GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NVT
1 The Levitical priests—in fact, the whole tribe of Levi—will receive no land or property of their own like the rest of the Israelites. They will eat what has been sacrificed to the Lord. These sacrifices will be what they receive.
1 “Lembrem-se de que os sacerdotes levitas e todos os outros membros da tribo de Levi não receberão porção alguma de terra como herança entre as outras tribos de Israel. Em vez disso, os sacerdotes e levitas comerão das ofertas especiais apresentadas ao S enhor , pois essa é parte que lhes cabe.
2 So the Levites will have no land of their own like the other Israelites. The Lord will be their inheritance, as he promised them.
2 Não terão herança entre os israelitas. O S enhor é a sua herança, conforme lhes prometeu.
3 This is what the people owe the priests whenever they sacrifice an ox, a sheep, or a goat: the shoulder, jaws, and stomach.
3 “Estas são as partes que os sacerdotes receberão como sua porção dos bois e das ovelhas que o povo entregar como ofertas: a espádua, as queixadas e o estômago.
4 Also, give them the first produce harvested: grain, new wine, olive oil, and the first wool you shear from your sheep.
4 Deem também aos sacerdotes a primeira porção dos cereais, do vinho novo, do azeite e da lã na época da tosquia,
5 Out of all your tribes, the Lord your God has chosen the Levites and their descendants to do the work of serving in the name of the Lord forever.
5 pois o S enhor , seu Deus, escolheu a tribo de Levi dentre todas as suas tribos para servir em nome do S enhor para sempre.
6 A Levite from any of your cities in Israel may come from where he has been living to the place the Lord will choose. He may come as often as he wants
6 “Se um levita decidir sair de sua cidade em Israel, seja ela qual for, e mudar-se para o lugar que o S enhor escolher,
7 and may serve in the name of the Lord his God like all the other Levites who do their work in the Lord’s presence.
7 ele servirá ali em nome do S enhor , seu Deus, da mesma forma que todos os seus companheiros levitas que servem o S enhor naquele lugar.
8 If he does, he’ll get the same amount of food as they do, in addition to what he gets from selling his family’s goods.
8 Comerá sua porção dos sacrifícios e ofertas, mesmo que também receba sustento de sua família.”
9 When you come to the land that the Lord your God is giving you, never learn the disgusting practices of those nations.
9 “Quando vocês entrarem na terra que o S enhor , seu Deus, lhes dá, tenham muito cuidado para não imitarem os costumes detestáveis das nações que vivem ali.
10 You must never sacrifice your sons or daughters by burning them alive, practice black magic, be a fortuneteller, witch, or sorcerer,
10 Jamais deverá haver entre vocês alguém que queime seu filho ou sua filha como sacrifício. Não permitam que alguém do povo pratique adivinhação, use encantamentos, interprete agouros, envolva-se com bruxaria,
11 cast spells, ask ghosts or spirits for help, or consult the dead.
11 lance feitiços, atue como médium ou praticante do ocultismo, ou consulte os espíritos dos mortos.
12 Whoever does these things is disgusting to the Lord. The Lord your God is forcing these nations out of your way because of their disgusting practices.
12 Quem pratica tais coisas é detestável ao S enhor . É justamente porque as outras nações praticam essas coisas detestáveis que o S enhor , seu Deus, as expulsará de diante de vocês.
13 You must have integrity ⌞in dealing⌟ with the Lord your God.
13 Sejam inculpáveis perante o S enhor , seu Deus.
14 These nations you are forcing out listen to fortunetellers and to those who practice black magic. But the Lord your God won’t let you do anything like that.
14 As nações cujas terras vocês estão prestes a conquistar consultam feiticeiros e adivinhos, mas o S enhor , seu Deus, os proíbe de fazerem essas coisas.”
15 The Lord your God will send you a prophet, an Israelite like me. You must listen to him.
15 “O S enhor , seu Deus, levantará um profeta como eu do meio de seus irmãos israelitas. Deem ouvidos a ele,
16 This is what you asked the Lord your God to give you on the day of the assembly at Mount Horeb. You said, “We never want to hear the voice of the Lord our God or see this raging fire again. If we do, we’ll die!”
16 pois foi isso que vocês pediram ao S enhor , seu Deus, quando estavam reunidos ao pé do monte Sinai. Disseram: ‘Não iremos mais ouvir a voz do S enhor , nosso Deus, nem ver este fogo ardente, pois morreríamos’.
17 The Lord told me, “What they’ve said is good.
17 “Então o S enhor me disse: ‘Eles estão certos.
18 So I will send them a prophet, an Israelite like you. I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him.
18 Levantarei um profeta como você do meio de seus irmãos israelitas e porei minhas palavras em sua boca, e ele dirá ao povo tudo que eu lhe ordenar.
19 Whoever refuses to listen to the words that prophet speaks in my name will answer to me.
19 Eu mesmo pedirei contas de qualquer um que não ouvir as mensagens que o profeta proclamar em meu nome.
20 But any prophet who dares to say something in my name that I didn’t command him to say or who speaks in the name of other gods must die.”
20 Mas o profeta que tiver a presunção de falar em meu nome algo que não lhe ordenei, ou que falar em nome de outros deuses, será morto’.
21 You may be wondering, “How can we recognize that the Lord didn’t speak this message?”
21 “Talvez vocês se perguntem: ‘Como saberemos se uma profecia vem do S enhor ou não?’.
22 If a prophet speaks in the Lord’s name and what he says doesn’t happen or come true, then it didn’t come from the Lord. That prophet has spoken on his own authority. Never be afraid of him.
22 Se o profeta falar em nome do S enhor , mas suas previsões não acontecerem nem se cumprirem, vocês saberão que a mensagem dele não vem do S enhor . Esse profeta presumiu arrogantemente que falava em meu nome, e vocês não precisam temê-lo.”
