¹ Forsooth to the sons of Aaron these portions shall be; the sons of Aaron were Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar; (And these shall be the divisions of the sons of Aaron; Aaron’s sons\+em were\+em* Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar;)

¹ As turmas dos filhos de Arão foram estas: os filhos de Arão: Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

² but Nadab and Abihu were dead without free children before their father, and Eleazar and Ithamar were set in priesthood. (and Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and had no children, and so Eleazar and Ithamar became priests, \+em that is, the High Priests\+em*.)

² Mas Nadabe e Abiú morreram antes de seu pai, e não tiveram filhos; por isso Eleazar e Itamar exerciam o sacerdócio.

³ And David parted them, that is, (with the help of) Zadok, of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech, of the sons of Ithamar, by their whiles, and their service; (And David, with the help of Zadok, of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech, of the sons of Ithamar, divided them for their duties, and their service;)

⁴ and the sons of Eleazar were found many more in the men princes, than the sons of Ithamar. And David parted to them, that is, to the sons of Eleazar, sixteen princes by their families (and houses); and to the sons of Ithamar eight princes by their families and houses. (and there were found many more leaders of the sons of Eleazar, than of the sons of Ithamar. And David ordained to them, that is, to the sons of Eleazar, sixteen leaders by their families and houses; and to the sons of Ithamar eight \+em leaders\+em* by their families and houses.)

⁴ E acharam-se mais chefes dentre os filhos de Eleazar do que dentre os filhos de Itamar; e assim foram distribuídos: dos filhos de Eleazar, chefes das casas paternas, dezesseis; e dos filhos de Itamar, segundo as suas casas paternas, oito.

⁵ And he parted ever either families among themselves by lots; for there were princes of the saintuary, and princes of the house of God, as well of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar. (And he divided both families among themselves by lots; for there were officers of the sanctuary, and officers of the House of God, from the sons of Eleazar, and from the sons of Ithamar.)

⁵ Assim foram distribuídos por sortes, tanto uns como os outros; porque havia príncipes do santuário e príncipes de Deus, tanto dentre os filhos de Eleazar, como dentre os filhos de Itamar.

⁶ And Shemaiah, the son of Nethaneel, a scribe of the lineage of Levi, described them before the king and [the] princes, and before Zadok, the priest, and Ahimelech, the son of Abiathar, and to the princes of the families of the priests and of the deacons; he described one house of Eleazar, that was sovereign to [the] others, and the tother house of Ithamar, that had [the] other priests and deacons under him. (And Shemaiah, the son of Nethaneel, a writer, \+em or a secretary\+em*, of the Levite tribe, listed them before the king, and the officers, and Zadok, the priest, and Ahimelech, the son of Abiathar, and the leaders of the families of the priests and the Levites; \+em he listed\+em* one household, \+em or family\+em*, of Eleazar, that was the leader of the others, and another household, \+em or family\+em*, of Ithamar, that had the other \+em priests and Levites\+em* under him.)

⁶ E os registrou Semaías, filho de Netanel, o escrivão dentre os levitas, diante do rei, dos príncipes, de Zadoque, o sacerdote, de Aimeleque, filho de Abiatar, e dos chefes das casas paternas entre os sacerdotes e entre os levitas, tomando-se uma casa paterna para Eleazar, e outra para Itamar.

⁷ Forsooth the first lot went out to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

⁸ the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

⁸ a terceira a Harim, a quarta a Seorim,

⁹ the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

⁹ a quinta a Malquias, a sexta a Miamim,

¹⁰ the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abiah (or the eighth to Abijah),

¹⁰ a sétima a Hacoz, a oitava a Abias,

¹¹ the ninth to Jeshuah, the tenth to Shecaniah,

¹¹ a nona a Jesuá, a décima a Secanias,

¹² the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

¹² a undécima a Eliasibe, a duodécima a Jaquim,

¹³ the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

¹⁹ These were the whiles, or times, of them by their services, that they enter into the house of God, and by their custom under the hand of Aaron, their father, as the Lord God of Israel commanded.

²⁰ Forsooth Shubael was prince of the sons of Levi that were residue/that were left, of the sons of Amram; and the son of Shubael was Jehdeiah; (And of the Levites who were left; of the sons of Amram, Shubael was the leader; and the son of Shubael \+em was\+em* Jehdeiah;)

²⁰ Do restante dos filhos de Levi: dos filhos de Anrão, Subael; dos filhos de Subael, Jedeías.

²¹ also Isshiah was prince of the sons of Rehabiah. (and Isshiah \+em was\+em* the leader of the sons of Rehabiah.)

²¹ Quanto a Reabias: dos filhos de Reabias, Issijá o chefe;

²² And Shelomoth was prince of Izharites; and the son of Shelomoth was Jahath; (And Shelomoth \+em (was the leader)\+em* of the Izharites; and Shelomoth’s son \+em (was)\+em* Jahath;)

²³ and (the sons of Hebron); his first son was Jeriah, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

²⁴ The son of Uzziel was Michah; the son of Michah was Shamir;

²⁵ the brother of Michah was Isshiah; and the son of Isshiah was Zechariah.

²⁵ o irmão de Mica, Issijá; dos filhos de Issijá, Zacarias.

²⁶ The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; the son of Jaaziah was Beno; (The sons of Merari \+em were\+em* Mahli, and Mushi, and Jaaziah his son;)

²⁷ and the son of Merari was Jaaziah, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri. (and the sons of Merari, of Jaaziah, \+em were\+em* Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.)

²⁷ os filhos de Merári: de Jaazias: Beno, Soão, Zacur e Ibri;

²⁸ And the son of Mahli was Eleazar, which had not free sons; (And the son of Mahli \+em was\+em* Eleazar, who had no sons;)

²⁸ de Mali, Eleazar; e este não teve filhos.

²⁹ and the son of Kish was Jerahmeel;

²⁹ Quanto a Quis: dos filhos de Quis, Jerameel;

³⁰ the sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of Levi, by the houses of their families.

³⁰ e os filhos de Musi: Mali, Eder e Jerimote. Esses foram os filhos dos levitas, segundo as suas casas paternas.

³¹ Also and they sent lots (over) against their brethren, the sons of Aaron, before David the king, and before Zadok, and Ahimelech, and before the princes of the families of [the] priests, and of deacons; [the] lot parted evenly all things, both the greater and the less. (And they cast lots side by side with their kinsmen, the sons of Aaron, before King David, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the leaders of the families of the priests, and of the Levites; and the lot evenly divided all, both the greater and the lesser alike.)

³¹ Estes também, como seus irmãos, os filhos de Arão, lançaram sortes diante do rei Davi, de Zadoque, de Aimeleque, e dos chefes das casas paternas entre os sacerdotes e entre os levitas; assim fizeram, tanto para o chefe de casa paterna, como para o seu irmão menor.
