1 My spirit shall be made feeble; my days shall be made short, and only the sepulchre is left to me. (My breath shall be made weak; my days shall be made short, and only the grave, \+em or a tomb\+em*, is left to me.)
1 O meu espírito está quebrantado, os meus dias se extinguem, a sepultura me está preparada!
2 I have not sinned, and mine eye dwelleth in bitternesses. (I have not sinned, and yet I see their bitterness toward me.)
2 Deveras estou cercado de zombadores, e os meus olhos contemplam a sua provocação!
3 Lord, deliver thou me, and set me beside thee; and the hand of each man fight against me. (Lord, save thou me, and put me beside thee; then let someone try to fight against me!)
3 Dá-me, peço-te, um penhor, e sê o meu fiador para contigo; quem mais há que me dê a mão?
4 Thou hast made the heart of them far from doctrine, that is, \+sls (far)\+sls* from knowing of \+sls (the)\+sls* truth; therefore they shall not be enhanced (or and so thou shalt not let them triumph).
4 Porque aos seus corações encobriste o entendimento, pelo que não os exaltarás.
5 He promiseth prey to his fellows, and the eyes of his sons shall fail (or yet the eyes of his sons shall fail).
5 Quem entrega os seus amigos como presa, os olhos de seus filhos desfalecerão.
6 He hath set [me] as into a proverb of the common people, and his ensample before them.
6 Mas a mim me pôs por motejo dos povos; tornei-me como aquele em cujo rosto se cospe.
7 Mine eye dimmed at [the] indignation (or My eyes dimmed with grief); and my members be driven as into nought.
7 De mágoa se escureceram os meus olhos, e todos os meus membros são como a sombra.
8 Just men shall wonder on this thing; and an innocent shall be raised up against an hypocrite.
8 Os retos pasmam disso, e o inocente se levanta contra o ímpio.
9 And a just man shall hold his way, and he shall add strength to clean hands. (The righteous shall hold to their way, and he who hath clean hands shall be made even stronger.)
9 Contudo o justo prossegue no seu caminho e o que tem mãos puras vai crescendo em força.
10 Therefore all ye be turned again, and come ye; and I shall not find in you any wise man. (And so come now, let all of you try again; for thus far, I have not found a wise man among you.)
10 Mas tornai vós todos, e vinde, e sábio nenhum acharei entre vós.
11 My days be passed; my thoughts be scattered, tormenting mine heart.
11 Os meus dias passaram, malograram-se os meus propósitos, as aspirações do meu coração.
12 Those have turned the night into day; and again after darknesses hope (for) light. (They have turned the night into day; and then again after darkness, hope for \+em some\+em* light.)
12 Trocam a noite em dia; dizem que a luz está perto das trevas.
13 If I sustain, either suffer patiently, hell is mine house; and I have arrayed my bed in darknesses. (If I endure, Sheol, \+em or the grave\+em*, shall be my house; and I shall array my bed in darkness.)
13 Se eu olhar o Seol como a minha casa, se nas trevas estender a minha cama,
14 I said to rot (or And I shall say to rot), Thou art my father; and to worms, Ye be my mother, and my sister.
14 se eu clamar à cova: Tu és meu pai; e aos vermes: Vós sois minha mãe e minha irmã;
15 Therefore where is now mine abiding? and who beholdeth my patience?
15 onde está então a minha esperança? Sim, a minha esperança, quem a poderá ver?
16 All my things shall go down into [the] deepest hell; guessest thou, whether rest shall be to me, namely there. (All my thoughts shall go down into Sheol; thinkest thou, that there shall be any rest for me there?)
16 Acaso descerá comigo até os ferrolhos do Seol? Descansaremos juntos no pó?
