1 Whosoever believeth that, Jesus, is the Christ, of God, hath been born: and, whosoever loveth him that begat, loveth him that hath been begotten of him.
1 Todo aquele que crê que Jesus é o Cristo, é nascido de Deus; e todo aquele que ama aquele que o gerou, também ama ao que dele foi gerado.
2 Hereby, perceive we, that we love the children of God, as soon as, God, we love, and, his commandments, we are doing.
2 Nisto sabemos que amamos os filhos de Deus, quando amamos a Deus e guardamos os seus mandamentos.
3 For, this is the love of Godthat, his commandments, we be keeping, and, his commandments, are not burdensome;
3 Porque este é o amor de Deus: que guardemos os seus mandamentos; e os seus mandamentos não são pesados.
4 Because, whatsoever hath been born of God, overcometh the world; and, this, is the victory that hath overcome the worldour faith.
4 Porque todo o que é nascido de Deus vence o mundo; e esta é a vitória que vence o mundo, a nossa fé.
5 And who is he that overcometh the world, save he that believeth that, Jesus, is the Son of God?
5 Quem é o que vence o mundo, senão aquele que crê que Jesus é o Filho de Deus?
6 This, is he that came through means of water and blood, Jesus Christ: not, by the water, only, but, by the water and by the blood,and, the Spirit, it is, that is bearing witness, because, the Spirit, is the truth.
6 Este é aquele que veio por água e sangue, a saber, Jesus Cristo; não apenas por água, mas por água e por sangue. E o Espírito é o que testifica, porque o Espírito é a verdade.
7 Because, three, are they who are bearing witness
7 Porque três são os que dão testemunho no céu: o Pai, a Palavra, e o Espírito Santo; e estes três são um.
8 The Spirit, and the Water, and the Blood; and, the three, are, , unto one thing.
8 E três são os que testificam na terra: o Espírito, e a água, e o sangue; e estes três concordam em um.
9 If, the witness of men, we receive, the witness of God, is, greater. Because, this, is the witness of Godin that he hath borne witness concerning his Son,
9 Se recebemos o testemunho dos homens, o testemunho de Deus é maior; porque este é o testemunho de Deus, que ele testificou de seu Filho.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the witness, within himself: He that doth not believe God, false, hath made him,because he hath not believed on the witness which, God, hath witnessed, concerning his Son
10 Aquele que crê no Filho de Deus tem em si mesmo o testemunho; aquele que não crê em Deus faz dele um mentiroso, porquanto não crê no testemunho que Deus deu de seu Filho.
11 And, this, is the witness:that, life age-abiding, hath God given unto us, and, this life, is, in his Son:
11 E este é o testemunho: que Deus nos deu a vida eterna; e esta vida está em seu Filho.
12 He that hath the Son, hath, the life,he that hath not the Son of God, hath not, the life.
12 Aquele que tem o Filho tem a vida; e aquele que não tem o Filho de Deus não tem a vida.
13 These things, have I written unto youin order that ye may know that ye have, Life Age-abidingunto you who believe on the name of the Son of God.
13 Estas coisas escrevi a vós que credes em o nome do Filho de Deus, a fim de que saibais que tendes a vida eterna, e para que creiais em o nome do Filho de Deus.
14 And, this, is the boldness which we have towards him: that, if, anything, we ask, according to his will, He doth hearken unto us.
14 E esta é a confiança que temos nele, que se pedirmos alguma coisa, conforme a sua vontade, ele nos ouve.
15 And, if we know that he doth hearken unto us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the things asked, which we have asked of him,
15 E se sabemos que ele nos ouve, em tudo o que pedimos, sabemos que temos as petições que dele desejamos.
16 If one should see his brother committing a sin, not unto death, he shall ask, and He will grant unto him life,for them who are sinning, not unto death. There, is, a sin, unto death: not concerning that, am I saying, that he should make request.
16 Se alguém vir o seu irmão pecar um pecado que não seja para morte, deverá orar, e Deus dará vida àquele cujo pecado não é para morte. Há um pecado que leva à morte, eu não digo que se deve orar por este.
17 All unrighteousness, is, sin, and there, is, a sin, not unto death.
17 Toda a injustiça é pecado, e há pecado que não é para morte.
18 We know that, whosoever hath been born of God, is not committing sin,Nay, he that hath been born of God, He keepeth him, and, the wicked one, doth not touch him.
18 Sabemos que todo aquele que é nascido de Deus não peca; mas o que é gerado por Deus guarda-se a si mesmo, e o maligno não lhe toca.
19 We know that, of God, are we; and, the whole world, in the wicked one, is lying.
19 E nós sabemos que somos de Deus, e que todo o mundo jaz no maligno.
20 We know, moreover, that, the Son of God, hath come, and hath given us insight, so that we are getting to understand, him that is Real,and we are in him that is Real, in his Son Jesus Christ. This, is the Real God, and life age-abiding.
20 E sabemos que o Filho de Deus veio, e nos deu um entendimento, que podemos conhecer aquele que é verdadeiro; e nós estamos naquele que é verdadeiro, ou seja, em seu Filho Jesus Cristo. Este é o verdadeiro Deus, e a vida eterna.
21 Dear children! Guard yourselves from idols.
21 Filhinhos, guardai-vos dos ídolos. Amém.
