Mateus 25

The Lexham English Bible (LEB) vs VC

Sair da comparação
VC Versão Católica
1 “Then the kingdom of heaven may be compared to ten virgins who took their lamps
2 Now five of them were foolish and five
2 Cinco dentre elas eram tolas e cinco, prudentes.
3 For
4 But the wise ones took olive oil in flasks with their lamps.
5 And
5 Tardando o esposo, cochilaram todas e adormeceram.
6 But in the middle of the night there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 Then all those virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish ones said to the wise ones, ‘Give us
9 But the wise ones answered saying, “Certainly there will never be enough for us and for you! Go instead to those who sell
10 But
11 And later the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open
12 But he answered
13 Therefore be on the alert, because you do not know the day or the hour!
14 For
15 And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to each one according to his own ability, and he went on a journey immediately.
16 The one who had received the five talents went out
17 In the same way the one
18 But the one who had received the one went away
19 Now after a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled accounts with them.
20 And the one who had received the five talents came up
21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You were faithful over a few
22 And the one
23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You were faithful over a few
24 And the one who had received the one talent came up also
25 And
26 But his master answered
27 Then you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and
28 Therefore take the talent from him and give
28 Tirai-lhe este talento e dai-o ao que tem dez.
29 For to everyone who has,
30 And throw the worthless slave into the outer darkness—in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!’
31 Now when the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
32 And all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them from one another like a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
32 Todas as nações se reunirão diante dele e ele separará uns dos outros, como o pastor separa as ovelhas dos cabritos.
33 And he will place the sheep on his right and the goats on the left.
34 Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come,
35 For I was hungry and you gave me
35 for I hungered, and ye gave me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;
36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you cared for me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
36 naked, and ye clothed me; I was ill, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.
37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed
37 Then shall the righteous answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, and nourished thee; or thirsting, and gave thee to drink?
38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome
38 and when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in; or naked, and clothed thee?
39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’
39 and when saw we thee ill, or in prison, and came to thee?
40 And the king will answer
40 And the King answering shall say to them, Verily, I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me.
41 Then he will also say to those on
41 Then shall he say also to those on the left, Go from me, cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was hungry and you did not give me
42 for I hungered, and ye gave me not to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me not to drink;
43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not care for me.’
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye did not clothe me; ill, and in prison, and ye did not visit me.
44 Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and not serve you?’
44 Then shall *they* also answer saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or ill, or in prison, and have not ministered to thee?
45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly I say to you, in as much as you did not do
45 Then shall he answer them saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have not done it to one of these least, neither have ye done it to me.
46 And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
46 And these shall go away into eternal punishment, and the righteous into life eternal.
