1 And when he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, Master, (or Teacher), behold, what manner stones, and what manner buildings.
1 E, quando ele saía do templo, disse-lhe um dos seus discípulos: Mestre, vê que tipo de pedras e que construções estão aqui!
2 And Jesus answered, and said to him, Seest thou all these great buildings? there shall not be left a stone on a stone, which shall not be destroyed.
2 E, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhe: Vês estas grandes construções? Não se deixará aqui uma pedra sobre outra que não seja derrubada.
3 And when he sat in the mount of Olives against the temple (or And when he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the Temple), Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him by themselves,
3 E, assentando-se ele no monte das Oliveiras, defronte do templo, Pedro, e Tiago, e João e André lhe perguntaram em particular:
4 Say thou to us, when these things shall be done, and what token [or what sign] shall be, when all these things shall begin to be ended.
4 Dize-nos, quando serão essas coisas? E qual será o sinal quando todas estas coisas estiverem para se cumprir?
5 And Jesus answered, and began to say to them, Look ye [or See ye], that no man deceive you;
5 E Jesus, respondendo-lhes, começou a dizer: Acautelai-vos para que nenhum homem vos engane;
6 for many shall come in my name, saying, That I am (he); and they shall deceive many.
6 porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo; e enganarão a muitos.
7 And when ye hear battles and opinions of battles, dread ye not (or fear not); for it behooveth these things to be done, but not yet anon (or at once)is the end, [or for it behooveth that these things be done, but the end is not yet].
7 E, quando ouvirdes de guerras e de rumores de guerras, não vos perturbeis; porque todas essas coisas necessitam acontecer, mas ainda não será o fim.
8 For folk shall rise on folk, and realm on realm, and earth-movings and hunger shall be by places; these things shall be(but the) beginnings of (the) sorrows.
8 Pois nação se levantará contra nação, e reino contra reino; e haverá terremotos em vários lugares, e haverá fomes e tribulações; essas coisas são o princípio das dores.
9 But see ye yourselves, for they shall take you in (to) councils, and ye shall be beaten in synagogues; and ye shall stand before kings and doomsmen (or judges) for me, in witnessing to them (or to give a testimony to them).
9 Mas fiquem atentos por vós mesmos; porque eles vos entregarão aos conselhos, e nas sinagogas sereis açoitados; e sereis levados perante governadores e reis por minha causa, para um testemunho contra eles.
10 And it behooveth, that the gospel be first preached among all folk. (But it behooveth, that the Gospel or the Good News, first be preached to all the nations and all the peoples.)
10 E o evangelho deve ser primeiramente pregado entre todas as nações.
11 And when they take you, and lead you forth, do not ye before-think what ye shall speak, but speak ye that thing that shall be given to you in that hour; for ye be not the speakers [or soothly ye be not speaking], but the Holy Ghost (or the Holy Spirit).
11 Mas quando eles vos conduzirem e vos entregarem, não penseis de antemão sobre o que haveis de falar, nem premediteis; mas, o que vos for dado naquela hora, isso falai; porque não sois vós que falais, mas sim o Espírito Santo.
12 For the brother shall betake the brother into death [or Forsooth a brother shall betray a brother into death], and the father the son, and sons shall rise together against fathers and mothers, and punish them by death.
12 Ora, o irmão entregará à morte o irmão, e o pai ao filho; e levantar-se-ão os filhos contra os seus pais, e eles farão com que sejam entregues à morte.
13 And ye shall be in hate to all men for my name; but he that lasteth into the end, shall be safe. [+And ye shall be in hatred to all men for my name; but he that shall sustain into the end, shall be safe.](And ye shall be hated by everyone because of my name; but he who lasteth unto the end, shall be saved.)
13 E sereis odiados de todos os homens por causa do meu nome; mas aquele que perseverar até ao fim será salvo.
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of discomfort, standing where it oweth not (or standing where it ought not to be); he that readeth (this), understand (it); then they that be in Judea, flee to the mountains.
14 Mas, quando vós virdes a abominação da desolação, predita pelo profeta Daniel, de pé onde não deveria (quem lê, compreenda), então os que estiverem na Judeia fujam para os montes;
15 And he that is above in the roof (or And he who is above on the roof), come not down into the house, neither enter he, to take anything (out) of his house;
15 e não deixai o que estiver sobre o telhado descer para a casa, nem entrar nela, para levar alguma coisa de sua casa;
16 and he that shall be in the field, turn not again behind to take his cloth. (and he who is in the field, do not return to get his cloak.)
16 e não deixai voltar o que estiver no campo para buscar o seu manto.
17 But woe to them that be with child, and nourishing [or nursing] in those days.
17 Mas ai das grávidas e das que amamentarem naqueles dias!
18 Therefore pray ye, that those things, [or that your fleeing], (or that your flying), be not done in winter.
18 E orai para que a vossa fuga não seja no inverno.
19 But those days of tribulation shall be such, (in) which manner were not from the beginning of creature(s), (or in which manner were never so since the beginning of Creation), which God hath made, till now, neither shall be.
19 Porque naqueles dias haverá aflição, tal como nunca houve desde o princípio da criação que Deus criou, até agora, nem haverá jamais.
20 And but the Lord had abridged those days, all flesh, [or \+sls (all)\+sls* mankind], had not be safe, (or And if the Lord had not shortened those days, no one could be saved); but for the chosen which he chose, the Lord hath made short the days.
20 E, se o Senhor não abreviasse aqueles dias, nenhuma carne se salvaria; mas, por causa dos eleitos, que ele escolheu, abreviou aqueles dias.
21 And then if any man say to you, Lo! here is Christ, (or Behold! here is the Messiah), lo! there, believe ye not.
21 E então, se algum homem vos disser: Eis que o Cristo está aqui; ou: Ele está ali; não o acrediteis.
22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall give tokens [or signs] and wonders, to deceive, if it may be done, yea, them that be chosen, [or yea, the chosen]. (For false messiahs and false prophets shall arise, and shall make miracles and wonders, to deceive, yes, God’s chosen, if it can be done.)
22 Porque se levantarão falsos Cristos, e falsos profetas, e farão sinais e maravilhas, para seduzir, se possível fora, até os eleitos.
23 Therefore take ye keep, (or And so be on guard, or take heed); lo! I have before-said to you all things.
23 Ficai atentos: Eis que eu tenho predito todas as coisas.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be made dark, and the moon shall not give her light,
24 Mas naqueles dias, após a tribulação, o sol se escurecerá, e a lua não dará a sua luz,
25 and the stars of heaven shall fall down, and the virtues that be in (the) heavens shall be moved. (and the stars of the heavens shall fall down, and the powers that be in the heavens shall be shaken.)
25 e as estrelas cairão do céu, e os poderes que estão no céu serão abalados.
26 And then they shall see man’s Son coming in the clouds of (the) heaven(s), with great virtue (or with great power) and glory.
26 E, então verão vir o Filho do homem nas nuvens, com grande poder e glória.
27 And then he shall send his angels, and shall gather his chosen from the four winds, from the highest thing of earth till to the highest thing of heaven [or from the lowest thing of earth unto the highest thing of heaven].
27 E, então ele enviará os seus anjos, e ajuntará os seus eleitos, desde os quatro ventos, da extremidade da terra até a extremidade do céu.
28 But of the fig tree learn ye the parable. When now his branch is tender, and (its) leaves be sprung out, ye know that summer is nigh.
28 Mas aprendei da parábola da figueira: Quando o seu ramo já está tenro, e brotam folhas, sabeis que está próximo o verão.
29 So when ye see these things be done, know ye, that it is nigh in the doors, (or that it is near, right at the door).
29 Assim também vós, quando virdes acontecer estas coisas, sabei que está perto, às portas.
30 Truly I say to you (or I tell you the truth), that this generation shall not pass away, till all these things be done.
30 Na verdade eu vos digo que não passará esta geração, até que todas essas coisas sejam feitas.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass (away), but my words shall not pass (away).
31 O céu e a terra passarão, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.
32 But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither (the) angels in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
32 Mas daquele dia e hora nenhum homem sabe, nem os anjos que estão no céu, nem o Filho, senão o Pai.
33 See ye, wake ye, and pray ye, (or Look, be on watch, or stay awake, and pray); for ye know not, when the time is.
33 Tomem cuidado, vigiai e orai; porque não sabeis quando chegará o tempo.
34 For as a man that is gone far in pilgrimage, left his house, and gave to his servants power of every work, and commanded to the porter, that he [should] wake. (For it is like a man who left his house, and went far away on a journey, and who gave his servants authority to do their work, and commanded to the porter, that he should be on watch or stay awake.)
34 Porque o Filho do homem é como um homem viajando para longe, que deixou a sua casa, e deu autoridade aos seus servos, e a cada homem seu trabalho, e ordenou ao porteiro que vigiasse.
35 Therefore wake ye, (or And so be on watch, or stay awake), for ye know not, when the lord of the house cometh, in the eventide, or at midnight, or at cock’s crowing, or in the morning;
35 Vigiai, portanto; porque não sabeis quando virá o senhor da casa, à tarde, ou à meia-noite, ao cantar do galo, ou pela manhã;
36 lest when he come suddenly, he find you sleeping.
36 para que, vindo ele subitamente, não vos encontre dormindo.
37 Forsooth that that I say to you, I say to all, Wake ye, (or Be on watch, or Stay awake).
37 E o que eu digo a vós, a todos digo: Vigiai.
