no aperto, com que o teu inimigo te apertará nas tuas portas.
58 If thou wilt not take heed to do all the words of this law, which are written in this scroll,to revere this glorious and reverend name, Yahweh thy God,
58 Se não tiveres cuidado de guardar todas as palavras desta lei, que estão escritas neste livro, para temeres este nome glorioso e temível, o SENHOR TEU DEUS,
59 then will Yahweh make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed,plagues great and lasting, and diseases grievous and lasting;
59 Então o Senhor fará espantosas as tuas pragas, e as pragas de tua descendência, grandes e permanentes pragas, e enfermidades malignas e duradouras;
60 and he will bring back on thee all the sickness of Egypt, because of which thou wast afraid,and they shall cleave unto thee;
60 E fará tornar sobre ti todos os males do Egito, de que tu tiveste temor, e se apegarão a ti.
61 even every disease and, every plague, which are not written in this scroll of the law, will Yahweh bring up against thee, until thou art destroyed,
61 Também o Senhor fará vir sobre ti toda a enfermidade e toda a praga, que não está escrita no livro desta lei, até que sejas destruído.
62 And ye shall be left men few in number, whereas ye had become as the stars of the heavens for multitude,because thou hast not hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh thy God.
62 E ficareis poucos em número, em lugar de haverem sido como as estrelas dos céus em multidão; porquanto não destes ouvidos à voz do Senhor teu Deus.
63 And it shall come to pass that as Yahweh rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so, will Yahweh rejoice over you, to cause you to perish and to destroy you,and ye shall be torn away, from off the soil, whither thou art going in to possess it;
63 E será que, assim como o Senhor se deleitava em vós, em fazer-vos bem e multiplicar-vos, assim o Senhor se deleitará em destruir-vos e consumir-vos; e desarraigados sereis da terra a qual passais a possuir.
64 and Yahweh will scatter thee among all the peoples, from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth,and thou wilt serve there other gods whom thou hast not knownthou nor thy fathers,of wood and of stone.
64 E o Senhor vos espalhará entre todos os povos, desde uma extremidade da terra até à outra; e ali servireis a outros deuses que não conheceste, nem tu nem teus pais; ao pau e à pedra.
65 And among those nations, shalt thou find no ease, neither shall there be a place of rest for the sole of thy foot,but Yahweh will give unto thee there a trembling heart, and a failing of eyes and faintness of soul.
65 E nem ainda entre estas nações descansarás, nem a planta de teu pé terá repouso; porquanto o Senhor ali te dará coração agitado, e desfalecimento de olhos, e desmaio da alma.
66 And thy life will be hung up for thee in front,and thou wilt be in dread by night and by day, and wilt not trust in thy life.
66 E a tua vida, como em suspenso, estará diante de ti; e estremecerás de noite e de dia, e não crerás na tua própria vida.
67 In the morning, thou wilt sayOh that it were evening! and in the evening, thou wilt sayOh that it were morning! because of the dread of thy heart which thou wilt dread, and because of the sight of thine eyes which thou wilt see.
67 Pela manhã dirás: Ah! quem me dera ver a noite! E à tarde dirás: ah! quem me dera ver a manhã! pelo pasmo de teu coração, que sentirás, e pelo que verás com os teus olhos.
68 And Yahweh will take thee back again to Egypt in ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt not again any more see it. And ye will offer yourselves there for sale unto thine enemies as servants and as handmaids with no one to buy.
68 E o Senhor te fará voltar ao Egito em navios, pelo caminho de que te tenho dito; nunca jamais o verás; e ali sereis vendidos como escravos e escravas aos vossos inimigos; mas não haverá quem vos compre.
