1 "Men, brothers, and fathers, hear of{me} of{the defense} toward you emphatically-now."
1 — Meus senhores, irmãos e pais, escutem o que eu vou dizer a vocês em minha defesa!
2 Moreover, hear[ing] that he-sounds-toward to{same} to{the Hebrew dialect}, they-have-aside/present more quiet-ia, and he-is-asserting,
2 Quando o ouviram falar em hebraico , eles ficaram mais quietos ainda. Então Paulo disse:
3 "On-one-hand, I am-being [a] Judean man having-been-begotten in to{Tarsus} of{the Cilicia}; on-the-other-hand, having-been-nourished-up/anew in to{the city, the-same} beside the feet [of-]Gamaliel, having-been-child-ed/disciplined/instructed/educated according-to [the] precision of{the paternal law}, [a] zealot originating-under/undertaking of{the God} according-as all you are-being today,
3 — Eu sou judeu, nascido em Tarso, na região da Cilícia, mas fui criado aqui em Jerusalém como aluno de Gamaliel. Fui educado muito rigorosamente dentro da lei dos nossos antepassados. Eu era muito dedicado a Deus, como todos vocês aqui também são.
4 [I]who chase the-same, the way, even-to of{death}, binding and giving-aside/delivering into custodies both men and women.
4 Persegui os que seguiam este Caminho e fiz com que alguns fossem condenados à morte. Prendi homens e mulheres e os joguei na cadeia.
5 As also the chief-consecrated[i.e. chief priest] is-witnessing to{me} and all the eldership, beside of{whom}, also receive[ing] send-upons[i.e. communications] toward the brothers into Damascus, I-have-been-being-gone will-lead[ing] also the[plural] to-there-ly being having-been-bound into Jerusalem, in-which-place they-may-be-avenged.
5 O Grande Sacerdote e todo o Conselho Superior podem provar que estou dizendo a verdade, pois eu recebi cartas deles, escritas para os irmãos judeus que moram em Damasco. E fui até lá para prender os seguidores deste Caminho e trazê-los presos com correntes a Jerusalém, a fim de serem castigados.
6 Moreover, it-becomes to{me, being-gone and becoming-near} to{the Damascus} about midday/south out-suddenly/unexpectedly out of{the heaven} light to-flash-around sufficient around emphatically-me.
6 E Paulo continuou: — Eu estava viajando, já perto de Damasco, e era mais ou menos meio-dia. De repente, uma forte luz que vinha do céu brilhou em volta de mim.
7 Both I-fall into the ground/level and I-hear of{sound, saying} to{me}, 'Saul, Saul, what[?] you-are-chasing me[?]'
7 Eu caí no chão e ouvi uma voz que me dizia: “Saulo, Saulo, por que você me persegue?”
8 Moreover, I respond, 'Who[?] you-are-being, Lord[?]' Besides, he-says toward me, 'I am-being Jesus, the Nazarene, whom you are-chasing.'
8 — Então eu perguntei: “Quem é o senhor?”
9 Moreover, the[plural] being together-with to{emphatically-me} on-one-hand spectate the light and become in-fear; on-the-other-hand, they-do_not_hear the sound of{the speaking} to{me}.
9 — Os homens que viajavam comigo viram a luz, porém não ouviram a voz de quem falava comigo.
10 Moreover, I-say, 'What[?] I-may-do, Lord[?]' Moreover, the Lord says toward me, 'Stand[ing]-up/anew, be-being-gone into Damascus, and-there it-will-be-spoken to{you} about of{all which} has-been-set to{you} to-do.'
10 Eu perguntei: “Senhor, o que devo fazer?” — E o Senhor respondeu:
11 Moreover, as I-have_not_been-viewing-in off/away-from of{the esteem/glory} of{the light, the-there}, being-hand-led under of{the being-together-with} to{me} I-come into Damascus.
11 — Aquela luz brilhante tinha me deixado cego. Por isso os meus companheiros me pegaram pela mão e me levaram até Damasco.
12 Moreover, some man, Ananias, well-devoted[adjective] according-to the law, being-witnessed under of{all the housing-down Judeans} in to{Damascus},
12 Havia ali um homem chamado Ananias. Ele era religioso, obedecia à nossa Lei , e todos os judeus que moravam em Damasco o respeitavam.
13 come[ing] toward me and stand[ing]-upon, says to{me}, 'Saul, brother, view-anew,' and-I to{same, the hour} view-anew into same.
13 Esse homem veio me procurar, chegou perto de mim e disse: “Irmão Saulo, veja de novo!” — No mesmo instante comecei a ver de novo e olhei para ele.
14 Moreover, the says, 'The God of{the fathers} of{us} hand-izes-self-before you to-know the will-effect of{same} and to-behold the just and to-hear sound out of{the mouth} of{same},
14 Então ele disse: “Saulo, o Deus dos nossos antepassados escolheu você para conhecer a vontade dele, para ver o seu Bom Servo e para ouvir o Servo falar com você pessoalmente.
15 that you-will-be witness to{same[singular]} toward all men of{what} you-have-seen and you-hear,
15 Pois você será testemunha dele para dizer a todos aquilo que você tem visto e ouvido.
16 and now, what[?] you-are-being-about[?] Stand[ing]-up/anew, immerse-self and bathe-off/away the sins of{you}, call[ing]-upon the name of{same}.'
16 E agora não espere mais. Levante-se, peça a ajuda do Senhor e seja batizado, e os seus pecados serão perdoados.”
17 Moreover, it-becomes to{me, return[ing]} into Jerusalem and of{me praying} in to{the consecrated[i.e. temple]} me to-become in to{astoundment/stand-out-sis[i.e. state of displacement]}
17 E Paulo terminou, dizendo: — Então eu voltei para Jerusalém. Quando estava orando no Templo, tive uma visão.
18 and to-behold same saying to{me}, 'Hasten and come-out in to{speed} out [of-]Jerusalem, through-that they-will_not_receive-beside/accept of{you} witness-ia about of{emphatically-me},'
18 Vi o Senhor, e ele me disse: “Saia depressa de Jerusalém porque as pessoas daqui não aceitarão o que você vai dizer a meu respeito.”
19 and-I say, 'Lord, same[plural] are-standing-selves-upon[i.e. vouching for] that I have-been-being custody-izing[i.e. imprisoning] and flaying the believing/entrusting upon you according-to the gatherings[translit. "synagogues"] [i.e. gatherings/synagogues by gatherings/synagogues],
19 — Eu respondi: “Senhor, eles sabem muito bem que eu ia às sinagogas , e prendia os que criam em ti, e batia neles.
20 and when the blood of{Stephen, the witness} of{you}, has-been-being-poured-out, also same[I] have-been-being having-stood-upon and esteeming-well-together to{the lift-up-sis[i.e. state of removal/elimination]} of{same} and guarding the outer-garments of{the lifting-up[i.e. removing/eliminating]} same,'
20 Quando estavam matando Estêvão, que falava a respeito de ti, ó Senhor, eu estava ali, concordando com aquele crime. E até tomei conta das capas dos assassinos dele.”
21 and he-says toward me, 'Be-being-gone, that I will-send-out-off/away you far into [the] nations.'"
21 — Aí o Senhor disse: “Vá, pois eu vou enviá-lo para bem longe; vou enviá-lo aos não judeus.”
22 Moreover, they-have-been-hearing of{same} even-to of{the-same, the word} and lift-upon the sound of{same}, saying, "Be-lifting[i.e. remove/eliminate] from of{the earth} the to-whom-the-same, for it-has_not_been-arriving-down/according-to/suitable/appropriate same to-be-being-alive."
22 A multidão ficou ouvindo Paulo até que ele disse isso, mas aí eles começaram a gritar com toda a força: — Matem esse homem! — Ele não merece viver!
23 Moreover, of{same cry-out-izing} and of{tossing} the outer-garments and of{casting} dust into the air,
23 Eles gritavam, sacudiam as capas no ar e jogavam poeira para cima.
24 the thousand-chief/chiliarch orders same to-be-being-led-into into the [military]camp, say[ing] to-be-being-examined-anew, same, to{scourges}, in-which-place he-may-know-upon through which cause the-same-ly they-have-been-sounding-upon to{same}.
24 Então o comandante mandou que os seus soldados levassem Paulo para dentro da fortaleza. Mandou também que o chicoteassem para que ele contasse por que a multidão estava gritando contra ele.
25 Moreover, as they-stretch-ahead same to{the straps} the Paul says toward the having-stood hundred-chief/centurion "if [a] Roman man and without-judgment-against[adjective] is-being-permitted to{you} to-be-scourging."
25 Porém, quando o estavam amarrando para chicoteá-lo, Paulo perguntou ao oficial romano que estava perto dele: — Será que vocês têm o direito de chicotear um cidadão romano, especialmente um que não foi condenado por nenhum crime?
26 Moreover, hear[ing], the hundred-chief/centurion, come[ing]-toward, messages-off/away to{the thousand-chief/chiliarch}, saying, "What[?] you-are-being-about to-be-doing, for the man, the-same, is-being Roman."
26 Quando o oficial ouviu isso, foi falar com o comandante e disse: — O que é que o senhor vai fazer? Aquele homem é cidadão romano!
27 Moreover, come[ing]-toward, the thousand-chief/chiliarch says to{same}, "Be-saying to{me} if you are-being Roman." Moreover, the has-been-asserting, "Yes."
27 Então o comandante foi falar com Paulo e perguntou: — Me diga uma coisa: você é mesmo cidadão romano? — Sou! — respondeu Paulo.
28 Moreover, the thousand-chief/chiliarch responds, "I acquire the city-ia/citizenship, the-same, of{much capital}." Moreover, the Paul has-been-asserting, "Moreover, and I have-been-begotten."
28 Aí o comandante disse: — Eu também sou, e isso me custou muito dinheiro. Paulo respondeu: — Pois eu sou cidadão romano de nascimento.

29 Imediatamente os homens que iam chicoteá-lo recuaram. E o próprio comandante ficou com medo ao saber que Paulo era cidadão romano e ele tinha mandado amarrá-lo.
30 Moreover, to{the} upon-the-next-day, intending to-know the unfailing/unwavering/assured, the what[?] is-being-accused under of{the Judeans}, he-looses same, and orders the chief-consecrateds[i.e. chief priests] and all the council to-come-together and, lead[ing]-down the Paul, he-stands into same[plural].
30 O comandante queria saber com certeza por que os judeus estavam acusando Paulo. Então, no dia seguinte, mandou que tirassem as correntes que o prendiam e ordenou que os chefes dos sacerdotes e todo o Conselho Superior se reunissem. Depois mandou que trouxessem Paulo e o colocassem em frente deles.
