1 To him that excelleth. A song or Psalme. Rejoice in God, all ye inhabitants of the earth.
1 Fazei um barulho alegre a Deus, vós, todas as terras.
2 Sing forth the glory of his name: make his praise glorious.
2 Cantai a honra do seu nome, fazei seus louvores gloriosos.
3 Say vnto God, Howe terrible art thou in thy workes! through the greatnesse of thy power shall thine enemies be in subiection vnto thee.
3 Dizei a Deus: Quão terrível és tu em tuas obras! Através da grandeza do teu poder teus inimigos se submeterão a ti.
4 All the worlde shall worship thee, and sing vnto thee, euen sing of thy Name. Selah.
4 Toda a terra te adorará, e cantará a ti; eles cantarão ao teu nome. Selá.
5 Come and beholde the workes of God: he is terrible in his doing towarde the sonnes of men.
5 Vinde e vede as obras de Deus; ele é terrível em seus feitos aos filhos dos homens.
6 He hath turned the Sea into drie land: they passe through the riuer on foote: there did we reioyce in him.
6 Ele transformou o mar em terra seca; atravessaram a inundação a pé, ali nos regozijamos nele.
7 He ruleth the worlde with his power: his eyes beholde the nations: the rebellious shall not exalt them selues. Selah.
7 Ele governa pelo seu poder para sempre. Seus olhos contemplam as nações; que os rebeldes não se exaltem. Selá.
8 Prayse our God, ye people, and make the voyce of his prayse to be heard.
8 Ó, bendizei nosso Deus, vós povos, e fazei a voz do seu louvor ser ouvida.
9 Which holdeth our soules in life, and suffereth not our feete to slippe.
9 Que sustenta nossa alma em vida, e não faz com que nossos pés sejam abalados.
10 For thou, O God, hast proued vs, thou hast tryed vs as siluer is tryed.
10 Pois tu, ó Deus, nos provaste, tu nos testaste como a prata é testada.
11 Thou hast brought vs into the snare, and layed a strait chaine vpon our loynes.
11 Ao Músico-chefe, Canção ou Salmo. Tu nos trouxeste para dentro da rede; puseste aflição sobre os nossos lombos.
12 Thou hast caused men to ryde ouer our heads: we went into fire and into water, but thou broughtest vs out into a welthie place.
12 Fizeste com que homens cavalgassem sobre as nossas cabeças; atravessamos o fogo e a água, mas tu nos trouxeste para um lugar rico.
13 I will go into thine House with burnt offrings, and will pay thee my vowes,
13 Entrarei na tua casa com ofertas queimadas; pagarei a ti os meus votos;
14 Which my lippes haue promised, and my mouth hath spoken in mine affliction.
14 Que os meus lábios proferiram, e a minha boca falou, quando eu estava em tribulação.
15 I will offer vnto thee the burnt offerings of fat rammes with incense: I will prepare bullocks and goates. Selah.
15 Oferecerei a ti ofertas queimadas de cevados, com incenso de carneiros; oferecerei novilhos com cabras. Selá.
16 Come and hearken, all ye that feare God, and I will tell you what he hath done to my soule.
16 Vinde e ouvi, todos vós que temeis a Deus, e eu declararei o que ele tem feito pela minha alma.
17 I called vnto him with my mouth, and he was exalted with my tongue.
17 A ele gritei com a minha boca, e ele foi exaltado com a minha língua.
18 If I regard wickednesse in mine heart, the Lord will not heare me.
18 Se eu considerar a iniquidade no meu coração, o Senhor não me ouvirá.
19 But God hath heard me, and considered the voyce of my prayer.
19 Mas na verdade Deus me ouviu; ele atendeu à voz da minha oração.
20 Praysed be God, which hath not put backe my prayer, nor his mercie from me.
20 Bendito seja Deus, que não afastou a minha oração, nem a sua misericórdia de mim.
