1 To David, when he changed his mouth, or his word, before Abimelech, and he drove out David, and he went forth. [The psalm of David, when he changed his cheer before Abimelech, and he left him \+sls (or and so he let him go)\+sls*, and he went away.] I shall bless the Lord in all time; ever[more] his praising be in my mouth. (\+em A song\+em* by \+em David, when he changed his face, and his words, before Abimelech, who then drove out David or sent him away, and so he went forth\+em*. I shall always bless the Lord; his praises \+em shall be\+em* in my mouth forevermore.)
1 Louvarei ao Senhor em todo o tempo; o seu louvor estará continuamente na minha boca.
2 My soul shall be praised in the Lord; mild men hear, and be glad. (My soul shall have glory in the Lord; let the humble hear, and be glad.)
2 A minha alma se gloriará no Senhor ; os mansos o ouvirão e se alegrarão.
3 Magnify ye the Lord with me; and enhance we his name into itself (or and let us exalt his name together).
3 Engrandecei ao Senhor comigo, e juntos exaltemos o seu nome.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me; and he delivered me from all my tribulations (or and he rescued, \+em or saved\+em*, me, from all of my troubles).
4 Busquei ao Senhor , e ele me respondeu; livrou-me de todos os meus temores.
5 Nigh ye to him, and be ye lightened, (or Go ye near to him, and ye shall shine with joy); and your faces shall not be shamed.
5 Olharam para ele, e foram iluminados; e os seus rostos não ficarão confundidos.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him; and saved him from all his tribulations.
6 Clamou este pobre, e o Senhor o ouviu; e o salvou de todas as suas angústias.
7 The angel of the Lord sendeth in the compass of men dreading him; and he shall deliver them. (The angel of the Lord guardeth those who fear him or who revere him; and he rescueth them.)
7 O anjo do Senhor acampa-se ao redor dos que o temem, e os livra.
8 Taste ye, and see, for the Lord is sweet; blessed is the man, that hopeth in him. (Taste ye, and see, that the Lord is good; happy \+em is\+em* the person, who trusteth in him.)
8 Provai e vede que o Senhor é bom; bem-aventurado o homem que nele confia.
9 All ye holy men of the Lord, dread ye him; for no neediness is to men dreading him. (All ye holy people of the Lord, fear him; for there is no neediness in those who fear him./All ye holy people of the Lord, revere him; for there is no neediness in those who revere him.)
9 Temei ao Senhor , vós os seus santos, pois não têm falta alguma aqueles que o temem.
10 Rich men were needy, and were hungry; but men that seek the Lord shall not fail of all good (or but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing).
10 Os filhos dos leões necessitam e sofrem fome, mas aqueles que buscam ao Senhor de nada têm falta.
11 Come, ye sons, hear ye me; I shall teach you the dread of the Lord. (Come, ye sons and daughters, and listen ye to me; I shall teach you the fear of the Lord or I shall teach you to revere the Lord.)
11 Vinde, meninos, ouvi-me; eu vos ensinarei o temor do Senhor .
12 Who is the man, that willeth life; that loveth to see good days? (Who is the person who desireth life? \+em who\+em* loveth to see good days?)
12 Quem é o homem que deseja a vida, que quer largos dias para ver o bem?
13 Forbid thy tongue from evil; and thy lips speak not guile (or and do not let thy lips speak deceitfully).
13 Guarda a tua língua do mal e os teus lábios, de falarem enganosamente.
14 Turn thou away from evil, and do good; seek thou peace, and perfectly follow thou it.
14 Aparta-te do mal e faze o bem; procura a paz e segue-a.
15 The eyes of the Lord be on just men (or The eyes of the Lord \+em be\+em* on the righteous); and his ears be to their prayers.
15 Os olhos do Senhor estão sobre os justos; e os seus ouvidos, atentos ao seu clamor.
16 But the cheer of the Lord is on men doing evils; that he lose the mind of them from [the] earth. (But the face of the Lord \+em is\+em* against those who do evil; and he shall blot out the memory of them from off the earth.)
16 A face do Senhor está contra os que fazem o mal, para desarraigar da terra a memória deles.
17 Just men cried [or The rightwise cried], and the Lord heard them; and delivered them from all their tribulations (or and he rescued, \+em or saved\+em*, them from all their troubles).
17 Os justos clamam, e o Senhor os ouve e os livra de todas as suas angústias.
18 The Lord is nigh [to] them that be of troubled heart; and he shall save meek men in spirit. (The Lord is near to those who have a troubled heart; and he saveth those whose spirit is meek, \+em or is humble\+em*.)
18 Perto está o Senhor dos que têm o coração quebrantado e salva os contritos de espírito.
19 Many tribulations be of just men; and the Lord shall deliver them from all these. (Many troubles \+em be\+em* to the righteous; but the Lord shall rescue, \+em or save\+em*, them out of all of them.)
19 Muitas são as aflições do justo, mas o Senhor o livra de todas.
20 The Lord keepeth all the bones of them; one of those shall not be broken. (The Lord guardeth, \+em or keepeth safe\+em*, all their bones; not one of them shall be broken.)
20 Ele lhe guarda todos os seus ossos; nem sequer um deles se quebra.
21 The death of sinners is worst; and they that hate a just man shall trespass. (The death of sinners \+em is brought about by\+em* the Worst or Evil \+em bringeth about\+em* the death of sinners; and those who hate the righteous shall be punished.)
21 A malícia matará o ímpio, e os que aborrecem o justo serão punidos.
22 The Lord shall again-buy the souls of his servants; and all, that hope in him, shall not trespass. (But the Lord redeemeth, \+em or ransometh\+em*, the souls of his servants; and all who trust in him, shall not go astray.)
22 O Senhor resgata a alma dos seus servos, e nenhum dos que nele confiam será condenado.
