2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;

3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 Sa yena mʉsa cua pesaro mehna apequinare tutuaro cahĩñe mehna yena, cua pesaro mehna yahuna, ti pehere ihña bucuegʉ̃ yeya. Ti pehere mʉsa yegʉ̃ ihyo waro ijierare, Cohãcjʉ̃ ihñagʉ̃.
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Sata yee tiahye panopʉ cjẽna numia Cohãcjʉ̃ yequina numia. Tiquina numia Cohãcjʉ̃re wacũ tutuaye numia ijiye, tiquina manʉsʉmʉare yʉhdʉdʉcaera tiahye.
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Ahri mehna mʉsare yahu bato tiitja: Mʉsa ijipihtina ihcãno saha quehnoano mehna ijiya. Sa yena mʉsa mehna cjẽnare quehnoano paja ihñaña. Mʉsa acaye Jesu yequinare pʉa peheri cahme cahĩña. Sa yena quehnoano yeya tiquinare. Sa ye “Ihyo ijina ijiaja”, ni tʉhotuya.

9 Apequina mʉsare tiquina ñano yegʉ̃ tiquinare ñano ye cahmedacãhña. Mʉsare tiquina tuhtigʉ̃ tiquinare tuhti cahmedacãhña. Mʉsare tiquina sa yepegʉ̃ta quehnoano yeya tiquinare. Sa yena “Quehnoano ijiya”, niña tiquinare. Tire yeatinare tiquiro yequinare cũri mʉsare Cohãcjʉ̃ pehe mʉsare quehnoano yero taro.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Sata nine Cohãcjʉ̃ yere tiquina ojoari pũpʉ:
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Ñañe yeyere duhu cãhña. Quehnoañe pehere yeya. Cahme mʉsa basi ihña tuhtiro marieno ijiya. Tire tutuaro yeya.
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Quehnoañequinare mari pʉhtoro sa ihña ihboducuro nine. Sa yero tiquirore tiquina siniñene sa tʉhoducuro nine. Ñano yeyequina pehere tiquiro ihña tuhtire, ni ojoahye.
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Quehnoañene mʉsa tutuaro ye duagʉ̃ apequina pehe mʉsare ñano yʉhdʉgʉ̃ ye duaye, ye masisi tiquina.
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Quehnoano mʉsa yepegʉ̃ta mʉsare tiquina ñano yʉhdʉgʉ̃ yegʉ̃ ihñano Cohãcjʉ̃ mʉsare quehnoano yerota. Tiquiro sa yegʉ̃ mʉsare ñano ye duayequinare cueracãhña. Sa yena bʉjʉa witieracãhña.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Mʉsa Cristore “Ʉsã pʉhtoro ijire”, ni tʉhotuna, ño peoya tiquirore. Sa yena Cristore mʉsa wacũ tutuayere, Cohãcjʉ̃ mehna mʉsa ijiatire apequina sinituboaga. Tiquina sa sinituato pano tiquinare mʉsa yʉhtiatire quehnoano masiyuya. Sa yʉhtina cahĩno mehna, quehnoano ño peoye mehna yahuya tiquinare.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Ñañene mʉsa yeri buhiri mʉsa ñano yʉhdʉgʉ̃ quehnoaedare. Sa yero Cohãcjʉ̃ cahmegʉ̃ quehnoañene mʉsa yeri buhiri mʉsa ñano yʉhdʉgʉ̃ quehnoarĩne ti pũrita.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Sata ñano yʉhdʉri Cristo. Ihcã tahata ijipihtiyequina tiquina ñañe buhirire yariari tiquiro. Quehnoariquiro ijiri. Sa yero mari ñañe buhiri ñano yʉhdʉri tiquiro. Ñano yʉhdʉri tiquiro marine Cohãcjʉ̃ yequina wahagʉ̃ yero taro. Tiquiro pagʉ yariaa wahari. Yariari bato tiquiro masari jiri.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.

21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.

22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
