¹ Now, these, are the last words of David,The oracle of David, son of Jesse, Yea the oracle of The man raised up on high, The Anointed of the God of Jacob, the Delight of the Songs of Israel:

¹ Ora, estas são as últimas palavras de Davi. Davi, o filho de Jessé, disse; e o homem que foi exaltado às alturas, o ungido do Deus de Jacó, e o doce salmista de Israel, disse:

² The Spirit of Yahweh, spake in me,And, his word, was on my tongue;

² O Espírito do SENHOR falou por mim, e a sua palavra estava na minha língua.

³ Said the God of Israel, Unto me, spake the Rock of Israel:One Ruling over Men, A Righteous One, ruling in the reverence of God,

³ O Deus de Israel disse, a Rocha de Israel falou comigo: Aquele que rege sobre os homens precisa ser justo, regendo no temor de Deus.

⁴ Is even as the light of the morning when ariseth the sun,A morning, without clouds, from rain, the fresh shoots out of the earth.

⁴ E ele será como a luz da manhã, quando o sol se levanta, uma manhã sem nuvens; como a relva tenra que brota da terra através do brilho claro depois da chuva.

⁵ When, not so, was my house with GOD, Then, a covenant age-abiding, he appointed me, Ordered in all things and guarded, Now that it is all my salvation and all my desire, Will he not make it shoot forth?

⁵ Embora a minha casa não esteja assim com Deus; ele fez comigo um pacto eterno, ordenado em todas as coisas, e seguro; pois esta é toda a minha salvação, e todo o meu desejo, mesmo que ele não o faça crescer.

⁶ But, as for the abandoned, like thorns to be tossed away are they all,For, not with the hand, can they be taken;

⁶ Porém, todos os filhos de Belial serão como espinhos lançados fora, porque não podem ser pegos com mãos;

⁷ But, the man that would touch them, Must fence himself with iron, and the shaft of a spear,Then, with fire, shall they be, consumed, on the spot!

⁷ mas o homem que neles tocar deve estar cercado com ferro e com haste de uma lança; e eles serão completamente queimados com fogo no mesmo lugar.

⁸ These, are the names of the mighty men, who belonged to David,The president a Tachmonite head of the charioteers, the same, was Adino the Eznite, for eight hundred, slain at one time.

⁸ Estes são os nomes dos homens valentes que Davi tinha: O taquemonita que se assentava no assento, chefe entre os capitães; o mesmo era Adino, o eznita; ele levantou a sua lança contra oitocentos, os quais matou de uma única vez.

⁹ And, after him, Eleazar son of Dodo, son of Ahohi,in the hero-class of mighty men, with David, when they reproached the Philistines, they were gathered together there to battle, but the men of Israel had gone up;

⁹ E depois dele vinha Eleazar, o filho de Dodô, o aoíta, um dos três valentes com Davi, quando eles desafiaram os filisteus que estavam lá reunidos para a batalha, e os homens de Israel fugiram;

¹⁰ he, however, arose and smote among the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto his sword, so Yahweh wrought a great victory on that day,the people, coming back after him, only to strip the slain.

¹⁰ ele se levantou, e feriu os filisteus até que a sua mão ficou exausta, e a sua mão ficou presa à espada; e o SENHOR operou uma grande vitória naquele dia; e o povo retornou depois dele somente para despojar.

¹¹ And, after him, Shammah son of Agee, the Hararite,and, when the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, there being at hand an allotment of field-land full of lentils, but, the people, having fled from the face of the Philistines,

¹¹ E, depois dele vinha Samá, o filho de Agé, o haratita. E os filisteus estavam reunidos em tropa, onde havia um pedaço de terra cheio de lentilhas; e o povo fugiu dos filisteus.

¹² then took he his stand in the midst of the allotment, and defended it, and smote the Philistines,and Yahweh wrought a great victory.

¹² Ele, porém, pôs-se de pé no meio do terreno, e o defendeu, e matou os filisteus; e o SENHOR operou uma grande vitória.

¹³ And three of the thirty chiefs descended, and came in, towards harvest, unto David, unto the cave of Adullam,although, a troop of Philistines, were encamped in the vale of Rephaim;

¹³ E três dos trinta chefes desceram, e vieram até Davi na época da colheita à caverna de Adulão; e a tropa dos filisteus acampou no vale de Refaim.

¹⁴ and, David, then was in a stronghold,and, a garrison of Philistines, was then in Bethlehem.

¹⁴ E Davi estava, então, em uma fortaleza, e a guarnição dos filisteus estava, naquele tempo, em Belém.

¹⁵ And David longed, and said,Who will give me to drink water out of the well of Bethlehem, that is within the gate?

¹⁵ E Davi ansiava, e disse: Ah, se alguém me desse de beber das águas do poço de Belém, que fica junto ao portão!

¹⁶ And the three mighty men brake through the camp of Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was within the gate, and bare it, and brought it in unto David,yet would he not drink, but poured it out unto Yahweh,

¹⁶ E os três homens valentes irromperam pelo exército dos filisteus, e retiraram água do poço de Belém, que ficava junto ao portão, e a tomaram e trouxeram até Davi; todavia ele não quis beber dela, mas derramou-a ao SENHOR.

¹⁷ and saidBe it far from me, O Yahweh, that I should do this! is it not the blood of the men who went with their lives ? So he would not drink it. These things, did the three mighty men.

¹⁷ E ele disse: Esteja longe de mim, ó SENHOR, que eu faça isto; não é este o sangue dos homens que foram arriscar as suas vidas? Por isto ele não quis bebê-la. Estas coisas fizeram estes três homens valentes.

¹⁸ And. Abishai brother of Joab son of Zeruiah, he, was chief of three, in that he brandished his spear against three hundred whom he slew; and, he, had a name among three.

¹⁸ E Abisai, o irmão de Joabe, o filho de Zeruia, era chefe entre os três. E ele levantou a sua lança contra trezentos, e os matou, e teve o nome entre os três.

¹⁹ Was he not most honourable, of the three, and so became their captain? Nevertheless, unto the three, he attained not.

¹⁹ Não foi ele o mais honorável dos três? Portanto, ele era o capitão deles; todavia não alcançou os três primeiros.

²⁰ Benaiah also, son of Jehoiadah, son of an active man, hero of many a deed, a man of Kabzeel, he, smote the two sons of Ariel of Moab, he, also went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit, on a day of snow;

²⁰ E Benaia, o filho de Joiada, o filho de um homem valente, de Cabzeel, que havia feito muitos atos, ele matou dois homens de Moabe semelhantes a leões; também desceu e matou um leão no meio de uma cova, no tempo da neve.

²¹ he, also smote an Egyptian, who was of valiant bearing, and, in the hand of the Egyptian, was a spear, but he went down unto him with a staff,and wrested the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slew him with his own spear.

²¹ E ele matou um egípcio, um homem formoso; e o egípcio tinha uma lança em sua mão; mas ele desceu até ele com uma vara, e arrancou a lança da mão do egípcio, e o matou com a sua própria lança.

²² These things, did Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and, he, had a name among three mighty men.

²² Estas coisas fez Benaia, o filho de Joiada, e teve o nome entre os três homens valentes.

²³ He was the most honourable, of thirty, although, unto the three, he attained no,so David added him to his council.

²³ Ele foi mais honorável do que os trinta, mas não alcançou os três primeiros. E Davi o pôs sobre a sua guarda.

²⁴ Asahel, brother of Joab, was among the thirty,Elhanan, son of Dodo, of Bethlehem;

²⁴ Asael, o irmão de Joabe, era um dos trinta; Elanã, o filho de Dodô de Belém;

²⁵ Shammah, the Harodite; Elika, the Harodite;

²⁵ Samá, o harodita, Elica, o harodita;

²⁶ Helez, the Paltite, Ira, son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite;

²⁶ Heles, o paltita; Ira, filho de Iques, o tecoíta;

²⁷ Abiezer, the Anathothite, Mebunnai, the Hushathite;

²⁷ Abiezer, o anatotita; Mebunai, o husatita;

²⁸ Zalmon, the Ahohite, Maharai, the Netophathite;

²⁸ Zalmom, o aoíta; Maarai, o netofatita;

²⁹ Heleb, son of Baanah, the Netophathite,Ittai, son of Ribai, of Gibeah, of the sons of Benjamin;

²⁹ Helebe, o filho de Baana, o netofatita; Itai, o filho de Ribai, de Gibeá, dos filhos de Benjamim;

³⁰ Benaiah, a Pirathonite, Hiddai, of the torrents of Gaash;

³⁰ Benaia, o piratonita; Hidai, dos ribeiros de Gaás;

³¹ Abi-albon, the Arbathite, Azmaveth, the Barhumite;

³¹ Abi-Albom, o arbatita; Azmavete, o barumita;

³² Eliahba, the Shaalbonite, (Of) the sons of Jashen, Jonathan;

³² Eliaba, o saalbonita, dos filhos de Jasém, Jônatas;

³³ Shammah, the Hararite, Ahiam, son of Sharar, the Ararite;

³³ Samá, o hararita; Aião, filho de Sarar, o ararita;

³⁴ Eliphelet, son of Ahasbai, son of the Maacathite. Eliam, son of Ahithophel, the Gilonite.

³⁴ Elifelete, o filho de Aasbai, filho do maacatita; Eliã, o filho de Aitofel, o gilonita;

³⁵ Hezro, the Carmelite, Paarai, the Arbite;

³⁵ Hezrai, o carmelita; Paarai, o arbita;

³⁶ Igal, son of Nathan, of Zobah, Bani, the Gadite;

³⁶ Igal, o filho de Natã, de Zobá; Bani, o gadita;

³⁷ Zelek, the Ammonite,Naharai, the Beerothite, armour bearers to Joab son of Zeruiah;

³⁷ Zeleque, o amonita; Naarai, o beerotita, o escudeiro de Joabe, o filho de Zeruia;

³⁸ Ira, the Ithrite, Gareb, the Ithrite;

³⁸ Ira, um jetrita; Garebe, um jetrita;

³⁹ Uriah, the Hittite, In all, thirty and seven.

³⁹ Urias, o heteu: trinta e sete ao todo.
