1 My brethren, (it is) the wish of my heart, and my prayer to Aloha concerning them, that they may be saved.
1 Irmãos, o desejo de meu coração e minha oração a Deus é que o povo de Israel seja salvo.
2 For I testify of them that they have zeal for Aloha, but not in knowledge.
2 Sei da dedicação deles por Deus, mas é entusiasmo sem entendimento.
3 But the righteousness of Aloha they know not, but seek the righteousness of themselves to establish, and on this account to the righteousness of Aloha they have not become subject.
3 Pois, não entendendo a maneira como Deus declara as pessoas justas diante dele, apegam-se a seu próprio modo de se tornar justos tentando seguir a lei, e recusam a maneira de Deus.
4 For the end of the law is the Meshiha unto righteousness in all who believe in him.
4 Pois Cristo é o propósito para o qual a lei foi dada. Como resultado, todo o que nele crê é declarado justo.
5 FOR Musha thus describeth the righteousness which is of the law, that he who doeth these things shall live by them.
5 Moisés escreve que o modo pelo qual a lei torna alguém justo exige obediência a todos os seus mandamentos.
6 But the righteousness which is by faith thus speaketh, Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven, And bring down the Meshiha?
6 Mas o modo pelo qual a fé torna alguém justo diz: “Não diga em seu coração: ‘Quem subirá ao céu?’ (para trazer Cristo para a terra).
7 And who shall descend into the deep of Sheul, And bring up the Meshiha from among the dead?
7 E não diga: ‘Quem descerá ao lugar dos mortos?’ (para trazer Cristo de volta à vida)”.
8 But what saith it? Nigh thee is the word of thy mouth and of thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.
8 Na verdade, diz: “A mensagem está bem perto; está em seus lábios e em seu coração”. E essa mensagem é a mesma que anunciamos a respeito da fé:
9 And if thou wilt confess with thy mouth our Lord Jeshu, and wilt believe with thy heart that Aloha hath raised him from among the dead, thou shalt be saved.
9 se você declarar com sua boca que Jesus é Senhor e crer em seu coração que Deus o ressuscitou dos mortos, será salvo.
10 For the heart which believeth in him is justified, and the mouth which confesseth him is saved.
10 Pois é crendo de coração que você é declarado justo, e é declarando com a boca que você é salvo.
11 For the scripture saith, that every one who believeth in him shall not be ashamed.
11 Como dizem as Escrituras: “Quem confiar nele jamais será envergonhado”.
12 And in this he hath not distinguished nor the Jihudoya nor the Aramoya; for one is the Lord of them all, who is rich toward every one who calleth on him.
12 Nesse sentido, não há diferença entre judeus e gentios, uma vez que ambos têm o mesmo Senhor, que abençoa generosamente todos que o invocam.
13 For every one who shall invoke the name of the Lord shall be saved.
13 Pois “todo aquele que invocar o nome do Senhor será salvo”.
14 How then shall they invoke him in whom they have not believed? Or how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? Or how shall they hear without a preacher?
14 Mas como poderão invocá-lo se não crerem nele? E como crerão nele se jamais tiverem ouvido a seu respeito? E como ouvirão a seu respeito se ninguém lhes falar?
15 Or how shall they preach if they are not sent? As it is written, How beautiful the feet of them who evangelize peace, And who evangelize good things!
15 E como alguém falará se não for enviado? Por isso as Escrituras dizem: “Como são belos os pés dos mensageiros que trazem boas-novas!”.
16 But all of them have not obeyed the preaching of the gospel: for Eshaia saith, My Lord, who hath believed our voice?
16 Nem todos, porém, aceitam as boas-novas, pois o profeta Isaías disse: “Senhor, quem creu em nossa mensagem?”.
17 Therefore faith is from the hearing of the ear, and the hearing of the ear from the word of Aloha.
17 Portanto, a fé vem por ouvir, isto é, por ouvir as boas-novas a respeito de Cristo.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Behold, in all the earth their voice hath gone forth, And to the ends of the world their words!
18 Mas eu pergunto: o povo de Israel ouviu, de fato, a mensagem? Sim, eles ouviram: “Sua mensagem chegou a toda a terra, e suas palavras alcançaram os confins do mundo”.
19 But I say, Hath not Israel known? First, Musha thus speaketh, I will provoke you by a people who is not a people. And by the disobedient people will I make you angry.
19 Volto a perguntar: será que o povo de Israel entendeu? Sim, eles entenderam, pois, já no tempo de Moisés, Deus disse: “Provocarei seu ciúme por meio de um povo que nem sequer é nação. Provocarei sua ira por meio de gentios insensatos”.
20 But Eshaia is bold, and saith, I am beheld by them who have not sought me, And found of them who for me have not inquired.
20 E, mais tarde, Isaías se pronunciou com ousadia: “Fui encontrado por aqueles que não me procuravam. Revelei-me àqueles que não perguntavam por mim”.
21 But of Israel he saith, I have stretched out my hands all the day To a contentious and disobedient people.
21 A respeito de Israel, porém, diz: “O dia todo abri meus braços para eles, mas foram desobedientes e rebeldes”.
