1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Haia, si fou naa e diana asianaa fuagamu na mu manata mamana. Haia, ma fuana tei gera na e langi dasi manata mamana ana, da faamamana ta Kekedelaa Aabu baa e haea, <<Na fou baa na tooa da tole luma da oote gera ana, nia naa na tofungae fou diana na e faangado ana luma.>>
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ma ta Kekedelaa Aabu lau ka bae urii, <<Ma si fou naa tara ka aadea tooa gi gera ka taafai gera, na fou na tara ka faaꞌasi gera.>> Gera ka taafai gera sulia e langi dasi manata mamana ana baelana a God, ma nia naa na kwaidooria a God fuada.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Haia, ma ni gamu mone naa na tooa a God e aadafilida gi. Gamu naa na fataabu na Aaofia gi. Ma gamu naa na tooa aabu a God gi. Nia e aadafili gamu uria ainitalolaa ana raoa diana nia gi. Ma nia ka soe gamu faasia na rorodoa uria i laona na raralaa diana nia.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ana si kada sui na mai, gamu langi lau na tooa a God. Haia, ma ana si kada nae, gamu na tooa nia gi. Ma ana si kada e sui na mai, langi musi haitamana na kwaifaamanatailaa a God, ma ana si kada nae, muka ngalia naa na kwaifaamanatailaa nia.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Haia, oote ruana nau gi, si kada gamu too ua lao molaagali, mu iilingia tooa na da too i laona ta fera na e langi lau na fera gera. Sulia na fera mamana gamu, e nia i langi. Ma sulia na doo nae, nau ku gani gamu, muka aabulo faasia na doo taꞌa gi na noni gamu da dooria. Sulia na kwaidooria taꞌa nae gi na da firu fai nia na mango gamu.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Na toolaa gamu gi ka diana teefou, eeri si kada na tooa uugita da feengi gamu ana aade taꞌalaa, tara gera ka rikia na raoa diana gamu gi, ma gera ka baelafea a God ana fe Dani nia ka dao mai ana.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Sulia a God e dooria muka aadea na doo diana gi eeri muka faabonaa na baelaa tatagwai gera tooa ooewanea gi .
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Muka too iilingia tooa da too sulitalaa. Sui langi musi manata hasa nia bobola muka aade taꞌa sulia mu too sulitalaa. Muka too iilingia tooa baa da rao oꞌoni fuana a God.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Muka manata baita ana tooa gi sui, ma muka rakediana fuana na tooa gi na da manata mamana, ma muka fooasia a God, ma muka manata baita ana na aaofia baita i Rom.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Gamu tooa raoa gi, muka roosulia na baelana na tooa baita gamu gi, ma muka faabaitada. Muka iili urinae fuana tooa baita gi sui usi gamu, langi lau fuana tei gera go ana na da iilia diana fuagamu, ma fuana tei gera laugo na gera aade taꞌa fuagamu.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Sulia a God tara ka faadiana gamu lea so gamu ka daotoona nonifiilaa sulia muka iilia na kwaidoorilaa nia, ma langi lau sulia molu iilia tesi doo taꞌa.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Kwaiaraa taa na tara muka ngalia, lea so gera rabusi gamu uria taa na mu iilia ka taꞌa? Langi! Sui lea so muka nonifii, boroi ana mu iilia taa na e oꞌolo, a God tara ka faadiana gamu uria.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ma si doo naa baa a God e soe gamu uria. Sulia a Christ ana i talana na e nonifii eeri ka faamouri gamu, ma urinae nia ka aalua na mamalafooa fuagamu eeri muka haitamana nonifiilaa laugo.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 A Jesus e langi kasi iilia tesi doo na e taꞌa, ma nia kasi haea tesi doo susuge.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ma si kada gera bae tataga ana, nia langi kasi oolisida ana tesi baelaa tataga. Ma si kada nia e nonifii, nia langi kasi faamouda go ana tesi baelaa. I nia e fiitoo go ana ana a God, na wane na e keketo ana oꞌololaa.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Ma a Christ i talana ka ngalia na aade taꞌalaa gia gi ana nonina i fafona airarafolo, eeri gia ka tafusia na aade taꞌalaa gia gi ma gia ka too ana malutaa oꞌolo. Ma ana na nonifiilaa nia, nia ka faamouri gia.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Haia, ana si kada e sui na mai, gamu mu iilingia na sipsip na da lea garo faasia na tala. Sui ana si kada nae, a Christ e oolifai gamu eeri muka lea suli nia, na wane aadasulia na mango gamu, iilingia ta wane baa ka aadasulia na sipsip nia gi.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
