1 This saying is faithful, that if a man desire the presbyterate, a good work he desireth.
1 Iti tur i tur anababatun. Orot yait bai’ukwarin isan ana not tutufin etei nanotanot na’at, i ana naniyan tutufin etei bowabow gewasin nasinaf.
2 But it behoveth that a presbyter be as that blame be not found in him; and that he be the husband of one wife; (a man) who is of a vigilant mind, chaste, and orderly, and a lover of guests, and instructful;
2 Ekaleisia ana ukwarin orot aurin ubar en, a wan ta’imon, taiyuwin ana yawas nakaif gewas, nakakafiy, ana not rerekabin, merarayow wairafin, bai’obaiyen isan i karam,
3 and not a transgressor over wine, nor (one) whose hand hastens to strike; but he is to be gentle and not contentious, nor a lover of money;
3 men harew fokarih tomayan, men baiyow kwanekwaneyan, baise yan nuwarob, tufuw ana orot, men kabay ana momorob.
4 and (one who) ruleth his house well, holding his children in subjection with all purity.
4 Aawan natunatun nakaifih gewas naatu natunatun ni’obaiyih gewas, naatu na’itin natunatun i hikakafiy tebobosiyasiyar.
5 For if his own house he know not to rule well, how is he able to rule the church of Aloha?
5 Orot yait aawan natunatun men nakakaifih gewas na’at, God ana ekaleisia boro mi’itube nabonawiyih gewas.
6 Neither shall his discipleship be recent, lest he be lifted up, and fall into the judgment of Satana.
6 Nati orot i men iti boro’omo na baitumatumayan mamataramih, anayabin bai’o’orot asir boro nan wanawanan narun, Demon Mowan isan matar God bibatiy na’atube boro ibo nati baibatiyen ta’imon nab.
7 But it is needful that he have also a good testimony from those without, that he may not fall into reproach, and into the net of Satana.
7 Iti orot i sabuw iyab baitafaror atih ufun tema’am i tekakakafiy, saise i boro men wabin kakafinamaim hinayai naatu demon mowan ana warasa na’onamih.
8 And also the ministers must be pure, not speaking doubly, not inclined to much wine, nor shall they love unclean gains.
8 Ef i ta’imon, baibaisayah hai yawas nigewasin men hinifufuwen, men harew fokarih hinatom, men kabay isan hinikabat
9 But they shall hold the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience.
9 Naatu hai not narererekab ata baitumatum ana sawar abisa na irerereb tai’itin hinabukikin.
10 And these are to be proved first, and then to minister, being without blame.
10 Fufunen boro i wan hinab, naatu nati fufunen hinabisnowah na’at, i karam boro Tafaror Bar wanawanan ana baibaisayah na’atube hinama hinabow.
11 Thus also must the woman be chaste, and they shall be vigilant (in their) minds, and faithful in every thing; and they shall not be accusers.
11 Ef ta’imon, nati orot a’awah hai yawas nigewasin sabuw afa hina’itih hinakakafiyih, men hinayanuw sabuw hiniyababanih, baise hinabosunusunub naatu hai bowabowamaim sabuw etei hina’itin hinitutumih.
12 The ministers shall be (of them) severally who have one wife, and shall rule each his children and his household well.
12 Baibaisayan aawan i ta’imon ni’awan naatu aawan natunatun nakaifih gewas naatu ana nibur nati baremaim tema’am auman nakaifih gewas.
13 For they who minister well, a good degree acquire for themselves, and much openness of face in the faith of Jeshu Meshiha.
13 Naatu baibaisayah iyab bowabow gewasin tebowabow boro hinayara’ahih hai baitumatum Keriso Jesu wanawananamaim hibaib i boro nara’at nafokar.
14 These I write to thee, hoping soon to come to thee;
14 Ayu anotanot iti boro’omo anan ana’iti, baise a fef ibo iti akirum abiyafar saise,
15 but if I should delay, that thou mayest know how to converse in the house of Aloha, which is the church of Aloha the Living, the column and foundation of the truth.
15 Ayu anarurubir na’at, sabuw iyab God nowan hai yawas kaifin isan ana ef boro hinaso’ob gewas hinakaif, naatu sabuw nati i God wanatowan ma’ama’anin ana ekaleisia anababatun, turobe ana wabat naatu ana tutut.
16 And truly great is this mystery of righteousness, which was revealed in the flesh, and justified by the Spirit, and seen of angels, and preached among the peoples, and believed in the world, and taken up into glory.
16 It ata tafaror ana kirikirifot an gagamin na’in isan boro men yait ta nayaubamih. Na ibebeyan biyat ana itinin na’atube matar, Anun Kakafiyin ebi’obaiyit i turobe, tounamatar hi’itin, wabin hibai hitit sabuw wanawanahimaim etei hibinan naatu tafaram tutufin etei hitumitum imaibo God bora’ah yen ana marakaw bonamanamarinamaim run.
