1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of (the) Thessalonians, in God the Father, and in the Lord Jesus Christ, grace and peace (be) to you.
1 Paulo, Silvano e Timóteo, à igreja dos tessalonicenses, em Deus Pai e no Senhor Jesus Cristo: Graça e paz vos sejam dadas.
2 We do thankings to God (for)evermore for all (of) you, and we make mind of you in our prayers without ceasing; (We always give thanks to God for all of you, and we remember you in our prayers without ceasing;)
2 Sempre damos graças a Deus por vós todos, fazendo menção de vós em nossas orações,
3 having mind of the work of your faith [+or mindful of the work of your faith], and travail, and charity, and abiding of the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before God and our Father. (remembering the work of your faith, and your labour, and your love, and the endurance of your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before God and our Father.)
3 lembrando-nos sem cessar da vossa obra de fé, do vosso trabalho de amor e da vossa firmeza de esperança em nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, diante de nosso Deus e Pai,
4 Ye beloved brethren of God, we witting your choosing, (You beloved brothers in God, we knowing of your choosing, or of your election,)
4 conhecendo, irmãos, amados de Deus, a vossa eleição;
5 for our gospel was not at you in word only, but also in virtue, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much plenty; as ye know, which we were among you for you; (and so we brought you the Gospel or the Good News, not in words alone, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, or but also in the power of the Holy Spirit, and with great certitude; and ye know, what manner of men we were when we were among you for your own sakes;)
5 porque o nosso evangelho não foi a vós somente em palavras, mas também em poder, e no Espírito Santo e em plena convicção, como bem sabeis quais fomos entre vós por amor de vós.
6 and ye be made followers of us, and of the Lord, receiving the word in much tribulation, with joy of the Holy Ghost, (or with joy in the Holy Spirit or from the Holy Spirit);
6 E vós vos tornastes imitadores nossos e do Senhor, tendo recebido a palavra em muita tribulação, com gozo do Espírito Santo.
7 so that ye be made (an) ensample to all men that believe, in Macedonia and in Achaia.
7 De sorte que vos tornastes modelo para todos os crentes na Macedônia e na Acaia.
8 For of you the word of the Lord is published [or is much told \+sls (out)\+sls*], not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith that is to God, in each place is gone forth, [or but in each place your faith that is to God, is gone forth]; so that it is not need(ful) to us to speak anything (or so that it is not needed or necessary for us to say anything more).
8 Porque, partindo de vós fez-se ouvir a palavra do Senhor, não somente na Macedônia e na Acaia, mas também em todos os lugares a vossa fé para com Deus se divulgou, de tal maneira que não temos necessidade de falar coisa alguma;
9 For they show of you, what manner entry we had to you, and how ye be converted to God from maumets [or from simulacra], to serve to the living God and very; (For they tell about you, and how we visited you, and thereafter how ye be turned from idols, to serve the living and true God;)
9 porque eles mesmos anunciam de nós qual a entrada que tivemos entre vós, e como vos convertestes dos ídolos a Deus, para servirdes ao Deus vivo e verdadeiro,
10 and to abide his Son from heavens (or and to wait for his Son to come from heaven), whom he raised from death, the Lord Jesus, that delivered us from (the) wrath to coming. [and for to abide his son from heavens, whom he raised from \+sls (the)\+sls* dead, Jesus, that delivered us from \+sls (the)\+sls* wrath to come.]
10 e esperardes dos céus a seu Filho, a quem ele ressuscitou dentre os mortos, a saber, Jesus, que nos livra da ira vindoura.
