1 Ñàyùcàndùá, xiñuhu nacoo dahuun‑nda nsidaa ñà‑có‑ndiàá. Màsà dándáhvî stnahá gá‑ndà, ni màsà dánání uun‑nda nduu‑nda nèhivì vàha. Te màsà cúmbìdia stnahá stná ini‑ndà, ni màsà cáhàn quini ga‑ndà dìquì ñanìtnaha‑nda.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Na quidá méè tíquìn, yáha ga cudíì ini‑vè tèndodo, ducán xiñuhu quida stná‑ndà; xiñuhu cudiì cuáhà ini‑ndà sàhà palabra ìì xí‑yá, vàchi vàha ndisa; dandu nìhì‑ndà ndufuerté fe xi‑nda.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Te nú ndisa sànì cundaà vàha ini‑ndà mànì gá ini Stoho‑ndà Señor, dandu (vàtùni nìhìtáhvì‑ndà ducán).
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Te vichi nduú stná‑yà na iin yùù cahnú caquìhi sàhà nèhivì (cahíchì ini xì‑yá), te na ian nduá‑nè, vàchi cudúchí ini‑nè sàhà‑yá. Ñàyùcàndùá icúmí‑nê nìhì‑né (tnùndoho) nì chitnùní ini Dios cuu xi‑né, na ian caquìhi sàhà‑né, te nàcasàn‑né, vàchi có‑cùní‑nè cunini‑ne.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Doco ndohó, còó, vàchi sànì nacàxin‑yàndó, te vichi nduu‑nda dèhe (ndisa‑ya). Te nahi dùtù xínduu stná‑ndà, te xinúcuáchí‑ndá nùù rey xi‑nda, divi mii‑yá. Nèhivì ìì xí‑yá nduu‑nda vichi. Còò cá ana nduú Stoho‑ndà, cuisi mii‑yá. Pues sàhà nsidaájàn vàtùni dacuítià‑ndà palabra sàhà ñà‑ndiaha guá‑yà, vàchi sànì tavà‑yándô nùù ichì ñáa, te nì cana‑yàndó cunchicùn‑ndà ichì ndé datnúù ndiaha‑yá ini‑ndà.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Te mii‑nsiá, mate còò tnùñuhu ndiaha xí raza‑nsià antes, doco vichi sànì sàà stná‑nsià cunduu‑nsia nèhivì xí‑yá. Te mate còò stná ni‑iin ana nì ìndéhe ndahví xì‑nsiá antes, doco vichi (ndiaha gá) sànì indehè ndàhví‑yànsià.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Cuàhà gá cuú ínì sàhà‑nsiá, te sàhájàn cachíˋ xì‑nsiá ñà‑màdì ñuhìví yohó nduú ñuu‑ndà vichi. Ñàyùcàndùá sacúndáhvîˋ nùù‑nsiá ñà‑màsà xího gá‑nsià ñà‑ndùú gustu quini iá ñuhìví yohó, vàchi sadíàmà nùù ñà‑vàha xi anima‑ndà.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ndoó‑nsiá mahì nèhivì có‑ìnáhá xí Dios, te ñàyùcàndùá xiñuhu quida viì‑nsiá. Ñà‑ndáà nduá, xítnùhu‑ne mii‑nsiá vichi; quini quidá‑nsiá, cachí‑nè, doco nú sànì xini‑nè obra vàha quidá‑nsiá, dandu quìvì quixi (Dios ndàcàn‑yà cuenta sàhà cuàchi nèhivì), dandu icúmí‑nê sàà‑nè ndanihi vàha‑neyà.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Te divi ducán cuní stná Dios, cuní‑yà quida viì‑ndà, dandu mate xítnùhu nècuàchì có‑cùndáà inì‑xi ndohó, doco icúmí‑nê sàà‑nè (nducahan‑ne), mà cáchí gà‑nè ni‑iñàha.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Libre iá‑ndà, (ñà‑ndáà nduá), ñàyùcàndùá xiñuhu quida viì‑ndà nacua ndiá ìcà quida nècuàchì libre. Doco mà váha cachi‑ndà vàtùni quida ndevàha‑nda sàhà‑ñá iá‑ndà libre. Còó, vàchi iá stná iin Stoho‑ndà dandacu‑xi nùù‑ndà, divi Dios.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Te xiñuhu cahvi váha‑ndayá, te quidañuhu stná‑ndà nsidanicuú nèhivì. Ni cúcúú stná ini‑ndà sàhà nsidaa ana nduú stná dèhe ndisa‑ya. Te nècuàchì dandacu‑xi nùù‑ndà, ni coó stná tnùñuhu xi‑nda nùù‑né.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Mii‑nsiá nècuàchì peón xíndoo saín nùù iin lamú, cunini viì‑nsiá ñà‑ndùá dandacú nècuàchìmà, mate dana‑ne. Màdìá cuisì cahvi‑nsiánè nú mànì ini‑nè.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Vihini icúmí‑ndá ndoho‑nda sàhà‑ñá nchícùn‑ndà ñà‑ndùá cachí Dios, mate còò ni‑iñàha iníhícá‑ndá. Doco vàtùni iámà, te xiñuhu quidandee ini‑ndà sàhá.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Vàchi nú cuisì sàhà cuàchi‑nda ndoho‑nda, dandu mà níhì‑ndà ni‑iin ñà‑vàha nú quidándéé ini‑ndà sàhámà. Doco nú sàhà‑ñá quidá víi‑nda ni ndoho‑nda, te quidá ndéé ini‑ndà, dandísá, gracia xi Dios (icúmí‑ndá nìhì‑ndà).
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Pues, divi ñà‑jaàn nduú vida icúmí‑ndá yàha‑nda nú sànì cana‑yàndó, vàchi mii‑yá, nì ndoho stná‑yà, doco sàhà ndohó; te ducán vàtùni nì cundaà ini‑ndà nansa xiñuhu quidandee stná ini‑ndà nacua nì quida mii‑yá.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 (Te ¿nansa nì quida‑ya?) Pues còò ni‑iin cuàchi ni quidá‑yá, ni còò ni‑iin xichi ni dandahví‑yà nèhivì.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Mate ní canàhá nèhivì xì‑yá, doco mii‑yá, cónì cánàhá‑yà xì‑né. Na ní ndoho‑ya, cónì cáhàn dana‑ya. Còó, nùù ndahà Dios nì nacoo‑ya chuun xi‑ya, vàchi (ináhá‑yâ) tùha Dios nsidandaà‑yà ñà‑ndùú ñà‑ndácuisì.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Te (na ní sàcùtuu‑ya) nchìca cruz, nì nacuida‑ya cuàchi‑nda nùù iquìcúñú‑yà. Ñàyùcàndùá, vàtùni nìhì‑ndà (nacoo dahuun‑nda cuàchi‑nda), quida‑nda cuenta na ian sànì xìhì‑ndà, (te có‑ndùlócô gà‑ndà sàhá). Dandu sàhà obra xi‑ya mà, vàtùni nìhì stná‑ndà quida viì‑ndà ñuhìví yohó. Vàchi na ní sahnì cuìí‑teyá, dandu sàhájàn nduá nì nìhì‑ndà nì nduviì anima‑ndà.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Vàchi antes, nahi riì nì quecuaán nì sanduu‑nda, doco vichi sànì naxicocuíìn‑ndà nì nàcùndoo‑nda nùù Stoho‑ndà inúù xì anima‑ndà.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
