1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Me metzin kyeꞌ ma chi oka te jun tyajil skꞌoꞌnxix tuꞌn Dios, a Nmaq Kawil toj kyaꞌj, ex te pale tuꞌn tajbꞌin te, ex te jun chꞌuq xjal xjanxix, ex te jun tnam, a teku Dios, tuꞌntzintla t-xi kyqꞌmaꞌnjiꞌy a tbꞌanil t-xilin Dios, a xtxkon kyeꞌy tuꞌn kyetza tojjo tqxopinil il, tuꞌn kyokxa tojjo tspikyꞌemil te jun majx.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Quꞌn ojtxe, ntiꞌtaq kymujbꞌil kyibꞌa, me atzin jaꞌlin, ma chi oka te Ttanim Dios. Ex ojtxe, naꞌmtaq tuꞌn tyekꞌin te Dios tqꞌaqꞌbꞌil tkꞌuꞌj kyiꞌja, me atzin jaꞌlin ma tzaj qꞌaqꞌin tkꞌuꞌj kyiꞌja.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.

11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Kyqꞌonxsiꞌn nimbꞌil te tkyaqil. Kꞌuꞌjlinqekjiꞌy jniꞌ nimil. Tenxit tchewil Dios kyiꞌja. Ex kyniminkujiꞌy nmaq kawil.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ayiꞌy aqꞌnil, kyniminkutzinjiꞌy tajaw aqꞌuntl, nya noq oꞌkxjo kye wenqe kyeꞌy, ex tbꞌanilqex toj kywutza, qalaꞌ ikyxjo kye, a kujqe.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Quꞌn wenxix teꞌ twutz Dios, qa ma tzikyꞌx yajbꞌil kyuꞌn, a nya toj tumil, noq tuꞌn nimilqiꞌy tiꞌj Dios.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Me qatzin qa ma kubꞌ kybꞌinchinjiꞌy nya wen, exsin qa ma chi ok laqtziꞌn tuꞌn tpajjo lo, ¿Ma okpela chi ela wena twutz Dios tuꞌn tikyꞌx kyuꞌn? Me qa chebꞌe nkubꞌ kypaꞌnjiꞌy yajbꞌil, noq tuꞌn kybꞌinchinjiꞌy wen, axixpente wenjo twutz qMan Dios.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Quꞌn tuꞌnpetziꞌn, ma qo tzaj ttxkoꞌn Dios tuꞌn tikyꞌx quꞌn, tzeꞌnku te Crist nim ma tzikyꞌx tuꞌn, noq tuꞌn qpaj; ex tuꞌnjo lo, ma tzaj tqꞌoꞌn jun yekꞌbꞌil qe.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Quꞌn ntiꞌx jun til kubꞌ tbꞌinchin, ex mix jun maj kubꞌ tsbꞌuꞌn jun aꞌla.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ex tej s-ok yisoꞌn, ex mi s-aj ttzaqꞌwin tukꞌa yasbꞌil; ex tej s-ikyꞌx jniꞌ yajbꞌil tuꞌn, mi xqanbꞌin kyiꞌjxjal; qalaꞌ noq xi toqxenin tibꞌ te Dios, a Kawil tzꞌaqle tibꞌaj tkyaqil.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Ate Crist xi iqin teꞌ jniꞌ qil tuꞌnjo t-xmilil, tej tkyim twutz cruz, tuꞌntzintla qkyimqe tiꞌj tkyaqiljo il, ex tuꞌn qanqꞌin toj jun chwinqil tzꞌaqle. Quꞌn tuꞌn tkyꞌixjlbꞌin, ex tuꞌn tkyimlin twutz cruz, ma qo qꞌanit.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.

25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
