1 And Jesus went out of the temple; and his disciples came to him, to show him the buildings of the temple.
1 Quando Jesus saía da área do templo, seus discípulos lhe chamaram a atenção para as diversas construções do edifício.
2 But he answered, and said to them, See ye all these things? Truly I say to you (or I tell you the truth), a stone shall not be left on a stone/a stone shall not be left here on one stone, that not it shall be destroyed [or which shall not be destroyed].
2 Ele, porém, disse: “Estão vendo todas estas construções? Eu lhes digo a verdade: elas serão completamente demolidas. Não restará pedra sobre pedra!”.
3 And when he sat on the mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privily (or in private), and said, Say to us, when these things shall be, and what (is the) token (or the sign) of thy coming, and of the ending of the world.
3 Mais tarde, Jesus sentou-se no monte das Oliveiras. Seus discípulos vieram até ele em particular e perguntaram: “Diga-nos, quando isso tudo vai acontecer? Que sinal indicará sua volta e o fim dos tempos?”.
4 And Jesus answered, and said to them, Look ye [or See ye], that no man deceive you.
4 Jesus respondeu: “Não deixem que ninguém os engane,
5 For many shall come in my name, and shall say, I am Christ (or I am the Messiah); and they shall deceive many.
5 pois muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: ‘Eu sou o Cristo’, e enganarão muitos.
6 For ye shall hear battles, and opinions of battles; see ye that ye be not disturbed [or that ye be not distroubled]; for it behooveth these things to be done, but not yet is the end.
6 Vocês ouvirão falar de guerras e ameaças de guerras, mas não entrem em pânico. Sim, é necessário que essas coisas ocorram, mas ainda não será o fim.
7 For folk shall rise together against folk, and realm against realm, and pestilences, and hungers, and earth-movings shall be by places; (For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and plagues, and famines, and earthquakes shall be in places;)
7 Uma nação guerreará contra a outra, e um reino contra o outro. Haverá fome e terremotos em várias partes do mundo.
8 and all these be (but the) beginnings of (the) sorrows.
8 Tudo isso, porém, será apenas o começo das dores de parto.
9 Then men shall betake you into tribulation, and shall slay you, and ye shall be in hate [or in hatred] to all folks for my name. (Then men shall deliver you unto trials and troubles, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations and all the peoples, for my name’s sake.)
9 “Então vocês serão presos, perseguidos e mortos. Por minha causa, serão odiados em todo o mundo.
10 And then many shall be caused to stumble, and betray each other, and they shall hate each other.
10 Muitos se afastarão de mim, e trairão e odiarão uns aos outros.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and deceive many.
11 Falsos profetas surgirão em grande número e enganarão muitos.
12 And for wickedness shall be plenteous, the charity of many shall wax cold (or the love of many shall grow cold);
12 O pecado aumentará e o amor de muitos esfriará,
13 but he that shall dwell still [or steadfast] into the end, shall be safe. (but he who shall endure unto the end, shall be saved.)
13 mas quem se mantiver firme até o fim será salvo.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, in[to] witnessing to all folks; and then the end shall come. (And this Gospel, or Good News, of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world, as a testimony to all the nations and all the peoples; and then the end shall come.)
14 As boas-novas a respeito do reino serão anunciadas em todo o mundo, para que todas as nações as ouçam; então, virá o fim.
15 Therefore when ye see the abomination of discomfort, that is said of (or by) Daniel, the prophet, standing in the holy place; he that readeth (this), understand he;
15 “Chegará o dia em que vocês verão aquilo de que o profeta Daniel falou, a ‘terrível profanação’ que será colocada no lugar santo. (Leitor, preste atenção!)
16 then they that be in Judea, flee to the mountains;
16 Quem estiver na Judeia, fuja para os montes.
17 and he that is in the house roof (or and he who \+em is\+em* on the roof of the house), come not down to take anything (out) of his house;
17 Quem estiver no terraço no alto da casa, não desça para pegar suas coisas.
18 and he that is in the field, turn not again to take his coat (or do not return to get his coat).
18 Quem estiver no campo, não volte nem para pegar o manto.
19 But woe to them that be with child, and nourishing [or nursing] in those days.
19 Que terríveis serão aqueles dias para as grávidas e para as mães que estiverem amamentando!
20 Pray ye, that your flying be not made in winter, or in the sabbath. (Pray ye, that your fleeing be not made in winter, or on the Sabbath.)
20 Orem para que a fuga de vocês não seja no inverno nem no sábado,
21 For then shall be great tribulation, what manner was not from the beginning of the world to now [or till now], neither shall be made.
21 pois haverá mais angústia que em qualquer outra ocasião desde o começo do mundo, e nunca mais haverá angústia tão grande.
22 And but those days had been abridged (or shortened), each flesh, [or all flesh, that is, mankind], should not be made safe (or none of mankind could be saved); but those days shall be made short, for the chosen men.
22 De fato, se o tempo de calamidade não tivesse sido limitado, ninguém sobreviveria, mas esse tempo foi limitado por causa dos escolhidos.
23 Then if any man say to you, Lo! here is Christ, or there, do not ye believe (him). (Then if anyone say to you, Behold! here is the Messiah, or there, do not believe them.)
23 “Portanto, se alguém lhes disser: ‘Vejam, aqui está o Cristo!’ ou ‘Ali está ele!’, não acreditem,
24 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise (up), (or For false Messiahs and false prophets shall rise up), and they shall give great tokens [or great signs] and wonders; so that also the chosen be led into error, if it may be done.
24 pois falsos cristos e falsos profetas surgirão e realizarão grandes sinais e maravilhas a fim de enganar, se possível, até os escolhidos.
25 Lo! I have before-said to you.
25 Vejam que eu os avisei disso de antemão.
26 Therefore if they say to you, Lo! he is in (the) desert, do not ye go out; lo! he is in privy places, (or behold! \+em (he is)\+em* in private, or secret, places), do not ye believe (them).
26 “Portanto, se alguém lhes disser: ‘Ele está no deserto!’, nem se deem ao trabalho de sair para procurá-lo. E se disserem: ‘Está escondido aqui!’, não acreditem.
27 For as lightning goeth out from the east, and appeareth into the west, so shall be also the coming of man’s Son.
27 Porque, assim como o relâmpago lampeja no leste e brilha no oeste, assim será a vinda do Filho do Homem.
28 Wherever the body shall be, also the eagles shall be gathered thither.
28 Onde estiver o cadáver, ali se ajuntarão os abutres.
29 And anon (or at once) after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be made dark, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from (the) heaven(s), and the virtues (or the powers) of (the) heavens shall be moved [or shall be stirred].
29 “Imediatamente depois da angústia daqueles dias, ‘o sol escurecerá, a lua não dará luz, as estrelas cairão do céu e os poderes dos céus serão abalados’.
30 And then the token of man’s Son shall appear in (the) heaven(s), and then all the kindreds, [or all the lineages], (or all the tribes), of the earth shall wail; and they shall see man’s Son coming in the clouds of (the) heaven(s), with much virtue, and majesty. (And then the sign of man’s Son shall appear in the heavens, and then all the peoples of the earth shall wail; and they shall see man’s Son coming on the clouds of the heavens, with great power, and majesty.)
30 Então, por fim, aparecerá no céu o sinal da vinda do Filho do Homem, e haverá grande lamentação entre todos os povos da terra. Eles verão o Filho do Homem vindo nas nuvens do céu com poder e grande glória.
31 And he shall send (out) his angels with a trumpet, and a great voice (or and a great blast); and they shall gather his chosen from (the) four winds, from the highest things of heaven (un)to the ends of them.
31 Ele enviará seus anjos com um forte sopro de trombeta, e eles reunirão os escolhidos de todas as partes do mundo, de uma extremidade à outra do céu.
32 And learn ye the parable of the fig tree. When his branch is now tender, and the leaves be sprung, ye know that summer is nigh, (or When its branch is now tender, and the leaves be sprung out, ye know that summer is near);
32 “Agora, aprendam a lição da figueira. Quando os ramos surgem e as folhas começam a brotar, vocês sabem que o verão está próximo.
33 and so ye when ye shall see all these things, know ye that it is nigh, (yea), in the gates, (or know that it is near, yes, even at the door).
33 Da mesma forma, quando virem todas essas coisas, saberão que o tempo está muito próximo, à porta.
34 Truly I say to you (or I tell you the truth), for this generation shall not pass (away), till all (these) things be done;
34 Eu lhes digo a verdade: esta geração certamente não passará até que todas essas coisas tenham acontecido.
35 heaven and earth shall pass (away), but my words shall not pass (away).
35 O céu e a terra desaparecerão, mas as minhas palavras jamais desaparecerão.
36 But of that day and hour no man knoweth, neither [the] angels of heaven, [no] but the Father alone (or but only the Father).
36 “Contudo, ninguém sabe o dia nem a hora em que essas coisas acontecerão, nem mesmo os anjos no céu, nem o Filho. Somente o Pai sabe.
37 But as it was in the days of Noe (or Noah), so shall be the coming of man’s Son.
37 “Quando o Filho do Homem voltar, será como no tempo de Noé.
38 For as in the days before the great flood, they were eating and drinking, wedding and taking to wedding, till that day, that Noe (or Noah) entered into the ship;
38 Nos dias antes do dilúvio, o povo seguia sua rotina de banquetes, festas e casamentos, até o dia em que Noé entrou na arca.
39 and they knew not, till the great flood came, and took (away) all men, so shall be the coming of man’s Son.
39 Não perceberam o que estava para acontecer até que veio o dilúvio e levou todos. Assim será na vinda do Filho do Homem.
40 Then twain shall be in a field, one shall be taken, and the other left;
40 “Dois homens estarão trabalhando juntos no campo; um será levado, e o outro, deixado.
41 two women shall be grinding in a quern [or \+sls (at a)\+sls* mill], one shall be taken, and the other left; twain in a bed, the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Duas mulheres estarão moendo cereal no moinho; uma será levada, e a outra, deixada.
42 Therefore wake ye, (or And so be on watch, or stay awake), for ye know not in what hour the Lord shall come.
42 “Portanto, vigiem, pois não sabem em que ocasião o seu Senhor virá.
43 But know ye this, that if the husbandman knew in what hour the thief were to come, certainly he would wake, and suffer not his house to be undermined (or and would not allow his house to be robbed).
43 Entendam isto: se o dono da casa soubesse exatamente a que horas viria o ladrão, ficaria atento e não permitiria que a casa fosse arrombada.
44 And therefore be ye ready, for in what hour ye guess not, man’s Son shall come.
44 Estejam também sempre preparados, pois o Filho do Homem virá quando menos esperam.
45 Who guessest thou is a true [or is a faithful] servant and prudent, whom his lord ordained on his household, to give them meat in (its) time? (Then who thinkest thou, is a faithful and a wise servant, whom his lord hath ordained upon, or over, his household, to give them their food at the proper time?)
45 “O servo fiel e sensato é aquele a quem seu senhor encarrega de gerir os outros servos da casa e alimentá-los.
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord, when he shall come, shall find so doing.
46 Se o senhor voltar e constatar que o servo fez um bom trabalho, haverá recompensa.
47 Truly I say to you, for on all his goods he shall ordain him. (I tell you the truth, that he shall put him in charge over all of his property.)
47 Eu lhes digo a verdade: ele colocará todos os seus bens sob os cuidados desse servo.
48 But if that evil servant say in his heart, My lord tarrieth to come,
48 O que acontecerá, porém, se o servo for mau e pensar: ‘Meu senhor não voltará tão cedo’,
49 and beginneth to smite his even-servants, and to eat, and drink with drunken men;
49 e começar a espancar os outros servos, a comer e a beber e se embriagar?
50 the lord of that servant shall come in the day [in] which he hopeth not, and in the hour that he knoweth not,
50 O senhor desse servo voltará em dia que não se espera e em hora que não se conhece,
51 and shall part him (or and shall divide him in pieces), and put his part with (the) hypocrites; there shall be weeping, and grinding of teeth.
51 cortará o servo ao meio e lhe dará o mesmo destino dos hipócritas. Ali haverá choro e ranger de dentes.”
