2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;
3 ꞌMɔ̰nəi kɨ̀ né-je kɨ́ rɔ-si-tɨ ndaa-tɨ nè kɨ́ to dɔ kɨ́ kuwə-je, kɨ̀ ꞌningə́ lɔr-je, kɨ̀ kubɨ-je kɨ́ là-é n̰a̰-n̰a̰ kin al,
3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 ngà ꞌmɔ̰nəi kɨ̀ né-je kɨ́ ɓɔyɔ rɔ-é mḛḛ-si-tɨ, kɨ́ to né-je kɨ́ à tujɨ al, kɨ́ to panjiyə kɨ́ sɔl lɔm-lɔm rəm, kisɨ selele rəm; né-je kinlé ɓá, to né-je kɨ́ gatɨ-é n̰a̰ takəm Lubə-tɨ.
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Gangɨ-é kin ɓá dené-je kɨ́ ndɔkɨ ꞌto dené-je kɨ́ dꞌaa njay, kɨ́ ꞌto njékində mḛḛ-dé dɔ Lubə-tɨ ꞌmɔ̰ne-né ə dꞌulə-né dɔ-dé gin tɔ́gɨ-tɨ lə ngɔbɨ-dé-je;
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 titɨ Sara kɨ́ təl rɔ-é go ta-tɨ lə Abrakam adɨ ɓa-é: ꞌƁa-m kin bè. Kinə adi ɓəl gangɨ mḛḛ-si al, adɨ ꞌrai majɨ kɨ̀ mḛḛ-si kɨ́ nda ka̰y rəmə, ꞌtoi nganka Sara tɔ.
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.
7 Sə̰i dingəm-je kàrè, isi kɨ̀ ne-si-je ə ꞌgəi kɨ́ dḛ ꞌto dow-je kɨ́ tɔ́gɨ-dé asɨ al n̰a̰. Uni ta-dé kdɔ dḛ kàrè dꞌingə kajɨ kɨ̀ takul ramajɨ lə Lubə natɨ sə-si tɔ; ꞌrai bè kdɔ kadɨ né madɨ ilə-si kagɨ lo pa ta-tɨ kɨ̀ Lubə al.
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Kɨ́ kadɨ mꞌtɔl-né ta ta kin rəmə, sə̰i lay ya kadɨ ɔwi kɨ̀ tagɨr kɨ́ káre-rè rəm, adi mḛḛ-si asɨ-na̰ rəm. ꞌNdigi-na̰ titɨ kɨ́ tuwə kadɨ ngankɔ̰-na̰-je ꞌndigɨ-né-na̰, adi ta ɔ̰̀ mḛḛ-si kdɔ ta lə-na̰ ə ꞌsɔli dɔ-si nɔ̰̀-na̰-tɨ.

9 Dow ra sə-si né kɨ́ majɨ al kàrè, ꞌrai siə né kɨ́ majɨ al tó-tɨ al rəm, ɓá lé dow tajɨ-si kàrè ꞌtaji-é dɔ-si-tɨ al rəm; ngà ꞌtɔri ndi-si dɔ-é-tɨ; kdɔtalə né kin ɓá to né kɨ́ Lubə ɓa-si kadɨ ꞌrai kdɔ kadɨ ingəi-né tɔrndi tɔ.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Dow kɨ́ ndigɨ kadɨ nꞌisɨ kɨ̀ dɔ-nꞌḛ̀ taá
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 kadɨ ɔr rɔ-é kɔgɨ mḛḛ néra-tɨ kɨ́ majɨ al ə ra majɨ,
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Kdɔtalə ꞌƁaɓe ində kəm-é go dow-je-tɨ kɨ́ njéra né kɨ́ njururu
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Kinə indəi rɔ-si ta ra né-tɨ kɨ́ majɨ lé, ná̰ à ra-si majɨ al wa?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Ə kinə ingəi kɔ̰̀ kdɔtalə néra kɨ́ njururu rəmə, sə̰i ꞌtoi njénékumə̰-je! Njéra né-je kɨ́ majɨ al lé, ꞌɓəli-dé al rəm, adi mḛḛ-si gangɨ man al rəm.
15 Ngà Kristɨ kɨ́ to ꞌƁaɓe lé, kadɨ ꞌgəi mḛḛ-si-tɨ kɨ́ ḛ aa njay ə isi pèrèrè kɨ̀ ndɔ-je lay, kdɔ kadɨ kinə dow ndur gin kində mḛḛ dɔ-tɨ lə-si rəmə idəi-é; ngà kidə ɓá idəi-é kɨ̀ ta kɨ́ sɔl lɔm-lɔm rəm, kɨ̀ kujɨ kɨ́ kilə rəm.
16 Adi tagɨr kɨ́ majɨ tò mḛḛ-si-tɨ, kdɔ kadɨ lé dꞌilə ta dɔ-si-tɨ kàrè, dḛ njépata kɨ́ majɨ al dɔ panjiyə-si-tɨ kɨ́ majɨ kɨ́ to panjiyə Kristɨ lé, rɔ-dé sɔl-dé.
17 Kdɔtalə kingə kɔ̰̀ kdɔ néra kɨ́ majɨ lé, kinə to ndigɨ lə Lubə rəmə, to sotɨ itə kingə kɔ̰̀ kdɔ né ra kɨ́ majɨ al.
18 Kdɔtalə Kristɨ kɨ̀ dɔ-é oy nja káre-rè kdɔ majal-je;
20 Dḛ ɓá ndɔkɨ ꞌra dɔnga̰, ya ngà Lubə ilə mḛḛ-é dɔ madɨ-é-tɨ kɨ kete-kete mḛḛ ndɔ-je-tɨ kɨ́ Nuwe isɨ ra-né bato lé. Bato kinlé dow-je kɨ́ dꞌisɨ mḛḛ-é-tɨ dꞌajɨ rɔ-dé ta man-tɨ lé, dḛ jinà̰y joo-rè ya par ɓɨ ꞌn̰a̰ al.
22 Jeju Kristɨ lé, ɔw dɔra̰-tɨ, isɨ dɔ jikɔl Lubə-tɨ; adɨ ḛ ɓá malayka-je, kɨ̀ njékɔ̰ɓe-je, kɨ̀ njétɔ́gɨ-je dꞌulə dɔ-dé gin tɔ́gɨ-tɨ liə.
