1 Pedro 2
Ʉlwitɨkano Ʉlʉpya (NYY) vs VC
1 Kʉnongwa ɨjo, mubʉleke ʉbʉbiibi boosa, ʉbʉtʉngʉlʉ, ʉbʉsyobi, ʉbʉʉfi nʉ kʉjobana ʉbʉbiibi.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 — ausente —
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 — ausente —
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 ɄNtwa Jesu lyo ibwe ɨlyʉmi ɨlya kʉjengela. Ɨliibwe ɨlyo abandʉ baalɨkaanile, looli Kyala alɨsʉngwile, kangɨ lya ntengo nkyeni mmyake. Ʉlʉ musegelele kwa Jesu,
4 — ausente —
5 po na nuumwe Kyala ikʉbabombela ʉlwa mabwe amʉʉmi ʉkʉjenga ɨtempeli ɨjaa mwa Mbepo Mwikemo. Mu tempeli ɨjɨ, ʉmwe kangɨ mulɨ bapuuti abiikemo. Mukʉsoosya amakemo agaa mwa Mbepo aga gikʉnhobosya Kyala, kʉ maka agaa Jesu Kɨlɨsiti.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Po mwa Kalata ʉMwikemo Kyala ikʉjoba ikʉtɨ,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Iibwe ɨlyo lyo lya ntengo kʉmyɨnu ʉmwe mwe mukʉmmwitɨka, looli kʉlɨ aba batikʉmmwitɨka,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 na,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Looli ʉmwe mulɨ basʉngʉligwa baa Kyala, ʉmwe mulɨ bapuuti baa kɨnyafyale, ʉmwe mulɨ kɨkolo ɨkiikemo, kokʉtɨ mulɨ bandʉ baake jʉʉjo. Mwasʉngʉliigwe ʉkʉtɨ mufumusyege ɨnduufyo sya Kyala, ʉjʉ aabakooliile ʉkʉtɨ musookemo mu ngiisi, ʉkʉtɨ mujege kʉmyake ndʉmuli lwake ʉlʉnunu.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Kʉbwandɨlo mukaalɨ bandʉ baa Kyala, looli akabalɨlo aka mulɨ bandʉ baake. Kangɨ mukaalyambɨliile iipyana lya Kyala, looli akabalɨlo aka mulyambɨliile.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Bakʉndwe, ngʉbapyelesya, paapo mulɨ baheesya nkiisʉ muno kangɨ mukʉkɨnda, mufileke ɨfinyonyo fyɨnu ɨfya tʉndʉ ʉtwa pakiisʉ, ɨfi fikʉlwa ʉbwite na nuumwe.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Mujege na kajɨɨlo akanunu pakatɨ pa bandʉ abapanja, aba mukʉtʉʉgala nabo. Po nalɨnga bikʉbajoba ʉkʉtɨ mukʉbomba kabiibi, basibonege ɨmbombo syɨnu ɨnunu, abandʉ aabikʉntuufyaga Kyala kʉnongwa jɨɨnu pi isikʉ lya bʉlongi bwake.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Mwijiisyege kʉ balongosi boosa, paapo mulɨ bandʉ baa Ntwa Jesu. Mummwɨmɨkege ʉmalafyale gwa kiisʉ, paapo ʉmwene jo ndamuli ʉnkʉlʉmba ʉgwa bandʉ boosa.
13 — ausente —
14 Kangɨ mubɨɨmɨkege abalongosi baa fiisʉ, paapo ʉmalafyale abasalile ʉkʉbafunda abandʉ aba bikʉtʉla ɨnongwa, nʉ kʉbatuufya aba bikʉbomba ɨnunu.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Po Kyala ikʉlonda mubombege ɨnunu, ʉkʉtɨ abakonyofu aba bakasyagania kanunu, balɨngajaga nalyo nalɨmo ɨlya kʉbajoba ʉbʉbiibi ʉmwe.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ʉmwe mulɨ baabʉke, leelo mulɨngabombelaga ʉbwabʉke bwɨnu ʉkʉbomba ɨmbiibi, looli mutʉʉgalege bo muno ababombeli baa Kyala bikʉlondeligwa ʉkʉtʉʉgala.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Mubɨɨmɨkege abandʉ boosa nʉ kʉbagana abiitɨki biinɨɨnu. Muntiilege Kyala nʉ kʉmmwɨmɨka ʉmalafyale.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Lɨnga ʉgwe ʉlɨ ntʉmwa gwa nkabi pakiisʉ apa, gwijiisyege kʉmyake, kangɨ ʉmmwɨmɨkege. Kʉkaja kokʉtɨ ʉmwene nnunu kangɨ mooloolo itolo, looli nalɨnga ʉmwene nkalɨ.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Lɨnga kʉʉmɨɨlɨla ʉkʉtaamigwa, kʉ nongwa jaa kʉnngana Kyala, kɨsita kʉtʉla ɨnongwa, kʉsajigwa.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Lɨnga kʉbomba kabiibi kangɨ kʉʉmɨɨlɨla mu ngʉbɨlo ɨsya kʉkʉfunda kʉ bʉbiibi, bʉle kwinogona ʉkʉtɨ kwambɨlɨla ɨnduufyo? Looli lɨnga kʉʉmɨɨlɨla ʉkʉtaamigwa paapo ʉbombile ɨnunu, po Kyala ikʉkʉsaja.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Mukooleliigwe ʉkʉtɨ mʉʉmɨɨlɨlege bo ʉlo paapo Kɨlɨsiti jʉʉjo aalyʉmɨɨliile ʉkʉtaamigwa kʉnongwa jɨɨnu. Ʉmwene gwa kʉkeetelamo, ʉkʉtɨ mwendege mu njɨla jɨlajɨla bo ɨjɨ aalyendile ʉmwene.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “Ʉmwene akaatʉlile ɨnongwa,
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Bo bikʉntʉka akaagomwisye iisyʉ nalɨmo ɨlya kʉheelula. Bo bikʉntaamya akaagelilepo ʉkʉbagomokesya lyolyosa ɨlya kʉbatiilɨsya. Looli syosa aalɨnndekiile Kyala ʉjʉ ikʉbalonga abandʉ kʉ bwanalooli.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Kɨlɨsiti jʉʉjo aapɨmbile ʉbʉtʉlanongwa bwɨtʉ mu mbɨlɨ gwake pa kɨkohekano, ʉkʉtɨ ʉswe tʉgoge ɨfinyonyo fyɨtʉ ɨfi fikʉtʉpela ʉkʉbomba ʉbʉtʉlanongwa, looli tʉkabe ʉbʉʉmi ʉbwa kʉnkyela Kyala. Ʉmwene aakabile ɨfifulalo ʉkʉtɨ ʉmwe mupone.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Mwasobile bo ʉlwa ngʼoosi ɨsi sisobile ɨnjɨla, looli lɨɨlɨno munngomokiile ʉNtwa Jesu, ʉNtiimi gwɨnu ʉjʉ ikʉbalɨndɨlɨla.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
