Te suni cúní Yaā Dios jeē cuu ró sútū cáhīyo ndoo cájejníñu nuū yā. 5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Chi súcuan cáhán tutu iī:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Te máá ró jeē cácandíje ró, chi yuū váha jeē cánuú téyɨ́ cúu ya nuū rō. Te nuū ñáyuu tu cácandíje chi tuú, chi sa cúndaā jeē cahán tutu iī:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Te suni cúndaā jnūhun jeē cahán tutu sɨquɨ̄ ñayuu tu cácandíje:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Te máá ró cácuu ñayuu jeē ní nacāji Yaā Dios. Te suni cácuu ró sútū cájejníñu nuū maá Yaā cúu Rey, te ñayuu cáhīyo ndoo, jíín ñáyuu maá yá cácuu ró. 11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Chi cúní Yaā Dios jeē sáha ró jniñu váha, te jeē súcuan sáha ró te tāca ñáyuu canéé jéē tu cájecūhun ni, casɨ i yuhu i.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;

16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Coo respeto rō nuū tāca ñáyuu. Cundáhú ni rō hermano cácandíje. Conso īyo ró núū Yaā Dios. Coo yɨ́ñúhún ró nuū maá rey.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Róhó jéē cácuu mozo, cuatáhú ró nuū patrón rō, te coo respeto rō nuū de. Te nasūu máá‑ni nuū tée vāha ni jiín tée vītá ni, chi suni nuū tée xeēn ni.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Chi ɨɨn jeē váha cúu núu jéndeyɨ́ ni ɨɨn tēe jeē stóho cāha ñáyuu de sɨquɨ̄ jeē squícu de nuū Yaā Dios.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Chi núu cástóho i róhó jéē casáha ró cuéchi, te ni ɨɨn ma cuajnúhún róhó núu jéndeyɨ́ ni rō jiín jeē ndóho ró. Te núu cástóho i róhó jéē casáha ró jniñu váha, te núu jéndeyɨ́ ni rō jiín, yāha cúu jeē váha jeē nújnahan ni Yaā Dios.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Te máá yá tú cuɨtɨ na cuēchi ní sáha ya, ni tú cuɨtɨ na jnūhun stáhú ní cáhán yā.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ná ni cacahān neé i nuū yā, te tu ní nácahān neé yá. Te ná ni castóho i ya, te tu ní téjnáhan ya jiín i, chi sa ni chihi ya maá yá ndaha Yaā Dios, Yaā sándaā vāha sɨquɨ̄ ndɨhɨ ún.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Te ni condiso máá Cristo cuēchi yó jíín yɨquɨ cúñu yā ná ni jihī yā jicā cruz, návāha quenda yó chíji cuēchi te caca ndaā yō. Chi ni tujī yā, te jeē yúcuan ní canduvāha ánuá rō.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Chi ni casana ró nájnūhun lanchi, te vijna je ni candicó ró ni ndɨ̄vɨcoo ró núū Cristo, Yaā cúu pastor rō te ndíto vāha ya anuá rō.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
