3 Kǝl hya mǝl abangau, ta a ɗar hyi abǝr Thlagǝ Yesu mǝnahǝ nga ja.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Arya tsǝtsǝfǝ nga nyi wu ndǝr Hyal abǝr,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Agabangau, anǝ hyi nahyi njira hǝnggǝri, tsǝka kau wu shili ǝnga dlǝvau anǝ hyi, ama anǝ njira nggǝl ara hǝnggǝri ǝnga ja, ǝnggǝr kǝra tsǝtsǝfau wu ndǝr Hyal, abǝr,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ənga tsǝtsǝfǝ nga nyi tsu,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ama nahyi njira Hyal ɗǝmbiya ngau, nahyi njira Hyal ɗǝmbiya aga hya ɗa pubu nǝ tǝlkur nyi, nahyi nji kǝra Hyal fiya aga dlǝvǝ nyi, nji gǝ Hyal nga hyi, aga hya nar nyi anǝ alenji sǝ mǝnahǝu kǝra ji mǝliya hyi, naja ndǝra hǝbiya hyi sara wu kuthlǝu a shili wu mbǝmbǝl dǝdǝgur nyi.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ɗǝɗǝmǝu, aˈyi hyi nji gǝ Hyal mai, ama kabangǝkau, a ɗar hyi nji nyi ara hyi hǝnggǝri ǝnga ja. Ɗǝɗǝmǝu, nahyi aˈyi uya tǝhuɗǝ Hyal mai, ama kabangǝkau a ɗar hyi njira uya tǝhuɗǝ nyi.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.

11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Bǝgǝ nggyabiyar hyi wu pama njira aˈyi wu sǝn Hyal mai, a ɗa mǝnahǝu, alaga ma ndǝ na nahyi njir mǝl sǝ ɗǝmwaˈyu, ndu sǝn lari sǝr mǝla hyi kǝra mǝnahǝu, ba nda dlǝvǝ Hyalǝr hyi ar pǝcir shili nyi.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Hya lǝr kǝrhyi lagur mǝl thlǝr ǝnga sǝra kalar njir sǝm tǝlkur kǝra nji ciya wu pama nji ar kǝra hyi wu na, alaga naja ngǝ tǝl dǝgalǝu. Hya mǝl abangǝ aga gǝnggǝri nyi sǝli anǝ Hyal.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Arya sǝra Hyal wu cim ngau, ya mǝl sǝra mǝnahǝu. Lagu kǝ nga hyu haɗiya miya njir ndǝr puyiu kǝra wu biya sara wu miya nji dza .
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Hya nggya ǝnggǝr njira wu kambǝkur kǝrnda, ama hya sara piyari kambǝkur kau, ja ɗa lagu kǝra hyu mǝl sǝ ɗǝmwaˈyi ngǝ mai, ama kǝl hya nggya ar viya mafa Hyal.

18 Nahyi mafaˈyar, hya lǝr kǝrhyi anǝ tarkir hyi ǝnga huɗǝ zǝmǝu, aˈyi njir mǝl sǝ mǝnahǝ anǝ hyi waci mai, ama ǝtsu hya mǝl sǝra mǝnahǝu anǝ njira wu mǝl sǝ didiɗi anǝ hyi.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Arya wu pina huɗa Hyal ma ndǝ wu sǝsǝˈu sa ɓwaɓwatǝ gǝra vazǝ nyi aˈyi aara naja nǝ Hyal.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ama mi ngǝ sǝr ɓwasǝr hyi ma nji dǝgǝ hyi arya sǝr mǝla hyi kǝra didiɗa? Ama ma arya mǝl sǝ mǝnahǝ nga nji dǝgǝ hyi kakal nga nyi wu mwar Hyal.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Arya Hyal ngga hyi aga hya lar ɓwaɓwatǝ ǝnggǝr kau, arya Kǝrsiti ma a sar ja ɓwaɓwatǝu anǝ hyi aga ja cabiya hyi abǝr nahyi tsu wu nda lar ɓwaɓwatǝu.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “Naja aˈyi saya mǝliya bikǝ mai,
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ənggǝra ndǝ nggǝnggǝl nyi naji shabiya nda ǝnga nggǝl mai. Ənggǝra ji sa ɓwaɓwatǝu, naja aˈyi pahǝna miya nǝ gǝrah nda nǝ kibiya mai. Ama ba ji lǝr kǝrnyi anǝ Hyal ndǝra wu mǝl numa nǝ jijiri.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Naja ǝnga kǝrnyi ngǝ hǝr bikǝr mǝn wu dza ja a dar wu dladlakau aga mǝna shabiya nyi yi anǝ bikau ba mǝna ɗa njir mǝl sǝra tsatsaˈa. Lagur takasǝ kǝra nji takasǝ nyi ta nga mǝn uya shilgǝbiya dzau.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Kadivira hyi ɗa njir nu Kǝrsiti, ǝnggǝr tǝmahǝu sasa nga hyi, ama kabangǝkǝ kǝ hya njir nu nyi a shar hya shili ǝgya ja ndǝr ɓǝla, ǝnga ndǝr tsam nggyabiyar hyi.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
