¹ And David and the army commanders separated to the service those of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who [were] prophets with lyres and with cymbals. And the number of the workmen according to their service was:

² of the sons of Asaph, Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons under the hands of Asaph, who prophesied according to the order of the king.

² Dos filhos de Asaf: Zacur, José, Natania e Asarela, filhos de Asaf, sob a direção de Asaf, que profetizava segundo as ordens do rei.

³ Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, [and Shimei], six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the lyre to give thanks and to praise the LORD.

³ De Iditum: os filhos de Iditum: Godolias, Sori, Jeseías, Hasabias, Matatias, e Semei, seis, sob as ordens de seu pai Iditum, que profetizava com a cítara para cantar e louvar ao Senhor.

⁴ Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Josh-bekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.

⁴ De Hemã: os filhos de Hemã: Bociau, Mataniau, Oziel, Subuel, Jerimot, Ananias, Anani, Eliata, Gedelti, Romentiezer, Jesbacassa, Meloti, Otir e Maaziot;

⁵ All these [were] the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

⁵ eram todos filhos de Hamon, que era vidente do rei, para revelar as palavras de Deus e exaltar seu poder: Deus tinha dado a Hemã quatorze filhos e três filhas.

⁶ All these [were] under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, harps and lyres, for the service of the house of God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

⁶ Eis, portanto, os que, sob a direção de seus pais, estavam encarregados do canto no templo. Tinham címbalos, cítaras e harpas para o serviço do templo, sob as ordens de Davi, de Asaf, de Iditum e de Hemã.

⁷ So the number of them, with their brothers who [were] instructed in the songs of the LORD, all that [were] skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.

⁷ O número deles, juntamente com seus irmãos exercitados em cantar ao Senhor, todos hábeis em sua arte, atingia o número de duzentos e oitenta e oito.

⁸ And they cast lots, for duty, the small as well as the great, the teacher as the pupil.

⁹ And the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph; the second was to Gedaliah, with his brothers and sons, twelve;

⁹ A primeira sorte caiu por Asaf, a José; a segunda a Godolias com seus irmãos e seus filhos: doze;

¹⁰ the third [was] to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve men;

¹⁰ a terceira a Zacur com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;

¹¹ the fourth [was] to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹¹ a quarta a Isari com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;

¹² the fifth [was] to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁵ the eighth [was] to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁷ the tenth [was] to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

¹⁸ the eleventh [was] to Azareel, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁴ the seventeenth [was] to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁴ a décima sétima a Jesbacassa com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;

²⁵ the eighteenth [was] to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁵ a décima oitava a Anani com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;

²⁶ the nineteenth [was] to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁶ a décima nona a Meloti com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;

²⁷ the twentieth [was] to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁷ a vigésima a Eliata com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;

²⁸ the twenty-first [was] to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁸ a vigésima primeira a Otir com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;

²⁹ the twenty-second [was] to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

²⁹ a vigésima segunda a Gedelti com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;

³⁰ the twenty-third [was] to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

³⁰ a vigésima terceira a Maaziot com seus filhos e seus irmãos: doze;
