New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs VC
1 Jehovah lays the earth waste, annihilates it, disfigures its surface and scatters its inhabitants.
1 Eis que o Senhor devasta a terra e a torna deserta, transtorna a sua face e dispersa seus habitantes.
2 The people will be like the one officiating, the servant like his master, the maid like her mistress, the buyer like the seller, the lender like the borrower, the creditor like the debtor.
2 Isso acontece ao sacerdote como ao leigo, ao senhor como ao escravo, à senhora como à serva, ao vendedor como ao comprador, ao que empresta como ao que toma emprestado, ao credor como ao devedor.
3 The earth will be completely uninhabitable and totally plundered. Jehovah has spoken this word.
3 A terra será totalmente devastada, inteiramente pilhada, porque o Senhor assim o decidiu.
4 The earth mourns and fades away, the world fades and withers, the exalted people of the earth mourn.
4 A terra está na desolação, murcha; o mundo definha e esmorece, e os chefes do povo estão aterrados.
5 The inhabitants of the earth pollute the earth. They transgress laws and violate statutes. They break the everlasting covenant.
5 A terra foi profanada por seus habitantes, porque transgrediram as leis, violaram as regras e romperam a aliança eterna.
6 A curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are found guilty. Therefore, those living on the earth are burned, and few men are left.
6 Por isso a maldição devora a terra e seus habitantes expiam suas penas; os habitantes da terra são consumidos, um pequeno número de homens sobrevive.
7 The new wine mourns, the vine decays and the merry-hearted sigh.
7 O mosto está triste, a vinha, murcha, e os que tinham o coração em alegria suspiram.
8 The joyful sound of tambourines ceases. The noise of revelers and the delight of the harp cease.
8 O som alegre dos tamborins cessou, os risos morreram e o som alegre da cítara calou-se.
9 They no longer drink wine with a song. The beverage is bitter to its drinkers.
9 Não se canta mais bebendo vinho. O licor é amargo ao bebedor.
10 The ruined city lies desolate. The entrance to every house is barred and none may enter.
10 A cidade desordenada está em ruínas, todas as casas fechadas, para que ninguém possa entrar nelas.
11 In the streets they cry out for wine. Joy turns to gloom and rejoicing is banished from the earth.
11 Gritam nas ruas: Não há mais vinho! Acabada a alegria, o regozijo foi banido da terra.
12 The city is left in ruins; its gate is battered to pieces.
12 Na cidade só restam escombros e a porta arrombada está em pedaços,
13 So will it be on the earth and among the nations, as when an olive tree is beaten, or as when gleanings are left after the grape harvest.
13 pois isso acontece na terra, no meio dos povos, como com as oliveiras que alguém vareja, como com as uvas que, acabada a vindima, alguém rebusca.
14 They raise their voices and shout for joy. From the west they acclaim Jehovahs majesty.
14 Eles elevam a voz e cantam, do lado do mar aclamam a majestade do Senhor:
15 Therefore in the east give glory to Jehovah. Exalt the name of Jehovah the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.
15 Glorificai, pois, ao Senhor, nas regiões da luz, e, nas ilhas do mar, o nome do Senhor, Deus de Israel.
16 Listen to them as they sing to Jehovah from the ends of the earth: »Glory and praise to the righteous one!« But I say: »My heart is heavy with grief. I am discouraged, for evil still prevails, and treachery is everywhere.«
16 Dos confins da terra, ouvimos cantar: Honra ao justo! Eu, porém, disse: Infeliz de mim, infeliz de mim! Ai de mim! Os salteadores saqueiam, os salteadores obstinam-se na pilhagem.
17 Terror and traps and snares will be your lot, you people of the earth.
17 O terror, a fossa e a cilada vão apanhar-te, habitante da terra.
18 Those who flee in terror will fall into a trap, and those who escape the trap will step into a snare. Destruction falls on you from the heavens. The world is shaken beneath you.
18 O que fugir para escapar do terror cairá na fossa, o que se livrar da fossa será preso no laço. Porque as comportas lá do alto abrir-se-ão e os fundamentos da terra serão abalados.
19 The earth is broken and destroyed and it is split into pieces. The earth is shaken violently.
19 A terra é feita em pedaços: estala, fende-se, é sacudida,
20 The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard and it quakes like a shack in the wind. Its transgression is heavy upon it, and it will fall, never to rise again.
20 cambaleia como um homem embriagado e balança como uma rede. Seus crimes pesam sobre ela, e ela cairá para não mais se levantar.
21 That day Jehovah will punish the host of heaven on high and the kings of the earth below.
21 Naquele tempo o Senhor, lá do alto, examinará a milícia celeste e os reis do mundo, sobre a terra.
22 They will be gathered like prisoners in the dungeon tower. They will be confined in prison and after many days they will be punished.
22 Serão amontoados como prisioneiros num calabouço, serão encerrados numa prisão, e, depois de muitos dias, serão castigados.
23 Then the moon will be abashed and the sun ashamed, For Jehovah of Hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And his glory will be before his elders.
23 A lua corará de vergonha e o sol empalidecerá, porque o Senhor dos exércitos reinará sobre o monte Sião e em Jerusalém, e sua glória resplandecerá diante de seus anciãos.
