4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Shɨnɨɨsho she ɨmaandɨ abhantanda abhafinjile bhe bhakhamʉsʉbhɨlaga ʉMʉlʉngʉ na kʉmwɨtɨkha, bhakhayɨbhɨngʉlanyaaga kʉ njendo inyinza ɨzya kutinikha abhalʉme bhaabho.
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

Pe shɨnɨɨsho, mʉbhombaje shiniishi, ɨnga impuuto zyinyu zitakhadindilwe.
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Ɨnkʉmalɨɨlɨzya kʉbhabhʉʉzya mwenti kʉtɨ, mʉbhanje nʉ mwoyo weeka nɨ nsɨɨbho yeeka mwenti, khabhɨlɨ mʉlolelanaje ishisa na kwavwana. Mʉgananaje mʉ wʉnholo, mʉbhanje mwe bhatonsu nu wutimvu.

9 Mʉtatabhʉlɨzyaje kʉbhomba uwubhiibhi kʉ bhe bhakʉbhabhombela imbiibhi, awe indigo ku ndigo, lyoli mʉbhabhombelaje inyinza. Shɨnɨɨsho she ʉMʉlʉngʉ akwanza mʉbhombaje, ɨnga abhasaye ɨmwe.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Ziniizi zɨlɨ anza she uWusimbe uWufinjile wʉkʉlonga kʉtɨ,
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Akwanzɨwa aleshe kʉbhomba imbiibhi,
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Shɨnɨɨsho she zɨlɨ kʉnongwa ye ʉMwene akʉbhenyeelezya
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Wu naanu we angabhabhomba akhabhiibhi ɨnga mʉkʉyɨkʉngʉla kʉbhomba inyinza?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Ɨleelo poope ɨnga mʉkʉyɨmba kʉnongwa ɨya kʉbhomba ɨzya wugolosu, ʉMʉlʉngʉ atɨbhasaye. Pe shɨnɨɨsho, mʉtatʉʉyaje kwogofwa kwabho awe kʉswɨmɨɨlɨla.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!

15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Ɨnkʉlonga shɨnɨɨsho kʉnongwa ye ɨnga ʉMʉlʉngʉ akwanza ʉyɨmbe, pe kwashi ʉyɨmbe kʉnongwa ɨya kʉbhomba inyinza na kʉtɨ ʉyɨmbe kʉnongwa ɨya kʉbhomba imbiibhi.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Woope uKilisiti áyimbile, akhafwa kheeka kheene kʉnongwa yi mbiibhi zyɨtʉ, kwe kʉtɨ umugolosu áfuuye kʉnongwa ya bhe te bhagolosu, ɨnga atʉkhomaanye nʉ Mʉlʉngʉ. Bhakhamʉgoga we alɨ nʉ mʉbhɨlɨ ʉwa muntu, ɨleelo kʉ makha ga Mupepu uMufinjile akhazyʉkha.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 Ganaago aminzi shɨkholanyo sha lwozyo lwinyu ulwi nsiku ɨzya khabhalɨlo ɨkha. Kʉnongwa ye we mʉkwozelwa yɨkʉlolesya kʉtɨ ʉMʉlʉngʉ abhaposhile kʉ makha aga kʉzyʉkha kwa Yeesu Kilisiti. Pe shɨnɨɨsho, ʉlwozyo te kʉ kʉgeeza kwefwa intavu ɨzya mʉbhɨlɨ, lyoli ku kuyifumwa kwa Mʉlʉngʉ kʉ mwoyo wonti.
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Wʉnʉʉyo uKilisiti abhalile kʉmwanya, ishi ayɨkhaaye ɨnyoobhe ɨya kʉndɨɨlo ɨya Mʉlʉngʉ, apa lushindikho ʉlʉpɨtɨ nhaani. Akʉtabhaala abhakhabhɨzya, ɨvɨpelwa ɨvwa waamʉlo na makha.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
