1 And publicans and sinful men were nighing to him, to hear him. (And tax-collectors and sinners were coming near to him, to listen to him.)
1 Então, aproximaram-se dele todos os publicanos e pecadores para ouvi-lo.
2 And the Pharisees and (the) scribes grudged, saying, For this [man] receiveth sinful men, and eateth with them. (And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, For this \+em man\+em* welcometh sinners, and eateth with them.)
2 E os fariseus e os escribas murmuravam, dizendo: Este homem recebe pecadores, e come com eles.
3 And he spake to them this parable, and said,
3 E ele lhes falou esta parábola, dizendo:
4 What man of you that hath an hundred sheep, and if he hath lost one of them, whether he leaveth not ninety and nine in (the) desert, and goeth to it that perished, till he find it? (or and goeth after that which is lost, until he find it?)
4 Qual de vós é o homem que, tendo cem ovelhas, e perdendo uma delas, não deixa no deserto as noventa e nove, e vai atrás da perdida até encontrá-la?
5 And when he hath found it, he joyeth, and layeth [or putteth] it on his shoulders;
5 E, tendo-a encontrado, regozijando-se, a põe sobre seus ombros.
6 and he cometh home, and calleth together his friends and neighbours, and saith to them, Be ye glad with me, for I have found my sheep, that had perished [or that I had lost].
6 E ele chegando em casa, chama os seus amigos e vizinhos, dizendo-lhes: Alegrai-vos comigo, porque eu encontrei a minha ovelha que estava perdida.
7 And I say to you, so joy shall be in heaven on one sinful man doing penance, more than on ninety and nine just, that have no need to penance [or that have no need of penance]. (And I tell you, there shall be more joy in heaven over one sinner repenting, than over ninety-nine righteous men, who have no need of repentance.)
7 Eu vos digo, que assim haverá mais alegria no céu por um pecador que se arrepende, do que por noventa e nove pessoas justas que não necessitam de arrependimento.
8 Or what woman having ten bezants [or ten drachmas], and if she hath lost one bezant [or one drachma], whether she tendeth not [or she lighteth not] a lantern, and turneth upside-down the house, and seeketh diligently, till she find it?
8 Ou qual mulher que, tendo dez peças de prata, e perdendo uma peça, não acende a candeia, e varre a casa, buscando com diligência até encontrá-la?
9 And when she hath found (it), she calleth together (her) friends and neighbours, and saith, Be ye glad with me, for I have found the bezant [or the drachma] that I had lost.
9 E, tendo-a encontrado, ela chama as amigas e as vizinhas, dizendo: Alegrai-vos comigo, porque encontrei a peça que eu havia perdido.
10 So I say to you, joy shall be before the angels of God on one sinful man doing penance. (So I tell you, there is joy among the angels of God over one sinner repenting.)
10 Assim eu vos digo que há alegria na presença dos anjos de Deus por um só pecador que se arrepende.
11 And he said, A man had two sons;
11 E ele disse: Certo homem tinha dois filhos;
12 and the younger of them said to the father [or and the younger said to his father], Father, give me the portion of (the) chattel [or of \+sls (the)\+sls* substance] that falleth to me. And he parted to them the chattel [or the substance], (or And he divided the goods between them).
12 e o mais jovem deles disse ao seu pai: Pai, dá-me a parte dos bens a que tenho direito. E ele dividiu-lhes os seus haveres.
13 And not after many days, when all things were gathered together, the younger son went forth in pilgrimage into a far country; and there he wasted his goods [or his substance] in living lecherously.
13 E poucos dias depois, o filho mais jovem, ajuntando tudo, partiu para uma terra distante, e ali desperdiçou os seus bens com uma vida desordeira.
14 And after that he had ended all things, a strong hunger was made in that country, and he began to have need.
14 E, havendo ele gastado tudo, houve naquela terra uma grande fome, e ele começou a passar necessidade.
15 And he went, and drew him(self) to one of the citizens of that country. And he sent him into his town, to feed swine, (or to feed his pigs), [or \+sls (so)\+sls* that he should feed hogs].
15 E ele foi e juntou-se a um dos cidadãos daquela terra, e ele o enviou aos seus campos para alimentar os porcos.
16 And he coveted to fill his womb of the pods that the hogs ate, and no man gave (anything) to him. (And he desired to fill his belly with the pods which the pigs ate, but no one gave him anything to eat.)
16 E ele desejava encher o seu estômago com as cascas que os porcos comiam; e nenhum homem lhe dava nada.
17 And he turned again to himself, and said, How many hired men in my father’s house have plenty of loaves; and I perish here through hunger.
17 E ele caindo em si, disse: Quantos servidores de meu pai têm pão suficiente e de sobra, e eu aqui pereço de fome!
18 I shall rise up, and go to my father, and I shall say to him, Father, I have sinned (up) into heaven [or I have sinned against heaven], and before thee;
18 Levantar-me-ei, e irei para o meu pai, e lhe direi: Pai, eu pequei contra o céu e perante ti;
19 and now I am not worthy to be called thy son, make me as one of thine hired men.
19 e não sou mais digno de ser chamado teu filho; faze-me como um dos teus servidores.
20 And he rose up, and came to his father. And when he was yet afar, his father saw him, and was stirred by mercy. And he ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
20 E ele, levantando-se, foi para seu pai. Mas, ele estando ainda longe do caminho, seu pai o viu, e teve compaixão, e, correndo, lançou-se-lhe ao pescoço, e o beijou.
21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned (up) into heaven [or I have sinned against heaven], and before thee; and now I am not worthy to be called thy son.
21 E o filho lhe disse: Pai, eu pequei contra o céu e à tua vista, e não sou mais digno de ser chamado teu filho.
22 And the father said to his servants, Swiftly bring ye forth the first stole, and clothe ye him, and give ye a ring in his hand (or and put a ring on his finger), and shoes on his feet;
22 Mas o pai disse aos seus servos: Trazei a melhor veste, e vesti-o, e ponde-lhe um anel em sua mão, e calçados em seus pés;
23 and bring ye a fat calf [or and bring ye a calf made fat], and slay ye, and eat we, and make we feast.
23 e trazei aqui um novilho cevado, e matai-o; e comamos e alegremo-nos;
24 For this my son was dead, and hath lived again; he perished (or he was lost), and is found. And all men began to eat [gladly].
24 porque este meu filho estava morto, e vive novamente; tinha-se perdido, e foi achado. E eles começaram a alegrar-se.
25 But his elder son was in the field; and when he came, and nighed to the house (or and approached the house), he heard a symphony and a crowd.
25 Ora, o seu filho mais velho estava no campo; e vindo, ao aproximar-se da casa, ele ouviu a música e as danças.
26 And he called one of the servants, and asked, what these things were.
26 E ele chamou um dos servos, e perguntou o que significavam aquelas coisas.
27 And he said to him, Thy brother is come (home), and thy father slew a fat calf [or and thy father hath slain a fatted calf], for he received him safe (again).
27 E ele lhe disse: O teu irmão chegou; e teu pai matou o novilho cevado, porque ele o recebeu são e salvo.
28 And he was wroth, and would not come in. Therefore his father went out, and began to pray him (or And so his father went out to him, and began to beseech him).
28 E ele se irritou e não queria entrar; portanto, saindo o pai, lhe rogava.
29 And he answered to his father, and said, Lo! so many years I serve thee, and I never brake thy commandment(s); and thou never gave to me a kid, that I with my friends should have eaten.
29 E, ele respondendo, disse ao seu pai: Eis que eu te sirvo há tantos anos, e em nenhum momento eu transgredi um mandamento teu; contudo, tu nunca me deste um cabrito, para que eu pudesse me alegrar com os meus amigos;
30 But after that this thy son, that hath devoured his substance with whores, came, thou hast slain to him a fat calf [or a fatted calf], (or thou hast killed a fatted calf for him).
30 mas, vindo este teu filho, que desperdiçou os teus bens com as prostitutas, mataste-lhe o novilho cevado.
31 And he said to him, Son, thou art (for)evermore with me, (or Son, thou art always with me), and all my things be thine.
31 E, ele lhe disse: Filho, tu sempre estás comigo, e tudo o que eu tenho é teu.
32 But it behooved to make feast, and to have joy; for this thy brother was dead, and lived again [or and liveth again]; he perished, and is found, (or for thy brother was dead, but now he liveth again; he was lost, but now he is found).
32 Mas era necessário fazer festa e regozijarmo-nos; porque este teu irmão estava morto, e vive novamente; tinha-se perdido, e foi achado.
