1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Tr'iinin tsal vagoodlit ts'ą' ch'oołma' zhrįh niindhan, ąįį gwik'it nakhwan t'ee Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa Viginjik eenjit nakhwazhit gwiłts'ik. Gwik'iighai' neehohshii t'oonchy'aa.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Dęhtły'aa Choh zhit jyaa t'igwinyąą, “K'eegwaadhat deegwahtł'oo ch'eegoonzhrįį nilii gwiky'uunjik.”
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 K'eegwaadhat vats'ą' hohjyaa, kii-gwandaii k'it veegoo'aii, ąįį kii t'ee lęįį nąįį gooveenjit giilį' k'it t'inchy'aa gaa Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa gwitee tr'iiyahchįį ąįį hil'ee ts'ą' yąąh'in.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Dęhtły'aa Choh zhit jii jyaa nyąą,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Juu gwik'injiighit nąįį eenjit kii chil'ee nilii, gaa juu gwik'injiighit kwaa nąįį ąįį kii gooveenjit chil'ee kwaa:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Dęhtły'aa Choh kat ch'adanh gwa'an jyaa digwinyąą,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Gaa Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa gwitee tr'anakhweiinlii, king viginkhii ǫhłįį, nahkat gwich'in nąįį shroodiinyąą ǫhłįį, ts'ą' Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa vigii chan ǫhłįį ts'ą' shroodiinyąą ǫhłįį ts'ą' gwinzii t'ee'ya' geegwahoondak geenjit gwitee tr'ineenakhwanlii, ąįįt'ee tǫǫ k'ii'an gwats'an tr'anakhwinlii ts'ą' va'aadrii ch'eegwąhndit zhit nakhweenlii.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ch'ihłan Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa digii nąįį ts'ą' neeshraahchy'aa niindhan gaakhwandaii kwaa, gaa juk ąįį Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa neeshraahchy'aa nakhoonyaa ts'ą' chan vigii ǫhłįį.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Shijyaa nąįį, jii nankat aakin ǫhłįį ts'ą' zhyaa gehgoohohjyaa, gwiizųų ninjich'ǫhthat akwat gwiizųų t'ooshi'ya' yuuhthan ąįį kwaii gwits'į' adak'ǫǫntii, jii kwaii nakhwagwandaii zhit gwits'į' ninjich'its'ohthat reh.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Gwik'injiighit kwaa nąįį tee khit gwinzii tr'agoh'in, iizųų nakhwagahąąnjyaa ts'ą' nakhwagigiheekhyaa gaa Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa k'ineeheedik drin ji' nakhwagwitr'it gwinzii łee geedąhkhai' gwik'igahaandal ts'ą' izhit geenjit Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa deegahah'aa.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa gwinzii t'akhwa'in nakhoonyaa, zhit juu tr'igwinjik ky'aa ginkhii nąįį deegogwahahtsai' kwaa eenjit.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Deekhwa'ya' nohthan datthak gwik'it gǫhdaii ts'ą' gwiizųų t'akhwa'in ąįį nagoh'įį shrǫ', gaa Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa va-slaves ǫhłįį k'it gǫhdaii.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Juu nąįį datthak yinjiihooh'ee, gwik'injiighit nąįį chan eenjit ch'eet'igwiniindhan khwa'įį. Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa viyinjiihoh'ee, nahkat gwats'ą' k'eedeegwaadhat chan viyinjiihoh'ee.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ch'itsyaa nąįį, juu nakhwats'ą' k'eedeegwaadhat nąįį yinjiihooh'ee. Zhit juu nakhwats'ą' nizįį zhrįh kwaa gaa zhit juu nakhwats'ą' iizųų nąįį chan.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Geenjit kwaa khaiinjich'akhwaghit eenjit Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa nakhwashoohahłyaa, Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa deekhwa'ya' nakhoonyaa gwik'it t'akhwa'in geh'an.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Gwiizųų nakhwagwitr'it gwanlii eenjit khaiinjich'anakhwarahkhit ji' jidii gaiiyiigohtsii? Ch'akwaa! Gaa gwiizųų nakhwagwitr'it gwakwaa gwiizhit khaiinjich'anakhwarahkhit ji' Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa nakhwashoohahłyaa.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Jii kwaii geenjit t'ee Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa gwitee tr'anakhweiinlii t'ii'in; Christ nakhweenjit khaiinjich'iriłthat vik'it t'ahohchy'aa eenjit.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Vatr'agwaanduu gwakwaa, ts'ą' ch'ihłok gaa oots'it kwaa.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Gwiizųų datthak giits'ą' ginkhii dąį' gwidii ginkhe' kwaa, khaiinjich'igiiyahthat dąį' khaiinjich'anakhwahałkhit t'oonchy'aa nyąą kwaa. Gaa yeendaa ji' geenjit Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa t'injyąhchy'aa, juu khit ts'ą' shroodiinyąą haa gwitr'ineekhwalii.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Christ, diitr'agwaanduu eenjit Cross aghwaa, chan tr'agwaanduu tr'ineegwahoh'yaa kwaa geenjit ts'ą' Vit'eegwijyąhchy'aa vik'eegwahohthat haa gwahǫhdaii. Gwintł'oo khaiinjich'iighit k'iighai' neediinahshii.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Gwehkįį divii vaatr'igweendaii k'it t'ohchy'aa, gaa juk Divii k'ąąhtii khaihłan nineekhwanlii ts'ą' nakhwayinji' k'ąąhtii t'oonchy'aa.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
