1 Therefore, brethren, I beseech you by the mercy of God, that ye give your bodies (as) a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, and your service reasonable (or which is your reasonable service).
1 Portanto, irmãos, rogo-lhes pelas misericórdias de Deus que se ofereçam em sacrifício vivo, santo e agradável a Deus; este é o culto racional de vocês.
2 And do not ye be conformed to this world, but be ye reformed in (the) newness of your wit, that ye prove which is the will of God, (or but be ye reformed in the renewing of your mind, or in your thinking, so that ye prove what is the will of God), good, and well pleasing, and perfect.
2 Não se amoldem ao padrão deste mundo, mas transformem-se pela renovação da sua mente, para que sejam capazes de experimentar e comprovar a boa, agradável e perfeita vontade de Deus.
3 For I say, by the grace that is given to me, to all that be among you, that ye understand not more than it behooveth to understand, but for to understand to soberness, [or to not savour, or know, more than it behooveth to know, but to know to soberness]; and to each man, as God hath parted the measure of faith.
3 Pois pela graça que me foi dada digo a todos vocês: ninguém tenha de si mesmo um conceito mais elevado do que deve ter; mas, pelo contrário, tenha um conceito equilibrado, de acordo com a medida da fé que Deus lhe concedeu.
4 For as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same deed [or the same act];
4 Assim como cada um de nós tem um corpo com muitos membros e esses membros não exercem todos a mesma função,
5 so we many be one body in Christ, and each be members one of another. (so we many bodies be but one body in the Messiah, and each of us \+em be\+em* members of one another.)
5 assim também em Cristo nós, que somos muitos, formamos um corpo, e cada membro está ligado a todos os outros.
6 Therefore we that have gifts diversing [or Therefore having gifts diversing], after the grace that is given to us, either prophecy, after the reason of faith;
6 Temos diferentes dons, de acordo com a graça que nos foi dada. Se alguém tem o dom de profetizar, use-o na proporção da sua fé.
7 either service [or ministry], in ministering; either he that teacheth, in teaching;
7 Se o seu dom é servir, sirva; se é ensinar, ensine;
8 he that stirreth softly, in admonishing [or in exhortation]; he that giveth, in simpleness (or with sincerity); he that is sovereign, [or is \+sls (a)\+sls* prelate, or is before], in busyness (or with zeal and concern); he that hath mercy, in gladness.
8 se é dar ânimo, que assim faça; se é contribuir, que contribua generosamente; se é exercer liderança, que a exerça com zelo; se é mostrar misericórdia, que o faça com alegria.
9 Love without feigning, hating evil, drawing [or fast\+sls (ly)\+sls* cleaving] to (the) good;
9 O amor deve ser sincero. Odeiem o que é mau; apeguem-se ao que é bom.
10 loving together the charity of brotherhood. Each come before to worship (the) other [or Coming before together in honour];
10 Dediquem-se uns aos outros com amor fraternal. Prefiram dar honra aos outros mais do que a si próprios.
11 not slow in busyness, fervent in spirit, serving to the Lord,
11 Nunca lhes falte o zelo, sejam fervorosos no espírito, sirvam ao Senhor.
12 joying in hope, patient in tribulation, busy in prayer,
12 Alegrem-se na esperança, sejam pacientes na tribulação, perseverem na oração.
13 giving good to the needs of (the) saints, keeping hospitality. (giving what is needed to God’s people, being hospitable.)
13 Compartilhem o que vocês têm com os santos em suas necessidades. Pratiquem a hospitalidade.
14 Bless ye men that pursue you; bless ye, and do not ye curse (them); (Bless those who persecute you; yea, bless them, and do not curse them;)
14 Abençoem aqueles que os perseguem; abençoem, e não os amaldiçoem.
15 for to joy with men that joy, for to weep with men that weep.
15 Alegrem-se com os que se alegram; chorem com os que choram.
16 Feel ye the same thing together; not understanding high things, [or not savouring, or cunning, \+sls (or knowing)\+sls*, high things], but consenting to meek (or to humble) things, [following meek \+sls (or humble)\+sls* fathers]. Do not ye be prudent with yourselves (or Do not think yourselves to be overly wise);
16 Tenham uma mesma atitude uns para com os outros. Não sejam orgulhosos, mas estejam dispostos a associar-se a pessoas de posição inferior. Não sejam sábios aos seus próprios olhos.
17 to no man yielding evil for evil, but purvey ye good things, not only before God, but also before all men.
17 Não retribuam a ninguém mal por mal. Procurem fazer o que é correto aos olhos de todos.
18 If it may be done, that that is of you, have ye peace with all men.
18 Façam todo o possível para viver em paz com todos.
19 Ye most dear brethren, not defending, [or venging], yourselves, but give ye place to wrath [or ire]; for it is written, The Lord saith, To me vengeance, and I shall yield (it).
19 Amados, nunca procurem vingar-se, mas deixem com Deus a ira, pois está escrito: "Minha é a vingança; eu retribuirei", diz o Senhor.
20 But if thine enemy hungereth, feed thou him; if he thirsteth, give thou drink to him; for thou doing this thing shalt gather together coals on his head [or forsooth doing these things thou shalt gather together coals on his head].
20 Pelo contrário: "Se o seu inimigo tiver fome, dê-lhe de comer; se tiver sede, dê-lhe de beber. Fazendo isso, você amontoará brasas vivas sobre a cabeça dele".
21 Do not thou be overcome of evil, but overcome thou evil by good. (Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.)
21 Não se deixem vencer pelo mal, mas vençam o mal com o bem.
