Isaías 14
New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs NAA
1 Jehovah will have compassion on Jacob and again choose Israel. He will resettle them in their own country. Foreigners will join them and unite with the descendants of Jacob.
1 Porque o Senhor se compadecerá de Jacó e voltará a escolher Israel, estabelecendo-os na sua própria terra. A eles se juntarão os estrangeiros, e estes farão parte da casa de Jacó.
2 People will take them and bring them to their own place. The nation of Israel will possess nations as male and female slaves in Jehovahs land. They will take their captors captive and rule their oppressors.
2 Os povos os pegarão e os levarão aos lugares deles, e a casa de Israel terá esses povos por servos e servas, na terra do Senhor . Os israelitas terão como prisioneiros aqueles que os tinham aprisionado e dominarão os seus opressores.
3 When that day comes, Jehovah will give you relief from your pain and suffering, from the hard slavery you were forced to do.
3 Povo de Israel, no dia em que Deus vier a dar-lhe descanso do sofrimento, das angústias e da dura servidão que lhe foi imposta,
4 You will mock the king of Babylon with this saying: »How the tyrant has come to an end! How his attacks have come to an end!
4 você proferirá esta sátira contra o rei da Babilônia: Como cessou o opressor! Como acabou a tirania!
5 »Jehovah has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of rulers.
5 O Senhor quebrou o bastão dos ímpios e o cetro dos dominadores,
6 »They struck the people with fury, with blows that did not stop. They ruled nations in anger, persecuting them without restraint.
6 que feriam os povos com furor, com golpes incessantes, e com ira dominavam as nações, com perseguição irreprimível.
7 »The whole earth rests and is quiet. It breaks out into shouts of joy.
7 Agora toda a terra descansa e está sossegada. Todos dão gritos de alegria.
8 »Even the cypress trees rejoice over you. The cedars of Lebanon say: Since you have fallen, no lumberjack has come to attack us.
8 Até os ciprestes se alegram por causa de você, e os cedros do Líbano exclamam: “Desde que você caiu, ninguém mais vem para nos cortar.”
9 »The grave below wakes up to meet you when you come. It wakes up those who are dead, all who were leaders on earth. It raises all who were kings of the nations from their thrones.
9 Lá embaixo, o mundo dos mortos se agita por causa de você, para sair ao seu encontro quando você chegar. Por sua causa, ele desperta as sombras e todos os príncipes da terra, e faz levantar dos seus tronos todos os reis das nações.
10 »All of them will greet you: You also have become weak like us! You have become like one of us!
10 Todos estes começam a falar e se dirigem a você, dizendo: “Então também você enfraqueceu como nós? E você se tornou como um de nós?
11 »Your pride has been brought down to the grave along with the music of your harps. Maggots are spread out like a bed under you, and worms cover you.
11 A sua soberba foi jogada no abismo, junto com o som das suas harpas. A sua cama é de larvas e os vermes são a sua coberta.”
12 »O how you have fallen from heaven, you morning star shining one, and son of the dawn! How you have been cut down to the ground, you who conquered nations!
12 Veja como você caiu do céu, ó estrela da manhã, filho da alva! Veja como você foi lançado por terra, você que debilitava as nações!
13 »You thought: I will go up to heaven Mount Zion and set up my throne above God's stars messengers. I will sit on the mountain of meeting far away in the north where the gods assemble.
13 Você pensava assim: “Subirei ao céu, exaltarei o meu trono acima das estrelas e me assentarei no monte da congregação, nas extremidades do Norte.
14 »I will go above the top of the clouds. I will be like the Most High.
14 Subirei acima das mais altas nuvens e serei semelhante ao Altíssimo.”
15 »But you have been brought down to the grave, to the deepest part of the pit.
15 Mas você descerá ao mundo dos mortos, no mais profundo do abismo.
16 »Those who see you stare at you. They look at you closely and say: Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook the kingdoms,
16 Os que virem você olharão atentamente e perguntarão: “É este o homem que fazia a terra tremer e que abalava os reinos?
17 who made the world like a desert and tore down its cities and did not let his prisoners go home?
17 Que transformava o mundo num deserto e arrasava as suas cidades? Que não deixava os seus prisioneiros voltarem para casa?”
18 All the kings of the nations, all of them, have been buried with honor, each in his own tomb.
18 Todos os reis das nações, sim, todos jazem com honra, cada um em seu túmulo.
19 However you are thrown out of your tomb like a rejected branch. You are covered with those who were killed in battle. You go down to the stones bottom of the pit like a trampled corpse.
19 Mas você é lançado fora da sua sepultura, como um renovo abominável, coberto de mortos traspassados à espada e que descem à cova de pedras, como um cadáver pisoteado.
20 You ruined your country and killed your own people. For that reason, you will not be buried like other kings. None of your evil family will survive.
20 Você não se reunirá com eles na sepultura, porque você destruiu a sua própria terra e matou o seu próprio povo. A descendência dos malfeitores jamais será nomeada.
21 »Prepare a slaughtering place! The sons of this king will die because of their ancestors' sins. None of them will ever rule the earth or cover it with cities.«
21 Preparem a matança dos filhos dele por causa da maldade de seus pais, para que esses não se levantem, tomem posse da terra, e encham o mundo de cidades.
22 Jehovah of Hosts declares: »I will attack Babylon and bring it to ruin. I will leave nothing! There will be no children, no survivors at all. I, Jehovah, have spoken.
22 — Eu me levantarei contra eles, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. Acabarei com o nome e os sobreviventes da Babilônia, com os seus descendentes e a sua posteridade, diz o Senhor .
23 »I will turn Babylon into a marsh. Porcupines will live there. I will sweep Babylon with a broom that will sweep everything away.« I, the Sovereign Lord Jehovah have spoken.
23 Farei dela a habitação de ouriços e um lugar de pântanos. Vou varrê-la com a vassoura da destruição, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
24 Jehovah of Hosts has sworn an oath: »What I have intended devised will happen. What I have determined to do will be done.
24 O Senhor dos Exércitos jurou, dizendo: “Como pensei, assim será, e, como determinei, assim acontecerá.
25 »In my land of Israel I will trample them on my mountains. I will free my people from the Assyrian yoke and from the burdens they have had to bear.«
25 Esmagarei a Assíria na minha terra e nas minhas montanhas a pisarei, para que o seu jugo se afaste de Israel, e a sua carga se desvie dos ombros dele.
26 This is my purpose planadvise for the world, and my arm extended power is stretched out to punish the nations.

27 Jehovah of Hosts is determined to do this. He has stretched out his arm to punish, and no one can stop him.
27 Pois, se o Senhor dos Exércitos o determinou, quem poderá invalidá-lo? Se a mão dele está estendida, quem a fará voltar atrás?
28 This message was proclaimed in the year that King Ahaz died:
28 No ano em que o rei Acaz morreu, foi pronunciada esta sentença:
29 »The rod that beat you is broken, but you have no reason to be glad. When one snake dies, a worse one comes in its place. A snake's egg hatches a flying dragon.
29 “Não se alegrem, todos vocês da Filístia, por estar quebrada a vara que os feria. Porque da raiz da cobra sairá uma víbora, e o seu fruto será uma serpente voadora.
30 »Jehovah will be a shepherd to the poor of his people and will let them live in safety. But he will send a terrible famine on you Philistines. It will not leave any of you alive.
30 Os primogênitos dos pobres serão apascentados, e os necessitados se deitarão em segurança. Porém farei morrer de fome a sua raiz, ó Filístia, e os seus sobreviventes serão mortos.
31 »Howl and cry for help, all you Philistine cities! Be terrified, all of you! A cloud of dust is coming from the north. It is an army with no cowards in its ranks.«
31 Uive, ó portão! Grite, ó cidade! Todos vocês da Filístia, tremam de medo! Porque do Norte vem fumaça, e ninguém há que se afaste das suas fileiras.”
32 What then will one answer the messengers that come to us from Philistia? We will tell them that Jehovah has established Zion and in her the poor and afflicted of his people find refuge.
32 Que resposta se dará, então, aos mensageiros daquele povo? “O e nela os aflitos do seu povo encontram refúgio.”
