2 Ye know that after two days the passover takes place, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified.
3 Kanɩn saŋa maŋa nɩɩ aseepu bɩlɩsa yɛ asa mʋ abɩlɩsa ba naa sarɛ oseepu bɩlɩsa asɛ mʋ nɩɩ bɛɛ tɩɩ yɛ Kayifasi mʋ lenbu tɔ,
3 Then the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered together to the palace of the high priest who was called Caiaphas,
4 naa ŋmina kanan mʋ nɩɩ ba taa kanyaasɩn ɔkpa sʋ kɩtaa Yesu kɛ ba mɔɔ mʋ.
4 and took counsel together in order that they might seize Jesus by subtlety and kill him;
5 Amaa ba tɔwɛ yɛ, “A man waa kanɩn kensi‐gyii saŋa nɩmʋ tɔ, nɩɩ man gyɛ kanɩn mʋ, sʋgʋrɛ‐sʋgʋrɛ ii biti ɔ ba kadɛ mʋ tɔ.”
5 but they said, Not in the feast, that there be not a tumult among the people.

7 a woman, having an alabaster flask of very precious ointment, came to him and poured it out upon his head as he lay at table.
8 Yesu abɩɩlapʋ ba maa wu kanɩn mʋ, ɩ basa bamʋ nɩɩ ba taasɛ yɛ, “Mɩnɛ ɩ waa nɩɩ ɔkyɩɩ mʋ ii nyita tulale maa kanɩn?
8 But the disciples seeing it became indignant, saying, To what end {was} this waste?
9 Naafɔɔ bɛ taalɛ fɛ tulale nɩmʋ nyɛ afulee damantɛ kɛ ba taa ɩmʋ sa atiripu.”
9 for this might have been sold for much and been given to the poor.
10 Yesu maa bɩɩ asɩn mʋ nɩɩ bɛɛ tɔwɛ mʋ, nɩɩ ɔ taasɛ bamʋ yɛ, “Mɩnɛ ɩ waa nɩɩ fɛn tɔɔrɔɔ ɔkyɩɩ maŋa? Kʋtɔ danbɩrasa nɩɩ ɔ waa sa mɛ falɛ.
10 But Jesus knowing {it} said to them, Why do ye trouble the woman? for she has wrought a good work toward me.
11 Atiripu mʋ bɩrɛ ba bʋ fanɛ asɛ saŋa kʋmaa, amaa mɛɛmɛ bɩrɛ n mɛɛ yɛ n kyɩna fanɛ asɛ saŋa kʋmaa.
11 For ye have the poor always with you, but me ye have not always.
12 Maa kyɛɛgɛ tulale nɩmʋ wʋrɩgɛ mɛ n‐yɩɩ sʋ mʋ, ɛɛ lɔŋɔ mɛ n‐yɩɩ ɛɛ yɩla mi kepula.
12 For in pouring out this ointment on my body, she has done it for my burying.
13 N tɔwɛ fanɛ kesintin nɩn fɛɛ, dulinyaa tɔ katɩn kʋmaa mʋ nɩɩ ba tɔwɛ asɩn danbɩrasa mʋ, bee biti ba tɔwɛ kʋtɔ mʋ nɩɩ ɔ waa falɛ taa nyiŋi mʋ.”
13 Verily I say to you, Wheresoever these glad tidings may be preached in the whole world, that also which this {woman} has done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
14 Nɩɩ abɩɩlapʋ kudu anyɔ mʋ tɔ ɔkʋ, mʋ nɩɩ bɛɛ tɩɩ yɛ Gyudasi Isikariyoti mʋ kpee aseepu abɩlɩsa mʋ asɛ,

15 and said, What are ye willing to give me, and *I* will deliver him up to you? And they appointed to him thirty pieces of silver.
16 Lɩɩ kanɩn saŋa maŋa taa kyʋn mʋ, Gyudasi piili ee biti ɔkpa mʋ nɩɩ ɔ bɔla sʋ lɛɛ Yesu sa.
16 And from that time he sought a good opportunity that he might deliver him up.
17 Bodobodo mʋ nɩɩ kɩ man sʋ kɩfɛ tinsa kigyii kakɛ gyankpaasa mʋ, Yesu abɩɩlapʋ mʋ ba ba mʋ asɛ ba taasɛ mʋ yɛ, “Fɩnɛ nɩɩ fii biti fɛɛ a naa lɔŋɔ yɩla, kɛ a naa gyii Kanyaŋɛ nbunɔ kesu kensi‐gyii mʋ?”

18 Nɩɩ ɔ tɔwɛ bamʋ yɛ, “Fan kpee kadɛ mʋ tɔ ɔnyɩn kʋ asɛ naa tɔwɛ mʋ yɛ, ‘Ɔkaapʋpʋ mʋ yɛ, Mɛ saŋa tiri tɔ. N biti fɛɛ n maa mɛ abɩɩlapʋ an biti a ba gyii Kanyaŋɛ nbunɔ kensi‐gyii mʋ fʋ ayɛ.’ ”
18 And he said, Go into the city unto such a one, and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is near, I will keep the passover in thy house with my disciples.
19 Nɩɩ mʋ abɩɩlapʋ mʋ ba kpee naa waa kanan mʋ nɩɩ ɔ tɔwɛ bamʋ mʋ, nɩɩ ba waa Kanyaŋɛ nbunɔ kensi‐gyii mʋ agyitɔ mʋ yɩla.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the passover.
20 Ɩ maa fʋʋ kalaatɩpwɛ sʋ mʋ, Yesu maa mʋ abɩɩlapʋ kudu anyɔ mʋ, ba tɛ bee gyii.
20 And when the evening was come he lay down at table with the twelve.
21 Ba maa gyii mʋ nɩɩ Yesu tɔwɛ bamʋ yɛ, “N tɔwɛ fanɛ kesintin fɛɛ, fanɛ tɔ ɔkʋ ii biti ɔ lɛɛ mɛ sa.”
21 And as they were eating he said, Verily I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up.
22 Nɩɩ bamʋ nfɛɛrɛ tɔ ii nyita bamʋ gaa, nɩɩ ba piili bɛɛ taasɛ mʋ kʋkʋlʋn‐kʋkʋlʋn yɛ “Ɔnyɩrɩpɛ, kesintin tɔ, man gyɛ mɛ nɩɩ fʋ dɛɛ?”
22 And being exceedingly grieved they began to say to him, each of them, Is it *I*, Lord?
23 Nɩɩ Yesu lɛɛ bamʋ kɔnɔ yɛ, “Ɔmʋ nɩɩ maa mʋ abaa ɩ bʋga ii loo lapɛ kʋlʋn tɔ mʋ, ii biti ɔ lɛɛ mɛ sa.
23 But he answering said, He that dips his hand with me in the dish, *he* it is who shall deliver me up.
24 Fɛɛ kanan mʋ nɩɩ Asɩnkyan yɩlasa mʋ ɩ tɔwɛ yɛ mɛ, Daadimaadi Obii‐nyɩnsa n biti n wu mʋ, kanɩn nɩɩ ii biti ɩ waa. Amaa kanɩn nyɩmɩsa mʋ nɩɩ ee biti ɔ lɛɛ mɛ sa mʋ, laakʋ. Nɩɩ ba man da kʋʋgɛ mʋ gbaa nɩn, naafɔɔ ɩ bɔ.”
24 The Son of man goes indeed, according as it is written concerning him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is delivered up; it were good for that man if he had not been born.
25 Tʋtɔ nɩɩ Gyudasi mʋ nɩɩ ee biti ɔ lɛɛ mʋ sa mʋ gbaa taasɛ Yesu yɛ, “Ɔkaapʋpʋ mɛ nɩɩ fʋ dɛɛ?”
25 And Judas, who delivered him up, answering said, Is it *I*, Rabbi? He says to him, *Thou* hast said.

27 Nɩɩ ɔ taa kɔɔpʋ mʋ, nɩɩ ɔ fwaala Ɩbwaarɛ, nɩɩ ɔ taa sa mʋ abɩɩlapʋ mʋ tɔwɛ yɛ, “Fanɛ kpini fan kɔɔlɛ kɛ fan nuu lɩɩ kɩmʋ tɔ.
27 And having taken {the} cup and given thanks, he gave {it} to them, saying, Drink ye all of it.
28 Kɩnɩmʋ ɩ gyɛ mɛ nkalan mʋ nɩɩ ki ŋmina Ɩbwaarɛ katɔwɛ kyula pʋpwɛ mʋ, nɩɩ ɩ kyɛɛgɛ wʋrɩgɛ sa asa gaalaagaa alibi kɩtaa kɛɛ sʋ.
28 For this is my blood, that of the {new} covenant, that shed for many for remission of sins.
29 N tɔwɛ fanɛ nɩn yɛ, n man bɩla yɛ n nuu falɛ nta nɩmʋ naa fʋʋ kakɛ mʋ nɩɩ n maa fanɛ an biti a nuu nta pʋpwɛ mɛ‐Sɛ kuwura‐gyii mʋ tɔ mʋ.”
29 But I say to you, that I will not at all drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father.
30 Nɩɩ ba maa bɩɩ ɔlʋn lʋwɛ mʋ, ba kʋsʋ kyʋn olifu kɩbɩɩ sʋ.

31 Disse-lhes então Jesus: Esta noite serei para todos vós uma ocasião de queda; porque está escrito: Ferirei o pastor, e as ovelhas do rebanho serão dispersadas {Zc 13,7}.

32 Mas, depois da minha Ressurreição, eu vos precederei na Galiléia.

33 Pedro interveio: Mesmo que sejas para todos uma ocasião de queda, para mim jamais o serás.
34 Nɩɩ Yesu lɛɛ mʋ kɔnɔ yɛ, “N tɔwɛ fʋ kesintin yɛ, kagyanbwɛ nɩmʋ pɔyɩ kɛ kyaasɛ ɔ bʋn mʋ, fii biti fu kina mɛ ɩlɩɩ ɩsa.”
34 Disse-lhe Jesus: Em verdade te digo: nesta noite mesma, antes que o galo cante, três vezes me negarás.
35 Nɩɩ Pita lɛɛ mʋ kɔnɔ yɛ, “Halɩɩ bee biti ba mɔɔ n maa fʋ gbaa n mɛɛ yɛ n tɔwɛ kanɩn kpini‐kpini.” Nɩɩ abɩɩlapʋ abanban mʋ gbaa ba tɔwɛ kanɩn.
35 Respondeu-lhe Pedro: Mesmo que seja necessário morrer contigo, jamais te negarei! E todos os outros discípulos diziam-lhe o mesmo.
36 Nɩɩ Yesu maa mʋ abɩɩlapʋ mʋ ba kpee katɩn mʋ nɩɩ bɛɛ tɩɩ yɛ Gesemani, nɩɩ ɔ tɔwɛ bamʋ yɛ, “Fan kyɩna nfɩɩ kɛ n kpee falɛ naa kʋlɛ kabwaarɛ‐kʋlɛ.”
36 Retirou-se Jesus com eles para um lugar chamado Getsêmani e disse-lhes: Assentai-vos aqui, enquanto eu vou ali orar.
37 Nɩɩ ɔ taa Pita maa Sebedi mu‐bii ana anyɔ buu mʋ n‐yɩɩ kpee. Tʋtɔ nɩɩ mʋ kɔkɔlɔ nyita mʋ.
37 E, tomando consigo Pedro e os dois filhos de Zebedeu, começou a entristecer-se e a angustiar-se.
38 Nɩɩ ɔ tɔwɛ bamʋ yɛ, “Mɛ kɔkɔlɔ tɔ ɩɩ kɔ mɛ lewu‐lewu, halɩɩ ii biti ɩ mɔɔ mɛ. Ɩmʋ sʋ fan kyɩna nfɩɩ tii mɛ sʋ kɛ fan man dɛ.”
38 Disse-lhes, então: Minha alma está triste até a morte. Ficai aqui e vigiai comigo.
39 Tʋtɔ nɩɩ o nin kpee ansi tɔ gbɛrɛɛ naa kyʋn bun ɛɛ kʋlɛ kabwaarɛ‐kʋlɛ yɛ, “Mɛ‐Sɛ, nɩɩ ii biti ɩ waa mʋ, lɛɛ awʋrʋfɔ mʋ nɩɩ ɩɩ ba mɛ sʋ falɛ lɩɩ mɛ sʋ. Amaa yɛgɛ ɩ waa fu kebiti, man gyɛ mi kebiti.”
39 Adiantou-se um pouco e, prostrando-se com a face por terra, assim rezou: Meu Pai, se é possível, afasta de mim este cálice! Todavia não se faça o que eu quero, mas sim o que tu queres.
40 Nɩɩ o bwii ba abɩɩlapʋ asa mʋ asɛ ba tu ba maa dɛ nsɩɩrɛ, nɩɩ ɔ taasɛ Pita yɛ, “Amɔɔ fɛn mɛɛ taalɛ kyɩna yɛ mɛ kerefi kʋlʋn yɛgɛ fan man dɛ?
40 Foi ter então com os discípulos e os encontrou dormindo. E disse a Pedro: Então não pudestes vigiar uma hora comigo...
41 Fan kyɩna fan man dɛ, yɛgɛ fan kʋlɛ kabwaarɛ‐kʋlɛ, kɛ fan man tɩyɛ kʋtʋʋ tɔ kɩɩ tɔ. Fanɛ n‐yaayu ii biti ɩ waa kʋtɔ mʋ nɩɩ kɩ bʋrɔn, amaa fanɛ n‐yɩɩ‐wʋlɛ pɔɔ.”
41 Vigiai e orai para que não entreis em tentação. O espírito está pronto, mas a carne é fraca.
42 Yesu bɩla bwii kpee ɩlɩɩ nyɔsapʋ naa kʋlɛ kabwaarɛ‐kʋlɛ yɛ, “Mɛ‐Sɛ, nɩɩ ɩ mɛɛ yɛ ɩ waa fʋ fɛɛ fʋ lɛɛ falɛ awʋrʋfɔ kɔɔpʋ nɩmʋ lɩɩ mɛ sʋ, nɩɩ ɩ dagaa fɛɛ n gyii awʋrʋfɔ maa mʋ, yɛgɛ fu kebiti kɩ waa kanɩn.”
42 Afastou-se pela segunda vez e orou, dizendo: Meu Pai, se não é possível que este cálice passe sem que eu o beba, faça-se a tua vontade!
43 Maa bɩla bwii ba abɩɩlapʋ asa mʋ asɛ mʋ, o be tu bamʋ ba maa dɛ nsɩɩrɛ. Lɩɩ fɛɛ ba man taalɛ galɛ nsɩɩrɛ.
43 Voltou ainda e os encontrou novamente dormindo, porque seus olhos estavam pesados.
44 Nɩɩ Yesu bɩla yɛgɛ bamʋ nɩɩ o kpee naa kʋlɛ kabwaarɛ‐kʋlɛ kɩsasapʋ ɛɛ tɔwɛ asɩn kʋlʋn maŋa.
44 Deixou-os e foi orar pela terceira vez, dizendo as mesmas palavras.

45 Voltou então para os seus discípulos e disse-lhes: Dormi agora e repousai! Chegou a hora: o Filho do Homem vai ser entregue nas mãos dos pecadores...

46 Levantai-vos, vamos! Aquele que me trai está perto daqui.

47 Jesus ainda falava, quando veio Judas, um dos Doze, e com ele uma multidão de gente armada de espadas e cacetes, enviada pelos príncipes dos sacerdotes e pelos anciãos do povo.

49 Aproximou-se imediatamente de Jesus e disse: Salve, Mestre. E beijou-o.

50 Disse-lhe Jesus: É, então, para isso que vens aqui? Em seguida, adiantaram-se eles e lançaram mão em Jesus para prendê-lo.

52 Jesus, no entanto, lhe disse: Embainha tua espada, porque todos aqueles que usarem da espada, pela espada morrerão.

53 Crês tu que não posso invocar meu Pai e ele não me enviaria imediatamente mais de doze legiões de anjos?

54 Mas como se cumpririam então as Escrituras, segundo as quais é preciso que seja assim?
55 Tʋtɔ nɩɩ Yesu taasɛ sakyɔ mʋ yɛ, “Fan taa isakunde yɛ agulungu fan ba kɩtaa mɛ fɛɛ ɔsa mʋ nɩɩ ɛɛ kʋsʋ yɩlɛ kɩbanɛ sʋ. Kakɛ kʋmaa n kyɩna kabwaarɛ‐sunkpa ayɛ tɔ n kaapʋ, fan man kɩtaa mɛ.
55 Depois, voltando-se para a turba, falou: Saístes armados de espadas e porretes para prender-me, como se eu fosse um malfeitor. Entretanto, todos os dias estava eu sentado entre vós ensinando no templo e não me prendestes.
56 Amaa ɩnɩmʋ kpini ɩ waa nɩn kɛ asɩn mʋ nɩɩ Ɩbwaarɛ atɔwɛpʋ ba kyʋrɔɔ yɩla mʋ ɩ nyɛ ba ɩmʋ tɔ.” Tʋtɔ nɩɩ mʋ abɩɩlapʋ mʋ kpini ba sɩlɛ yɛgɛ mʋ.
56 Mas tudo isto aconteceu porque era necessário que se cumprissem os oráculos dos profetas. Então os discípulos o abandonaram e fugiram.
57 Bamʋ nɩɩ ba kɩtaa Yesu mʋ ba taa mʋ kpee Kefasi, oseepu bɩlɩsa asɛ mʋ kɩkpaara sʋ, katɩn mʋ nɩɩ nbara akaapʋpʋ yɛ asa mʋ abɩlɩsa ba gyaŋɛ mʋ.
57 Os que haviam prendido Jesus levaram-no à casa do sumo sacerdote Caifás, onde estavam reunidos os escribas e os anciãos do povo.
58 Amaa Pita buu bamʋ kɩyaa‐kɩyaa, halɩɩ ba naa fʋʋ oseepu bɩlɩsa asɛ mʋ kɩkpaara sʋ. Nɩɩ Pita sii kyɩna kɩkpaara mʋ akɩɩsʋpʋ mʋ asɛ, kɛ o wu kanan mʋ nɩɩ ii biti ɩ naa lʋwɛ.
58 Pedro seguia-o de longe, até o pátio do sumo sacerdote. Entrou e sentou-se junto aos criados para ver como terminaria aquilo.
59 Aseepu bɩlɩsa yɛ Gyiwu abi abɩlɩsa amu‐amu ngyaŋɛ mʋ kpini ba tɔwɛ kɔnɔ waa Yesu bee biti antɩŋɛsa ba tɩn gyaga mʋ sʋ, kɛ ba nyɛ ɔkpa mɔɔ mʋ.
59 Enquanto isso, os príncipes dos sacerdotes e todo o conselho procuravam um falso testemunho contra Jesus, a fim de o levarem à morte.

60 Mas não o conseguiram, embora se apresentassem muitas falsas testemunhas.
61 “Ɔnyɩn nɩmʋ tɔwɛ yɛ, ‘N taalɛ boyi kabwaarɛ‐sunkpa ayɛ nɩmʋ, kɛ n taa nkɛ nsa bwii pɔyɩ kɩmʋ.’ ”
61 Por fim, apresentaram-se duas testemunhas, que disseram: Este homem disse: Posso destruir o templo de Deus e reedificá-lo em três dias.
62 Nɩɩ Oseepu bɩlɩsa asɛ mʋ kʋsʋ yɩlɛ nɩɩ ɔ taasɛ Yesu yɛ, “Fʋ mɛɛ yɛ fʋ lɛɛ kɔnɔ lɩɩ asɩn mʋ nɩɩ anyɩn nɩmʋ ba sʋ bɛɛ gyaga fʋ sʋ falɛ?”
62 Levantou-se o sumo sacerdote e lhe perguntou: Nada tens a responder ao que essa gente depõe contra ti?
63 Amaa Yesu man tɔwɛ sɛhn. Nɩɩ Oseepu bɩlɩsa asɛ mʋ bwii tɔwɛ mʋ yɛ, “N bɔ Ɩbwaarɛ mʋ nɩɩ ɔ tɛ kakpaa mʋ ntan yɛ tɔwɛ anɛ. Fʋ ɩ gyɛ Krisito, Ɩbwaarɛ mu‐bii mʋ?”
63 Jesus, no entanto, permanecia calado. Disse-lhe o sumo sacerdote: Por Deus vivo, conjuro-te que nos digas se és o Cristo, o Filho de Deus?

64 Jesus respondeu: Sim. Além disso, eu vos declaro que vereis doravante o Filho do Homem sentar-se à direita do Todo-poderoso, e voltar sobre as nuvens do céu.

65 A estas palavras, o sumo sacerdote rasgou suas vestes, exclamando: Que necessidade temos ainda de testemunhas? Acabastes de ouvir a blasfêmia!
66 Nɛnɛ nɩɩ fɛn fɛ kɩmʋ nfɛɛrɛ?”
66 Qual o vosso parecer? Eles responderam: Merece a morte!
67 Nɩɩ ba tʋʋ nkyɔlɛ waa mu ansi tɔ nɩɩ ba dayɩ mʋ, nɩɩ akʋ mɔɔ ba kpa mʋ ɩtan.
67 Cuspiram-lhe então na face, bateram-lhe com os punhos e deram-lhe tapas,
68 Nɩɩ ba tɔwɛ mʋ yɛ, “Krisito, nɩɩ fʋ gyɛ Ɩbwaarɛ ɔtɔwɛpʋ mʋ, bɩɩ tɔwɛ anɛ, ɔsa mʋ nɩɩ ɔ da fʋ falɛ?”

69 Enquanto isso, Pedro estava sentado no pátio. Aproximou-se dele uma das servas, dizendo: Também tu estavas com Jesus, o Galileu.

74 Pedro então começou a fazer imprecações, jurando que nem sequer conhecia tal homem. E, neste momento, cantou o galo.

75 Pedro recordou-se do que Jesus lhe dissera: Antes que o galo cante, negar-me-ás três vezes. E saindo, chorou amargamente.
