2 HE As a lily among thorns, So, is my fair one, among the daughters!
2 Qual o lírio entre os espinhos, tal é a minha querida entre as donzelas. Esposa
3 SHE As an apple-tree among the trees of the forest, So, is my beloved, among the sons: In his shade, I greatly delighted and sat down, And, his fruit, was sweet to my taste.
3 Qual a macieira entre as árvores do bosque, tal é o meu amado entre os jovens; desejo muito a sua sombra e debaixo dela me assento, e o seu fruto é doce ao meu paladar.
4 He hath brought me into the house of wine, and, his banner over me, is love.
4 Leva-me à sala do banquete, e o seu estandarte sobre mim é o amor.
5 Sustain me with raisin-cakes, refresh me with apples,for sick with love, I am.
5 Sustentai-me com passas, confortai-me com maçãs, pois desfaleço de amor.
6 His left hand under my head, then, his right hand, embraceth me!
6 A sua mão esquerda esteja debaixo da minha cabeça, e a direita me abrace.
7 HE I adjure you, ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles or by the hinds of the field,That ye wake not, nor arouse, the dear love until she please! ****
7 Conjuro-vos, ó filhas de Jerusalém, pelas gazelas e cervas do campo, que não acordeis, nem desperteis o amor, até que este o queira.
8 SHE The voice of my beloved! Lo! here he cometh,leaping over the mountains, skipping over the hills.
8 Ouço a voz do meu amado; ei-lo aí galgando os montes, pulando sobre os outeiros.
9 Resembleth, my beloved, a gazelle, or a young stag,Lo! here he is, standing behind our wall, looking in at the windows, peeping in at the lattice.
9 O meu amado é semelhante ao gamo ou ao filho da gazela; eis que está detrás da nossa parede, olhando pelas janelas, espreitando pelas grades.
10 Responded my beloved, and said to me,Rise up! my fairmy beautifulone, and come away,
10 O meu amado fala e me diz: Esposo Levanta-te, querida minha, formosa minha, e vem.
11 For lo, the winter, is past,the rain, is over, gone;
11 Porque eis que passou o inverno, cessou a chuva e se foi;
12 The flowers, have appeared in the earth, the time of the spring-song, hath come,and, the voice of the turtle, is heard in our land;
12 aparecem as flores na terra, chegou o tempo de cantarem as aves, e a voz da rola ouve-se em nossa terra.
13 The fig-tree, hath spiced her green figs, and, the vinesall blossom, yield fragrance,Rise up! my fairmy beautifulone, and come away!
13 A figueira começou a dar seus figos, e as vides em flor exalam o seu aroma; levanta-te, querida minha, formosa minha, e vem.
14 HE O my dove! In the retreats of the crag, in the hiding-place of the terrace, Let me see thy form, Let me hear thy voice,For, thy voice, is sweet, and, thy form, comely.
14 Pomba minha, que andas pelas fendas dos penhascos, no esconderijo das rochas escarpadas, mostra-me o rosto, faze-me ouvir a tua voz, porque a tua voz é doce, e o teu rosto, amável. Esposa
15 BOTH Take ye for us, the foxes, the little foxes that are spoiling the vines,and, our vines, are all blossom!
15 Apanhai-me as raposas, as raposinhas, que devastam os vinhedos, porque as nossas vinhas estão em flor.
16 SHE My beloved, is, mine, and, I, am, his, he that pastureth among lilies!
16 O meu amado é meu, e eu sou dele; ele apascenta o seu rebanho entre os lírios.
17 Until the day, breathe, and the shadows, be lengthened, Again, liken thyself, my beloved, to a gazelle, or to a young stag, upon the cleft mountains. ****
17 Antes que refresque o dia e fujam as sombras, volta, amado meu; faze-te semelhante ao gamo ou ao filho das gazelas sobre os montes escabrosos.
