1 Then did all Israel gather themselves unto David unto Hebron, saying Behold, thy bone and thy flesh are we.
1 Então, todo o Israel se reuniu com Davi em Hebrom, dizendo: Eis que somos teus ossos e tua carne.
2 Already yesterday and even before, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that led out and brought in Israel; and the Lord, thy God, said unto thee, Thou shalt indeed feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be truly a chief over my people Israel.
2 E, além disso, em tempos passados, quando Saul foi rei sobre nós, tu eras aquele que fazias Israel sair e entrar; e o SENHOR teu Deus te disse: Tu pastorearás o meu povo Israel e tu serás soberano sobre Israel.
3 Thus came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the Lord; and they anointed David as king over Israel, according to the word of the Lord through means of Samuel.
3 Portanto, vieram todos os anciãos de Israel até o rei em Hebrom; e o rei Davi fez um pacto com eles em Hebrom diante do SENHOR; e eles ungiram Davi rei sobre Israel, de acordo com a palavra do SENHOR por Samuel.
4 And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; and there were the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land.
4 E Davi e todo o Israel foram até Jerusalém, a qual é Jebus; onde estavam os jebuseus, os habitantes da terra.
5 And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come in hither. Nevertheless David captured the strong–hold of Zion, the same is the City of David.
5 E os habitantes de Jebus disseram a Davi: Tu não virás para cá. Todavia, Davi tomou a fortaleza de Sião, que é a cidade de Davi.
6 And David said, Whosoever doth smite the Jebusites at first shall be head and chief. Then did Joab the son of Zeruyah go up at first, and became head–man.
6 E Davi disse: Qualquer que primeiro ferir os jebuseus será chefe e capitão. Assim, Joabe, o filho de Zeruia, subiu primeiro, e foi chefe.
7 And David dwelt in the castle: therefore they called it, "The City of David."
7 E Davi habitou na fortaleza; é por isso que a chamaram de cidade de Davi.
8 And he built the city round about, even from the Millo as far as the surrounding district, and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
8 E ele edificou a cidade ao redor, a saber, desde Milo até seus arredores; e Joabe restaurou o restante da cidade.
9 And David want on, and became greater and greater, and the lord of hosts was with him.
9 Assim, Davi se tornou cada vez maior; porque o SENHOR dos Exércitos estava com ele.
10 These also are the principals of the mighty men whom David had, who held firmly with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the Lord concerning Israel.
10 Estes também são os chefes dos homens valentes que Davi tinha, que se fortaleceram com ele no seu reino, e com todo o Israel, para fazê-lo rei, segundo a palavra do SENHOR acerca de Israel.
11 And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had: Jashoh’am, the son of Chachmoni, the chief of the captains, who lifted up his spear against three hundred slain at one time.
11 E este é o número dos homens valentes que Davi tinha: Jasobeão, um hacmonita, o chefe dos capitães; ele ergueu a sua lança contra trezentos, de uma só vez os matou.
12 And after him was El’asar the son of Dodo, the Achochite, who was one of the three mighty men.
12 E, depois dele estava Eleazar, o filho de Dodô, o aoíta, que era um dos três homens valentes.
13 He was with David at Pass–dammim, and the Philistines were gathered together there to battle, and there was a piece of ground full of barley; and the people had fled from before the Philistines.
13 Ele estava com Davi em Pas-Damim, e ali os filisteus estavam reunidos para a batalha, onde havia uma parte do campo cheio de cevada; e o povo fugiu de diante dos filisteus.
14 And they placed themselves in the midst of that piece of ground, and they delivered it, and smote the Philistines: and the Lord helped them with a great victory.
14 E eles se puseram no meio daquela parte, e o livraram, e mataram os filisteus; e o SENHOR os salvou com um grande livramento.
15 And these three, the chiefs of the thirty, went down to the rock to David, to the cave of ‘Adullam; and the camp of the Philistines was pitched in the valley of Rephaim.
15 Ora, três dos trinta capitães desceram até a rocha, a Davi, na caverna de Adulão; e o exército dos filisteus acampou no vale dos Refains.
16 And David was then in the strong–hold, and an outpost of the Philistines was then at Beth–lechem.
16 E Davi estava, então, no forte, e a guarnição dos filisteus estava, então, em Belém.
17 And David longed, and said, Oh that some one would bring me water to drink out of the well of Beth–lechem, which is by the gate!
17 E Davi desejou, e disse: Ah, se alguém me desse de beber das águas do poço de Belém, que fica junto ao portão!
18 And the three broke through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth–lechem, which was by the gate, and carried it, and brought it to David; but David would not drink thereof, and poured it out unto the Lord.
18 E os três irromperam pelo exército dos filisteus, e retiraram água do poço de Belém, que ficava junto ao portão, e a tomaram e a trouxeram até Davi; porém Davi não quis beber dela, mas derramou-a para o SENHOR,
19 And he said, Far be it from me, before my God, that I should do this: shall I drink the blood of these men that went at the risk of their lives? for at the risk of their lives did they bring it; and thus he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.
19 e disse: O meu Deus me proíba de fazer esta coisa; beberei eu o sangue destes homens que colocaram as suas vidas em risco? Porque com o risco das suas vidas eles a trouxeram; por isso ele não quis beber dela. Estas coisas fizeram estes três poderosos.
20 And Abshai the brother of Joab was the chief of these three; and he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain, and had a name among the three.
20 E Abisai, o irmão de Joabe, foi o chefe dos três; por erguer a sua lança contra trezentos, ele os matou, e teve nome entre os três.
21 Of the three, he was more honored than the two, wherefore he became their captain; he nevertheless attained not unto the three in prowess.
21 Dos três, ele foi mais ilustre do que os dois; porque ele foi o capitão deles; todavia não alcançou os três primeiros.
22 Banayah the son of Jehoyada’, the son of a valiant man, great in many acts, of Kah–zeel: he it was that smote the two lion–like heroes of Moab; he also went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit on a day when it snowed.
22 E Benaia, o filho de Joiada, o filho de um homem valente de Cabzeel, que havia feito muitos atos; ele matou dois homens de Moabe semelhantes a leões; também desceu e matou um leão em uma cova, em um dia com neve.
23 And he smote an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian’s hand was a spear like a weaver’s beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and he snatched the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.
23 E ele matou um egípcio, um homem de grande estatura, com cinco côvados de altura; e na mão do egípcio estava uma lança semelhante a um eixo de tecelão; e desceu até ele com uma vara, e arrancou a lança da mão do egípcio, e o matou com a sua própria lança.
24 These things did Benayah the son of Jehoyada’; and he had a name among the mighty men.
24 Estas coisas fez Benaia, o filho de Joiada, e teve nome entre os três homens valentes.
25 Behold, he was indeed more honored than the thirty; but he attained not to the first three. And David appointed him over his private council.
25 Eis que ele foi ilustre entre os trinta, mas todavia não alcançou os três primeiros; e Davi o pôs sobre a sua guarda.
26 And the mighty men of the armies were, ‘Assahel the brother of Joab, Elchanan the son of Dodo of Beth–lechem.
26 Além disso, os homens valentes dos exércitos foram: Asael, o irmão de Joabe; Elanã, o filho de Dodô, de Belém;
27 Shammoth the Harorite, Chelez the Pelonite,
27 Samote, o harodita; Heles, o pelonita;
28 ‘Ira the son of ‘Ikkesh the Theko’ite, Abi’ezer the ‘Antothite,
28 Ira, o filho de Iques, o tecoíta; Abiezer, o anatotita;
29 Sibbechai the Chushathite, ‘Ilai the Achochite,
29 Sibecai, o husatita; Ilai, o aoíta;
30 Maharai the Netophathite, Cheled the son of Ba’anah the Netophathite,
30 Maarai, o netofatita; Helede, o filho de Baaná, o netofatita;
31 Ithai the son of Ribai of Gib’ah, of the children of ‘Benjamin, Benayah the Pir’athonite.
31 Itai, o filho de Ribai, de Gibeá; que pertencia aos filhos de Benjamim, Benaia, o piratonita;
32 Churai of the Nachale–Ga’ash, Abiel the ‘Arbathite,
32 Hurai, dos ribeiros de Gaás; Abiel, o arbatita;
33 ‘Azmaveth the Bacharumite, Elyachba the Sha’albonite,
33 Azmavete, o baarumita; Eliaba, o saalbonita;
34 Bnai–hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite.
34 os filhos de Hasém, o gizonita: Jônatas, o filho de Sage, o hararita;
35 Achiam the son of Sachar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,
35 Aião, o filho de Sacar, o hararita; Elifal, o filho de Ur;
36 Chepher the Mecherathite, Achiyah the Pelonite.
36 Héfer, o mequeratita; Aías, o pelonita;
37 Chezro the Carmelite, Na’arai the son of Ezbai,
37 Hezro, o carmelita, Naarai, filho de Ezbai;
38 Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibchar the son of Hagri,
38 Joel, o irmão de Natã; Mibar, o filho de Hagri;
39 Zelek the ‘Ammonite, Nachrai the Berothite, the armor bearer of Joab the son of Zeruyah,
39 Zeleque, o amonita; Naarai, o berotita, o escudeiro de Joabe, o filho de Zeruia;
40 ‘Ira the Yithrite, Gareb the Yithrite,
40 Ira, o itrita; Garebe, o itrita;
41 Uriyah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Achlai,
41 Urias, o heteu; Zabade, o filho de Alai,
42 ‘Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and with him were thirty men.
42 Adina, o filho de Siza, o rubenita, um capitão dos rubenitas; e com ele trinta,
43 Chanan the son of Ma’achah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite.
43 Hanã, o filho de Maaca; e Josafá, o mitenita;
44 ‘Uzziya the ‘Ashterathite, Shama’ and Je’iel the sons of Chothan the ‘Aro’erite,
44 Uzias, o astaratita; Sama e Jeiel, os filhos de Hotão, o aroerita;
45 Jedi’ael the son of Shimri, and Jocha his brother, the Thizite,
45 Jediael, o filho de Sinri; e Joá, seu irmão, o tizita,
46 Eliel the Machavite, and Jerihal, and Joshavyah, the son of Elna’am, and Yithmah the Moabite,
46 Eliel, o maavita; e Jeribai, e Josavias, os filhos de Elnaão; e Itma, o moabita;
47 Eliel, and ‘Obed, and Ja’assiel the Mezobayite.
47 Eliel, o Obede, e Jaasiel, o mesobaíta.
