1 Jizọsi tụkwnonu be elulu berere, kaa,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “Be jeeji ẹli-eze Chiokike sninu otu nyerukna bụ eze, ke mennu nnwọ a rukna iriri ọlu nnwerne.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 O zihala ele izi a be sukwu ele be ziri va n'iriri ọlu nnwerne wam. Kọvu be kwéle ọ va.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 “O zihala ele izi a berere, kaa, ‘Kanụ be nụ m mekwatalam nhne iriri, be gbulem kpakara okne ehni m nụ rụmu nnwọ ehni m be znụrnu ọznu, be mekwakwolem kpakara nhne, anụ vanụ m iriri ọlu nnwerne.’
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 “Kọvu nụ be lewhuru a anya, znernu ke be, otu nyenum n'ẹkwu a, ke berere n'ẹrnu a.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Ele gwnarnụ nwụgwu ele izi a mee be nhne iwhnerne, gbu be.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Eze wam weru ẹhni k'agịda, o zizne ele ọgwnu a, be zne gbumekwo ele ogbu badnụ wam, kpọ ẹli-ọhna be bẹkwnu.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 “Ọ kanụ ele izi a, ‘M bịkwatakwolem nhne iriri ọlu nnwerne, kọvu nụ ele me sukwuru kwésile.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Anụ zne nụ kpakara ngeri apna, sukwu kpakara badnụ anụ whnụrnu, be va ri wiri ọlu nnwerne ke m.’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Ele izi wam whọga n'apna, sukwu kpakara badnụ be whnụrnu, kpa be hna, ma ele ọjo ma ele ọma, ọro ọlu nnwerne wam jipịyaru nụ badnụ.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 “Kọvu nga eze wam bnanyarnụ o lesi ele izne wam, ọ whnụrnu otu nyerukna ke wóge iwo ọlu nnwerne.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Ọ sịkwa, ‘Enyi m, ndaa kpa i jiri bnanya hna ma wóge iwo ọlu nnwerne?’ Ọnu snirni a.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 “Ige wam eze kannụ ele izi a, ‘Anụ kne a eriri ọchi nụ aka, gwehala n'ederezi, bịta a n'ọchichiri hne be jaazị naakwna ẹkwna, naata rụkwnurnu-ize.’ ”
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 N'ọchikota kpakara nhne n'otu, Jizọsi kaa, “Be sukwuru agịda badnụ, kọvu nụ ele be họhiaru zị ele nụ ele.”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Ige wam ele Farisi znernu gba iznuznu kpa be jeeme ma o hite n'ikwu-ọnu gbu nụ mbịta be.

16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Kanụ aị, kịni bụ echiche i, ọ bụru ọma n'iwu a tụ ntụ nyee Siza, sọbu ọ bụ́o ọma?”
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Kpa Jizọsi magwụ nhne ọjo be vu nụ mkpọma, ọ sịkwa be, “Ndaa nhne anụ kwno naakpa m iru, ele ruwhnu lawụru ka?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Anụ gesi m mkpụru ịwai ntụ.” Be gweyanụ a otu mkpụru ịwai.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Ọ sịkwa be, “Nyele nwe ruwhnu ka nụ rẹwhna be gbakwasịri a?”
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Be kaa, “Siza nwe.”
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Nga be nụrnu a, o duru be ẹhni, be whọga, gharụ a lahna.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.

24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Kịtna, rụmu nne rukna ẹsau nụ aị wuru hna, ke mbọm lụru nnwerne, nwụma nwée nnwọ, ọ sịgbasinu nwene a rukna nnwerne a.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Otu nhne wam mernu nwene a rukna ke ẹbo, nụ ke ẹto, dụ nụ ke ẹsau.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Omekwo kpakara be nwụkworu, nwerinya wam masị nwụrnu.
27 And last of all the woman also died.

28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Jizọsi sarụ be, “Anụ gahieru apna, anụ máa nhne be gbarụ n'ọkwukwo nsọ, mọbu rikne ke Chiokike.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Kwnornu nụ n'olizọ n'ẹnwu, be lụ́ nnwerne, be gbọ́ nzi. Be jọonu lele ele enine izi zị n'oligwe.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 Kọvu nhne gbasịri olizọ n'ẹnwu ke ele nwụrnu ọnwu, anụ gwnụ́na nhne Chiokike kannụ anụ? Ọ karụ,
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 ‘Mawa bụ Chiokike ke Ebereham, nụ Chiokike ke Aziki, nụ Chiokike ke Jekọpu?’ Chiokike bụ́o Chiokike ke ele nwụrnu ọnwu. Ọ bụ Chiokike ke ele zị bụdnu.”
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?

37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 Ka bụ iwu ke kakwo nụ nhne mbọm be nyernu n'iwu.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Iwu ke ẹbo nụ lele ya, ‘Ị jọowhnu nye agbatibi i n'anya lele ẹhni ị.’
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 Kpakara Iwu nụ kpakara iznizni ele ọwhnurninya Chiokike knogwu aka n'iwu lawụru ka.”
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Kpa ele Farisi gbakọru, Jizọsi sịkwa be,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 “Kịni bụ echiche anụ gbasịri Karaịsi? Ọ bụ nnwọ nyele?”
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Jizọsi kanụ be, “Kịni mernu Enine Chiokike jiri mee Devidi sukwu a ‘Nyenwe m’? Devidi karụ,
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 ‘Nyenwe aị kannụ Nyenwe m,
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 “Ọ bụru nụ Devidi sukwuru a ‘Nyenwe m,’ ndaa kpa o jeeji bụru kwno nnwọ a?”
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Be máa nhne be jaasa a. Hite n'ige wam ọ zị́ma nye nwernu anya rikne ọ sịkwa a ajịji berere.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
