1 Nowe when the wall was builded, and I had set vp the doores, and the porters, and the singers and the Leuites were appointed,
1 Depois de reconstruída a muralha e colocados os portões no seu lugar, estabelecidos os porteiros, os cantores e os levitas,
2 Then I commanded my brother Hanani and Hananiah the prince of the palace in Ierusalem (for he was doubtlesse a faithfull man, and feared God aboue many)
2 eu nomeei Hanani, meu irmão, e Hananias, comandante da fortaleza, para que cuidassem da segurança de Jerusalém. Hananias era homem fiel e temente a Deus, mais do que muitos outros.
3 And I saide vnto them, Let not the gates of Ierusalem be opened, vntill the heate of the sunne: and while they stande by, let them shut the doores, and make them fast: and I appointed wardes of the inhabitants of Ierusalem, euery one in his warde, and euery one ouer against his house.
3 E eu lhes disse: — Os portões de Jerusalém não devem ser abertos antes que o sol faça sentir o seu calor. E os portões devem ser fechados e trancados enquanto os guardas ainda estão ali. Escolham guardas entre os moradores de Jerusalém, alguns para que fiquem nos postos de guarda e outros para que fiquem em frente das suas próprias casas.
4 Nowe the citie was large and great, but the people were few therein, and the houses were not buylded.
4 A cidade era espaçosa e grande, mas havia pouca gente nela, e as casas ainda não haviam sido reconstruídas.
5 And my God put into mine heart, and I gathered the princes, and the rulers, and the people, to count their genealogies: and I found a booke of the genealogie of them, which came vp at the first, and found written therein,
5 Então o meu Deus me pôs no coração que ajuntasse os nobres, os magistrados e o povo, para registrar as genealogias. Achei o livro da genealogia dos que foram os primeiros a voltar do cativeiro, e nele estava escrito:
6 These are the sonnes of the prouince that came vp from the captiuitie that was caried away (whome Nebuchadnezzar King of Babel had caryed away) and they returned to Ierusalem and to Iudah, euery one vnto his citie.
6 Estes são os filhos da província que voltaram do cativeiro, do meio dos exilados que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, tinha levado para lá. Eles voltaram para Jerusalém e para Judá, cada um para a sua cidade,
7 They which came with Zerubbabel, Ieshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Biguai, Nehum, Baanah. This is the nomber of the men of the people of Israel.
7 e vieram com Zorobabel, Jesua, Neemias, Azarias, Raamias, Naamani, Mordecai, Bilsã, Misperete, Bigvai, Neum e Baaná. Eis o número dos homens do povo de Israel:
8 The sonnes of Parosh, two thousande an hundreth seuentie and two.
8 os filhos de Parós, dois mil cento e setenta e dois.
9 The sonnes of Shephatiah, three hundreth seuentie and two.
9 Os filhos de Sefatias, trezentos e setenta e dois.
10 The sonnes of Arah, sixe hundreth fiftie and two.
10 Os filhos de Ará, seiscentos e cinquenta e dois.
11 The sonnes of Pahath Moab of ye sonnes of Ieshua, and Ioab, two thousand, eight hundreth and eighteene.
11 Os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesua e de Joabe, dois mil oitocentos e dezoito.
12 The sonnes of Elam, a thousand, two hundreth fiftie and foure.
12 Os filhos de Elão, mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro.
13 The sonnes of Zattu, eight hundreth and fiue and fourtie.
13 Os filhos de Zatu, oitocentos e quarenta e cinco.
14 The sonnes of Zacchai, seuen hundreth and three score.
14 Os filhos de Zacai, setecentos e sessenta.
15 The sonnes of Binnui, sixe hundreth and eight and fourtie.
15 Os filhos de Binui, seiscentos e quarenta e oito.
16 The sonnes of Bebai, sixe hundreth and eight and twentie.
16 Os filhos de Bebai, seiscentos e vinte e oito.
17 The sonnes of Azgad, two thousand, three hundreth and two and twentie.
17 Os filhos de Azgade, dois mil trezentos e vinte e dois.
18 The sonnes of Adonikam, sixe hundreth three score and seuen.
18 Os filhos de Adonicão, seiscentos e sessenta e sete.
19 The sonnes of Biguai, two thousand three score and seuen.
19 Os filhos de Bigvai, dois mil e sessenta e sete.
20 The sonnes of Adin, sixe hundreth, and fiue and fiftie.
20 Os filhos de Adim, seiscentos e cinquenta e cinco.
21 The sonnes of Ater of Hizkiah, ninetie and eight.
21 Os filhos de Ater, da família de Ezequias, noventa e oito.
22 The sonnes of Hashum, three hundreth and eight and twentie.
22 Os filhos de Hasum, trezentos e vinte e oito.
23 The sonnes of Bezai, three hundreth and foure and twentie.
23 Os filhos de Besai, trezentos e vinte e quatro.
24 The sonnes of Hariph, an hundreth and twelue.
24 Os filhos de Harife, cento e doze.
25 The sonnes of Gibeon, ninetie and fiue.
25 Os filhos de Gibeão, noventa e cinco.
26 The men of Beth-lehem and Netophah, an hundreth foure score and eight.

27 The men of Anathoth, an hundreth and eight and twentie.

28 The me of Beth-azmaueth, two and fourty.

29 The men of Kiriath-iearim, Chephirah and Beeroth, seuen hundreth, and three and fourtie.
29 Os homens de Quiriate-Jearim, Cefira e Beerote, setecentos e quarenta e três.
30 The men of Ramah and Gaba, sixe hundreth and one and twentie.
30 Os homens de Ramá e Geba, seiscentos e vinte e um.
31 The men of Michmas, an hundreth and two and twentie.
31 Os homens de Micmás, cento e vinte e dois.
32 The men of Beth-el and Ai, an hundreth and three and twentie.
32 Os homens de Betel e Ai, cento e vinte e três.
33 The men of the other Nebo, two and fifty.
33 Os homens do outro Nebo, cinquenta e dois.
34 The sonnes of the other Elam, a thousand, two hundreth and foure and fiftie.

40 The sonnes of Immer, a thousand and two and fiftie.

43 The Leuites: the sonnes of Ieshua of Kadmiel, and of the sonnes of Hodiuah, seuentie and foure.

44 The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundreth, and eight and fourtie.

58 The sonnes of Iaala, the sonnes of Darkon, the sonnes of Giddel,
58 os filhos de Jaala, os filhos de Darcom, os filhos de Gidel,
59 The sonnes of Shephatiah, the sonnes of Hattil, the sonnes of Pochereth of Zebaim, the sonnes of Amon.
59 os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Poquerete-Hazebaim e os filhos de Amom.
60 All the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruantes were three hundreth, ninetie and two.
60 Todos os servidores do templo e os filhos dos servos de Salomão eram trezentos e noventa e dois.
61 And these came vp from Tel-melah, Tel-haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shewe their fathers house, nor their seede, or if they were of Israel.
61 Os seguintes voltaram de Tel-Melá, Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adom e Imer, porém não puderam provar que as suas famílias e a sua linhagem eram de Israel:
62 The sonnes of Delaiah: the sonnes of Tobiah, the sonnes of Nekoda, six hundreth and two and fourtie.
62 os filhos de Delaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e quarenta e dois.
63 And of the Priestes: the sonnes of Habaiah, the sonnes of Hakkoz, the sonnes of Barzillai, which tooke one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was named after their name.
63 Dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaías, os filhos de Coz, os filhos de Barzilai, que tinha casado com uma das filhas de Barzilai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado pelo nome dele.
64 These sought their writing of the genealogies, but it was not founde: therefore they were put from the Priesthood.

65 And the Tirshatha sayd vnto them, that they should not eate of the most holy, till there rose vp a Priest with Vrim and Thummim.
65 O governador lhes disse que não comessem das coisas sagradas, até que se levantasse um sacerdote capaz de decidir a questão por meio de Urim e Tumim.
66 All the Congregation together was two and fourtie thousand, three hundreth and threescore,
66 Toda esta congregação junta era de quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta,
67 Besides their seruantes and their maydes, which were seuen thousand, three hundreth and seuen and thirtie: and they had two hundreth and fiue and fourtie singing men and singing women.
67 além dos seus servos e das suas servas, que eram sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete. Havia também duzentos e quarenta e cinco cantores e cantoras.
68 Their horses were seuen hundreth and sixe and thirtie, and their mules two hundreth and fiue and fourtie.
68 Os seus cavalos eram setecentos e trinta e seis; as suas mulas, duzentas e quarenta e cinco.
69 The camels foure hundreth and fiue and thirtie, and sixe thousande, seuen hundreth and twentie asses.
69 Os camelos eram quatrocentos e trinta e cinco e os jumentos, seis mil setecentos e vinte.
70 And certaine of the chiefe fathers gaue vnto the worke. The Tirshatha gaue to the treasure, a thousand drammes of golde, fiftie basins, fiue hundreth and thirtie Priests garments.
70 Alguns dos chefes das famílias contribuíram para a obra. O governador deu para o tesouro oito quilos e quatrocentos gramas de ouro, cinquenta bacias e quinhentas e trinta vestes sacerdotais.
71 And some of the chiefe fathers gaue vnto the treasure of the worke, twentie thousand drams of golde, and two thousande and two hundreth pieces of siluer.
71 E alguns mais dos chefes das famílias deram para o tesouro da obra cento e sessenta e oito quilos de ouro e mil e trezentos quilos de prata.
72 And the rest of the people gaue twentie thousand drammes of golde, and two thousande pieces of siluer, and three score and seuen Priestes garments.
72 O que o restante do povo deu foram cento e sessenta e oito quilos de ouro, mil e duzentos quilos de prata e sessenta e sete vestes sacerdotais.
73 And the Priestes, and Leuites, and the porters and the singers and the rest of the people and the Nethinims, and all Israel dwelt in their cities: and when the seuenth moneth came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
73 Os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores, alguns do povo, os servidores do templo e todo o Israel moravam nas suas cidades.
