1 Of David. Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
1 De Davi. Para vós, Senhor, elevo a minha alma.
2 O my God, in thee do I trust, let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.
2 Meu Deus, em vós confio: não seja eu decepcionado! Não escarneçam de mim meus inimigos!
3 Yea, none that wait on thee will be put to shame: let those be put to shame who deal treacherously without cause.
3 Não, nenhum daqueles que esperam em vós será confundido, mas os pérfidos serão cobertos de vergonha.
4 Show me, O Lord, thy ways; teach me thy paths.
4 Senhor, mostrai-me os vossos caminhos, e ensinai-me as vossas veredas.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation: on thee do I wait all the day.
5 Dirigi-me na vossa verdade e ensinai-me, porque sois o Deus de minha salvação e em vós eu espero sempre.
6 Remember thy mercies, O Lord, and thy kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.
6 Lembrai-vos, Senhor, de vossas misericórdias e de vossas bondades, que são eternas.
7 The sins of my youth and my transgressions do not remember: according to thy kindness bear thou me in remembrance, for the sake of thy goodness, O Lord.
7 Não vos lembreis dos pecados de minha juventude e dos meus delitos; em nome de vossa misericórdia, lembrai-vos de mim, por causa de vossa bondade, Senhor.
8 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore he pointeth out to sinners the right way.
8 O Senhor é bom e reto, por isso reconduz os extraviados ao caminho reto.
9 He guideth the meek in justice, and he teacheth the meek his way.
9 Dirige os humildes na justiça, e lhes ensina a sua via.
10 All the paths of the Lord are kindness and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
10 Todos os caminhos do Senhor são graça e fidelidade, para aqueles que guardam sua aliança e seus preceitos.
11 For the sake of thy name, O Lord, pardon my iniquity: although it is great.
11 Por amor de vosso nome, Senhor, perdoai meu pecado, por maior que seja.
12 Who is that man that feareth the Lord? to him will he point out the way which he is to choose?
12 Que advém ao homem que teme o Senhor? Deus lhe ensina o caminho que deve escolher.
13 His soul shall abide in happiness: and his seed shall inherit the land.
13 Viverá na felicidade, e sua posteridade possuirá a terra.
14 The secret counsel of the Lord is for those that fear him, and his covenantto make it known to them.
14 O Senhor se torna íntimo dos que o temem, e lhes manifesta a sua aliança.
15 My eyes are ever directed toward the Lord; for he will draw out of the net my feet.
15 Meus olhos estão sempre fixos no Senhor, porque ele livrará do laço os meus pés.
16 Turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
16 Olhai-me e tende piedade de mim, porque estou só e na miséria.
17 The distresses of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my afflictions.
17 Aliviai as angústias do meu coração, e livrai-me das aflições.
18 Look on my misery and my trouble; and forgive all my sins.
18 Vede minha miséria e meu sofrimento, e perdoai-me todas as faltas.
19 Look at my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with the hatred of violence.
19 Vede meus inimigos, são muitos, e com ódio implacável me perseguem.
20 Oh, guard my soul; and deliver me: let me not be put to shame; for I put my trust in thee.
20 Defendei minha alma e livrai-me; não seja confundido eu que em vós me acolhi.
21 Let integrity and uprightness guard me; for I wait on thee.
21 Protejam-me a inocência e a integridade, porque espero em vós, Senhor.
22 Redeem, O God, Israel out of all his distresses.
22 Ó Deus, livrai Israel de todas as suas angústias.
