9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.

10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Ke'iku'eirieni tita 'axamɨti'ane, 'aixɨa ketiyurieneni pɨta,
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Ti'aitame kaniwaxeiyani mɨkɨ heitseriemekɨ yamemɨtekahu,
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Mɨkɨ meta, ¿kepaikɨtsɨ 'axapɨxeyurieni xɨka xeyuwaɨriyani hikɨ xemɨyumexɨitɨakakɨ tita 'aixɨa mɨti'ane hepaɨtsita?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Metsɨ xɨka xete'ukakukwineni heitseriemekɨ yaxemɨtekahukɨ, xekeneyutemamawieka matsi. «Xepɨkawamakarɨka, xepɨkayuxamurieka».

15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.

20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
