1 O give thanks unto the LORD, call upon His name; make known His doings among the peoples.
1 Deem graças ao S enhor e proclamem seu nome; anunciem entre os povos o que ele tem feito.
2 Sing unto Him, sing praises unto Him; speak ye of all His marvellous works.
2 Cantem a ele, sim, cantem louvores a ele; falem a todos de suas maravilhas.
3 Glory ye in His holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
3 Exultem em seu santo nome, alegrem-se todos que buscam o S
4 Seek ye the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually.
4 Busquem o S enhor e sua força, busquem sua presença continuamente.
5 Remember His marvellous works that He hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth;
5 Lembrem-se das maravilhas que ele fez, dos milagres que realizou e dos juízos que pronunciou,
6 O ye seed of Abraham His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones.
6 vocês que são filhos de seu servo Abraão, descendentes de Jacó, seus escolhidos.
7 He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
7 Ele é o S enhor , nosso Deus; vemos sua justiça em toda a terra.
8 He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations;
8 Ele é fiel à sua aliança para sempre, ao compromisso que firmou com mil gerações.
9 The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac;
9 É a aliança que fez com Abraão, o juramento que fez a Isaque.
10 And He established it unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant;
10 Ele a confirmou a Jacó por decreto, ao povo de Israel como aliança sem fim:
11 Saying: 'Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.'
11 “Darei a vocês a terra de Canaã, como a porção de sua herança”.
12 When they were but a few men in number. Yea, very few, and sojourners in it,
12 Assim declarou quando eles ainda eram poucos, um punhado de estrangeiros em Canaã.
13 And when they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,
13 Vagaram de uma nação a outra, de um reino a outro.
14 He suffered no man to do them wrong, yea, for their sake He reproved kings:
14 E, no entanto, não permitiu que ninguém os oprimisse e, em seu favor, repreendeu reis:
15 'Touch not Mine anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.'
15 “Não toquem em meu povo escolhido, não façam mal a meus profetas”.
16 And He called a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.
16 Mandou vir fome sobre a terra de Canaã e cortou a provisão de alimento.
17 He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant;
17 Então enviou um homem adiante deles, José, que foi vendido como escravo.
18 His feet they hurt with fetters, his person was laid in iron;
18 Feriram seus pés com correntes e com ferros prenderam seu pescoço.
19 Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him.
19 O S enhor pôs José à prova, até chegar a hora de cumprir sua palavra.
20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the peoples, and set him free.
20 O faraó mandou chamar José e o libertou; o governante de nações lhe abriu a porta da prisão.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions;
21 José foi encarregado do palácio real e se tornou administrador de todos os seus bens.
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
22 Tinha toda a liberdade de instruir os assistentes do faraó e de ensinar os conselheiros da corte.
23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
23 Então Israel chegou ao Egito; Jacó viveu como estrangeiro na terra de Cam.
24 And He increased His people greatly, and made them too mighty for their adversaries.
24 O S enhor multiplicou seu povo, até que se tornaram mais numerosos que seus opressores.
25 He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
25 Voltou os egípcios contra seu povo, e eles tramaram contra os servos do S
26 He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen.
26 Mas o S enhor enviou Moisés, seu servo, e Arão, a quem havia escolhido.
27 They wrought among them His manifold signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
27 Eles realizaram sinais entre os egípcios, maravilhas na terra de Cam.
28 He sent darkness, and it was dark; and they rebelled not against His word.
28 O S enhor cobriu o Egito com trevas, pois desobedeceram
29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
29 Transformou as águas em sangue e matou os peixes.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings.
30 Rãs infestaram a terra e invadiram até os aposentos do rei.
31 He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their borders.
31 Por sua ordem, moscas desceram sobre os egípcios, e piolhos encheram todo o seu território.
32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
32 Enviou-lhes granizo em lugar de chuva, e relâmpagos faiscaram sobre a terra.
33 He smote their vines also and their fig-trees; and broke the trees of their borders.
33 Destruiu as videiras e as figueiras e despedaçou todas as árvores.
34 He spoke, and the locust came, and the canker-worm without number,
34 Por sua ordem, vieram enxames de gafanhotos, incontáveis gafanhotos jovens.
35 And did eat up every herb in their land, and did eat up the fruit of their ground.
35 Devoraram toda a vegetação da terra e destruíram toda a plantação nos campos.
36 He smote also all the first-born in their land, the first-fruits of all their strength.
36 Depois, matou o filho mais velho de todos os lares egípcios, a força e o orgulho de cada família.
37 And He brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was none that stumbled among His tribes.
37 Tirou seu povo do Egito cheio de prata e de ouro, e ninguém das tribos de Israel sequer tropeçou.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
38 Os egípcios se alegraram quando eles partiram, pois muito os temiam.
39 He spread a cloud for a screen; and fire to give light in the night.
39 O S enhor estendeu sobre o povo uma cobertura de nuvem e lhe deu fogo para iluminar a escuridão.
40 They asked, and He brought quails, and gave them in plenty the bread of heaven.
40 Quando pediram carne, enviou codornas; saciou sua fome com o pão do céu.
41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran, a river in the dry places.
41 Partiu uma rocha, e jorrou água, que correu como um rio pelo deserto.
42 For He remembered His holy word unto Abraham His servant;
42 Pois ele se lembrou da santa promessa que havia feito a seu servo Abraão.
43 And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with singing.
43 Tirou seu povo do Egito com alegria, seus escolhidos, com celebração.
44 And He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took the labour of the peoples in possession;
44 Deu a seu povo as terras das nações, e eles colheram o que outros haviam plantado.
45 That they might keep His statutes, and observe His laws. Hallelujah.
45 Tudo isso aconteceu para que guardassem seus decretos e obedecessem a suas leis. Louvado seja o S
