1 Therefore we that have this administration, [or office], after this that we have gotten mercy, fail we not,
1 Por isso não desanimamos deste ministério que nos foi conferido por misericórdia.
2 but do we away the privy, (or the private, or the secret), things of shame, not walking in subtle guile, neither doing adultery by the word of God [or neither adulterating the word of God], but in (the) showing of the truth commending us-selves to each conscience of men before God.
2 Afastamos de nós todo procedimento fingido e vergonhoso. Não andamos com astúcia, nem falsificamos a palavra de Deus. Pela manifestação da verdade nós nos recomendamos à consciência de todos os homens, diante de Deus.
3 For if also our gospel is covered, or is hid, in these that perish it is covered; (And if our Gospel or Good News is covered, \+em or it is hidden\+em*, it is only hidden for those who perish, or who go to destruction;)
3 Se o nosso Evangelho ainda estiver encoberto, está encoberto para aqueles que se perdem,
4 in which [the] god of this world, that is, the devil, hath blinded the souls of unfaithful men, (so) that the (en)lightening [or the lighting] of the gospel of the glory of Christ, which is the image of God, shine not. (in which the god of this world, \+em that is, the Devil\+em*, hath blinded the souls of the unfaithful or the unbelievers, so that the light of the Gospel, or the Good News, of the glory of the Messiah, who is the image of God, cannot shine for them.)
4 para os incrédulos, cujas inteligências o deus deste mundo obcecou a tal ponto que não percebem a luz do Evangelho, onde resplandece a glória de Cristo, que é a imagem de Deus.
5 But we preach not us-selves, but our Lord Jesus Christ [or but Jesus Christ our Lord]; and us (as) your servants by Jesus.
5 De fato, não nos pregamos, a nós mesmos, mas a Jesus Cristo, o Senhor. Quanto a nós, consideramo-nos servos vossos por amor de Jesus.
6 For God, that said [the] light to shine of darknesses, he hath given light in our hearts, to the lightening [or the illumining] of the science of the clearness of God, in the face of Jesus Christ. (For God, who commanded the light to shine in the darkness, he hath given, or he hath put, the light in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Jesus Christ.)
6 Porque Deus que disse: Das trevas brilhe a luz, é também aquele que fez brilhar a sua luz em nossos corações, para que irradiássemos o conhecimento do esplendor de Deus, que se reflete na face de Cristo.
7 And we have this treasure in brittle vessels, that the worthiness [or the highness] be of God’s virtue (or so that the worthiness be of God’s power), and not of us.
7 Porém, temos este tesouro em vasos de barro, para que transpareça claramente que este poder extraordinário provém de Deus e não de nós.
8 In all things we suffer tribulation, but we be not anguished, or annoyed, (\+em or harmed\+em*); we be made poor, but we lack nothing [or we be not destitute];
8 Em tudo somos oprimidos, mas não sucumbimos. Vivemos em completa penúria, mas não desesperamos.
9 we suffer persecution, but we be not forsaken; we be made low, but we be not confounded; we be cast down, but we perish not, (or we be thrown down, but we do not perish).
9 Somos perseguidos, mas não ficamos desamparados. Somos abatidos, mas não somos destruídos.
10 And (for)evermore we bear about the slaying [or the mortifying] of Jesus in our body (or And we always carry about the death of Jesus in our body), (so) that also the life of Jesus be showed in our bodies.
10 Trazemos sempre em nosso corpo os traços da morte de Jesus para que também a vida de Jesus se manifeste em nosso corpo.
11 For evermore we that live, be taken into death, for Jesus, that the life of Jesus be showed in our deadly flesh. (For we who live, always be taken unto death, for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus be shown in our mortal flesh.)
11 Estando embora vivos, somos a toda hora entregues à morte por causa de Jesus, para que também a vida de Jesus apareça em nossa carne mortal.
12 Therefore death worketh in us, but life in you.
12 Assim em nós opera a morte, e em vós a vida.
13 And we have the same spirit of faith, as it is written, I have believed, wherefore I have spoken; and we believe, wherefore also we speak;
13 Animados deste espírito de fé, conforme está escrito: Eu cri, por isto falei {Sl 115,1}, também nós cremos, e por isso falamos.
14 witting that he that raised Jesus (or knowing that he who raised up Jesus), shall raise up also us with Jesus, and shall ordain [us] with you.
14 Pois sabemos que aquele que ressuscitou o Senhor Jesus, nos ressuscitará também a nós com Jesus e nos fará comparecer diante dele convosco.
15 And all things [be done] for you, (so) that a plenteous grace by many thankings be plenteous into the glory of God. [Soothly all things be done for you, \+sls (so)\+sls* that grace being plenteous by many in doing of thanks be plenteous into \+sls (the)\+sls* glory of God.]
15 E tudo isso se faz por vossa causa, para que a graça se torne copiosa entre muitos e redunde o sentimento de gratidão, para glória de Deus.
16 For which thing we fail not, for though our outer man be corrupted; nevertheless the inner man is renewed from day to day.
16 É por isso que não desfalecemos. Ainda que exteriormente se desconjunte nosso homem exterior, nosso interior renova-se de dia para dia.
17 But that light, [or easy], thing of our tribulation that lasteth now, but as it were by a moment, worketh in us over-measure an everlasting burden [or an everlasting weight] into the highness of glory;
17 A nossa presente tribulação, momentânea e ligeira, nos proporciona um peso eterno de glória incomensurável.
18 while that we behold not those things that be seen, but those [things] that be not seen. For those things that be seen, be but during for a short time [or temporal]; but those things that be not seen, be everlasting [or eternal].
18 Porque não miramos as coisas que se vêem, mas sim as que não se vêem . Pois as coisas que se vêem são temporais e as que não se vêem são eternas.
