1 My brethren, (it is) the wish of my heart, and my prayer to Aloha concerning them, that they may be saved.
1 Irmãos, a boa vontade do meu coração e a minha súplica a Deus a favor deles são para que sejam salvos.
2 For I testify of them that they have zeal for Aloha, but not in knowledge.
2 Porque lhes dou testemunho de que eles têm zelo por Deus, porém não com entendimento.
3 But the righteousness of Aloha they know not, but seek the righteousness of themselves to establish, and on this account to the righteousness of Aloha they have not become subject.
3 Porquanto, desconhecendo a justiça de Deus e procurando estabelecer a sua própria, não se sujeitaram à que vem de Deus.
4 For the end of the law is the Meshiha unto righteousness in all who believe in him.
4 Porque o fim da lei é Cristo, para justiça de todo aquele que crê.
5 FOR Musha thus describeth the righteousness which is of the law, that he who doeth these things shall live by them.
5 Ora, Moisés escreveu que o homem que praticar a justiça decorrente da lei viverá por ela.
6 But the righteousness which is by faith thus speaketh, Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven, And bring down the Meshiha?
6 Mas a justiça decorrente da fé assim diz: Não perguntes em teu coração: Quem subirá ao céu?, isto é, para trazer do alto a Cristo;
7 And who shall descend into the deep of Sheul, And bring up the Meshiha from among the dead?
7 ou: Quem descerá ao abismo?, isto é, para levantar Cristo dentre os mortos.
8 But what saith it? Nigh thee is the word of thy mouth and of thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.
8 Porém que se diz? A palavra está perto de ti, na tua boca e no teu coração; isto é, a palavra da fé que pregamos.
9 And if thou wilt confess with thy mouth our Lord Jeshu, and wilt believe with thy heart that Aloha hath raised him from among the dead, thou shalt be saved.
9 Se, com a tua boca, confessares Jesus como Senhor e, em teu coração, creres que Deus o ressuscitou dentre os mortos, serás salvo.
10 For the heart which believeth in him is justified, and the mouth which confesseth him is saved.
10 Porque com o coração se crê para justiça e com a boca se confessa a respeito da salvação.
11 For the scripture saith, that every one who believeth in him shall not be ashamed.
11 Porquanto a Escritura diz: Todo aquele que nele crê não será confundido.
12 And in this he hath not distinguished nor the Jihudoya nor the Aramoya; for one is the Lord of them all, who is rich toward every one who calleth on him.
12 Pois não há distinção entre judeu e grego, uma vez que o mesmo é o Senhor de todos, rico para com todos os que o invocam.
13 For every one who shall invoke the name of the Lord shall be saved.
13 Porque: Todo aquele que invocar o nome do Senhor será salvo.
14 How then shall they invoke him in whom they have not believed? Or how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? Or how shall they hear without a preacher?
14 Como, porém, invocarão aquele em quem não creram? E como crerão naquele de quem nada ouviram? E como ouvirão, se não há quem pregue?
15 Or how shall they preach if they are not sent? As it is written, How beautiful the feet of them who evangelize peace, And who evangelize good things!
15 E como pregarão, se não forem enviados? Como está escrito: Quão formosos são os pés dos que anunciam coisas boas!
16 But all of them have not obeyed the preaching of the gospel: for Eshaia saith, My Lord, who hath believed our voice?
16 Mas nem todos obedeceram ao evangelho; pois Isaías diz: Senhor, quem acreditou na nossa pregação?
17 Therefore faith is from the hearing of the ear, and the hearing of the ear from the word of Aloha.
17 E, assim, a fé vem pela pregação, e a pregação, pela palavra de Cristo.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Behold, in all the earth their voice hath gone forth, And to the ends of the world their words!
18 Mas pergunto: Porventura, não ouviram? Sim, por certo: Por toda a terra se fez ouvir a sua voz, e as suas palavras, até aos confins do mundo.
19 But I say, Hath not Israel known? First, Musha thus speaketh, I will provoke you by a people who is not a people. And by the disobedient people will I make you angry.
19 Pergunto mais: Porventura, não terá chegado isso ao conhecimento de Israel? Moisés já dizia: Eu vos porei em ciúmes com um povo que não é nação, com gente insensata eu vos provocarei à ira.
20 But Eshaia is bold, and saith, I am beheld by them who have not sought me, And found of them who for me have not inquired.
20 E Isaías a mais se atreve e diz: Fui achado pelos que não me procuravam, revelei-me aos que não perguntavam por mim.
21 But of Israel he saith, I have stretched out my hands all the day To a contentious and disobedient people.
21 Quanto a Israel, porém, diz: Todo o dia estendi as mãos a um povo rebelde e contradizente.
