1 I am the rose of Sharon, the lily of the valleys.
1 Eu sou a rosa de Sarom, o lírio dos vales.
2 Like the lily among the thorns, so is my beloved among the young maidens.
2 Qual o lírio entre os espinhos, tal é meu amor entre as filhas.
3 Like the appletree among the trees of the forest, so is my friend among the young men: under his shadow do I ardently wish to sit, and his fruit is sweet to my palate.
3 Qual a macieira entre as árvores do bosque, tal é o meu amado entre os filhos;desejo muito a sua sombra, e debaixo dela me assento;e o seu fruto é doce ao meu paladar.
4 He brought me to the banquetinghouse, and his banner over me was love.
4 Levou-me à casa do banquete, e o seu estandarte sobre mim era o amor.
5 Strengthen me with flagons of wine, refresh me with apples; for sick of love am I.
5 Sustentai-me com passas, confortai-me com maçãs, porque desfaleço de amor.
6 Oh that his left hand might be under my head, and that his right might embrace me.
6 A sua mão esquerda esteja debaixo da minha cabeça, e a sua mão direita me abrace.
7 I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye awaken not, nor excite my love, till it please to come of itself.
7 Conjuro-vos, ó filhas de Jerusalém, pelas gazelas e cervas do campo, que não acordeis nem desperteis o meu amor, até que queira.
8 The voice of my friend! behold, there he cometh, leaping over the mountains, skipping over the hills.
8 Esta é a voz do meu amado; ei-lo aí, que já vem saltando sobre os montes, pulando sobre os outeiros.
9 My friend is like a roebuck or the fawn of the hinds: behold, there he standeth behind our wall, looking in at the windows, seeing through the lattice.
9 O meu amado é semelhante ao gamo, ou ao filho do veado; eis que está detrás da nossa parede, olhando pelas janelas, espreitando pelas grades.
10 My friend commenced, and said unto me, Rise thee up, my beloved, my fair one, and come along.
10 O meu amado fala e me diz: Levanta-te, meu amor, formosa minha, e vem.
11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone its way.
11 Porque eis que passou o inverno; a chuva cessou, e se foi;
12 The flowers are seen in the land; the time of the birds singing is come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land;
12 Aparecem as flores na terra, o tempo de cantar chega, e a voz da rola ouve-se em nossa terra.
13 The figtree perfumeth its green figs, and the vines with young grapes give forth a pleasant smell. Arise thee, my beloved, my fair one, and come along.
13 A figueira já deu os seus figos verdes, e as vides em flor exalam o seu aroma; levanta-te, meu amor, formosa minha, e vem.
14 O my dove, who art in the clefts of the rock, in the recesses of the cliffs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for thy voice is sweet, and thy countenance is comely.
14 Pomba minha, que andas pelas fendas das penhas, no oculto das ladeiras, mostra-me a tua face, faze-me ouvir a tua voz, porque a tua voz é doce, e a tua face graciosa.
15 Seize for us the foxes, the little foxes, that injure the vineyards; for our vineyards have young grapes.
15 Apanhai-nos as raposas, as raposinhas, que fazem mal às vinhas, porque as nossas vinhas estão em flor.
16 My friend is mine, and I am histhat feedeth among the lilies.
16 O meu amado é meu, e eu sou dele; ele apascenta o seu rebanho entre os lírios.
17 Until the day become cool, and the shadows flee away, turn about, my friend, and be thou like the roebuck or the fawn of the hinds upon the mountains of separation.
17 Até que refresque o dia, e fujam as sombras, volta, amado meu; faze-te semelhante ao gamo ou ao filho dos veados sobre os montes de Beter.
