1 For the rest, brethren, be praying for us,that, the word of the Lord, may be running, and gaining glory, according as even with you;
1 Finalmente, irmãos, orai por nós, para que a palavra do Senhor se propague e seja glorificada, como também está acontecendo entre vós;
2 And that we may be rescued from the presuming and wicked men; for, not all, hold the faith.
2 e para que sejamos livres dos homens perversos e maus; porque a fé não é de todos.
3 Faithful, is the Lord,who will confirm you, and guard you from the wicked one:
3 Todavia, o Senhor é fiel; ele vos confirmará e guardará do Maligno.
4 We are persuaded, however, in the Lord, as touching you,that, what things we give in charge, Ye both are doing and will do;
4 Nós também temos confiança em vós no Senhor, de que não só estais praticando as coisas que vos ordenamos, como também continuareis a fazê-las.
5 But may, the Lord, guide your hearts into the love of God, and into the endurance of the Christ.
5 Ora, o Senhor conduza o vosso coração ao amor de Deus e à constância de Cristo.
6 Howbeit, we charge you, brethren,that, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, ye be withdrawing yourselves from every brotherwho, in a disorderly way, doth walk, and not according to the instruction which ye received from us.
6 Nós vos ordenamos, irmãos, em nome do Senhor Jesus Cristo, que vos aparteis de todo irmão que ande desordenadamente e não segundo a tradição que de nós recebestes;
7 For, ye yourselves, know, how needful it is to be imitating us, in that we were not disorderly among you,
7 pois vós mesmos estais cientes do modo por que vos convém imitar-nos, visto que nunca nos portamos desordenadamente entre vós,
8 Nor, as a free-gift, did eat, bread, from anyone, but, with toil and hardship, night and day, working,that we might not burden any of you;
8 nem jamais comemos pão à custa de outrem; pelo contrário, em labor e fadiga, de noite e de dia, trabalhamos, a fim de não sermos pesados a nenhum de vós;
9 Not because we have not authority, but that, ourselves, as an ensample, we might hold forth unto you,to the end ye might he imitating us.
9 não porque não tivéssemos esse direito, mas por termos em vista oferecer-vos exemplo em nós mesmos, para nos imitardes.
10 For, even when we were with you, this, were we giving in charge unto you,that, if any will not work, neither let him eat!
10 Porque, quando ainda convosco, vos ordenamos isto: se alguém não quer trabalhar, também não coma.
11 We hear, in fact, of some who are walking among you in a disorderly way, at nothing, working, yet too busily working!
11 Pois, de fato, estamos informados de que, entre vós, há pessoas que andam desordenadamente, não trabalhando; antes, se intrometem na vida alheia.
12 Now, such as these, we charge and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ,that, with quietness, working, their own bread, they be eating.
12 A elas, porém, determinamos e exortamos, no Senhor Jesus Cristo, que, trabalhando tranquilamente, comam o seu próprio pão.
13 But, ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing;
13 E vós, irmãos, não vos canseis de fazer o bem.
14 And, if anyone be not giving ear unto our word through means of this letter, on this one, set a marknot to be mixing yourselves up with him,that he may be reproved;
14 Caso alguém não preste obediência à nossa palavra dada por esta epístola, notai-o; nem vos associeis com ele, para que fique envergonhado.
15 And, not as an enemy, be esteeming him, but be admonishing him, as a brother.
15 Todavia, não o considereis por inimigo, mas adverti-o como irmão.
16 But may, the Lord of peace himself, give you peace, always, in every way. The Lord, be with you all.
16 Ora, o Senhor da paz, ele mesmo, vos dê continuamente a paz em todas as circunstâncias. O Senhor seja com todos vós.
17 The salutation of Paulwith my own hand, which is a sign in every letter: thus, I write.
17 A saudação é de próprio punho: Paulo. Este é o sinal em cada epístola; assim é que eu assino.
18 The favour of our Lord Jesus Christ, be with you all.
18 A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo seja com todos vós.
