GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NVI
1 You are the children of the Lord your God. So when someone dies, don’t ⌞mourn⌟ by cutting yourselves or shaving bald spots on your head.
1 Vocês são os filhos do Senhor, do seu Deus. Não façam cortes no corpo nem rapem a frente da cabeça por causa dos mortos,
2 You are people who are holy to the Lord your God. Out of all the people who live on earth, the Lord has chosen you to be his own special possession.
2 pois vocês são povo consagrado ao Senhor, ao seu Deus. Dentre todos os povos da face da terra, o Senhor os escolheu para serem o seu tesouro pessoal.
3 Never eat anything that is disgusting to the Lord.
3 Não comam nada que seja proibido.
4 Here are the ⌞kinds of⌟ animals you may eat: oxen, sheep, goats,
4 São estes os animais que vocês podem comer: o boi, a ovelha, o bode,
5 deer, gazelles, fallow deer, wild goats, mountain goats, antelope, and mountain sheep.
5 o veado, a gazela, a corça, o bode montês, o antílope, o bode selvagem e a ovelha montês.
6 You may eat all animals that have completely divided hoofs and that also chew their cud.
6 Vocês poderão comer qualquer animal que tenha o casco fendido e dividido em duas unhas e que rumine.
7 But some animals chew their cud, while others have completely divided hoofs. You may not eat these ⌞kinds of⌟ animals. They include camels, rabbits, and rock badgers. (Although they chew their cud, they don’t have divided hoofs. They are unclean for you.)
7 Contudo, dos que ruminam ou têm o casco fendido, vocês não poderão comer o camelo, o coelho e o rato silvestre. Embora ruminem, não têm casco fendido; são impuros para vocês.
8 Also, you may not eat pigs. (Although their hoofs are divided, they don’t chew their cud.) Never eat their meat or touch their dead bodies.
8 O porco também é impuro; embora tenha casco fendido, não rumina. Vocês não poderão comer a carne deles nem tocar em seus cadáveres.
9 Here’s what you may eat of every creature that lives in the water: You may eat any creature that has fins and scales.
9 De todas as criaturas que vivem nas águas vocês poderão comer as que possuem barbatanas e escamas.
10 But never eat anything that doesn’t have fins and scales. It is unclean for you.
10 Mas não poderão comer nenhuma criatura que não tiver barbatanas nem escamas; é impura para vocês.
11 You may eat any clean bird.
11 Vocês poderão comer qualquer ave pura.
12 But here are the birds that you should never eat: eagles, bearded vultures, black vultures,
12 Mas estas vocês não poderão comer: a águia, o urubu, a águia-marinha,
13 buzzards, all types of kites,
13 o milhafre, qualquer espécie de falcão,
14 all types of crows,
14 qualquer espécie de corvo,
15 ostriches, nighthawks, seagulls, all types of falcons,
15 a coruja-de-chifre, a coruja-de-orelha-pequena, a coruja-orelhuda, qualquer espécie de gavião,
16 little owls, great owls, barn owls,
16 o mocho, o corujão, a coruja-branca,
17 pelicans, ospreys, cormorants,
17 a coruja-do-deserto, o abutre, a coruja-pescadora,
18 storks, all types of herons, hoopoes, and bats.
18 a cegonha, qualquer tipo de garça, a poupa e o morcego.
19 Every swarming, winged insect is also unclean for you. They must never be eaten.
19 Todas as pequenas criaturas que enxameiam e têm asas são impuras para vocês; não as comam.
20 However, you may eat any ⌞other kind of⌟ flying creature that is clean.
20 Mas qualquer criatura que têm asas, sendo pura, vocês poderão comer.
21 Never eat any creature that dies naturally. You may give it to the foreigners who live in your cities, and they may eat it. You may also sell it to foreigners who are visiting. But you are people who are holy to the Lord your God.
21 Não comam nada que encontrarem morto. Vocês poderão dá-lo a um estrangeiro residente de qualquer cidade de vocês, e ele poderá comê-lo, ou vocês poderão vendê-lo a outros estrangeiros. Mas vocês são povo consagrado ao Senhor, ao seu Deus. Não cozinhem o cabrito no leite da própria mãe.
22 Every year be sure to save a tenth of the crops harvested from whatever you plant in your fields.
22 Separem o dízimo de tudo o que a terra produzir anualmente.
23 Eat the tenth of your grain, new wine, and olive oil, and eat the firstborn of your cattle, sheep, and goats in the presence of the Lord your God in the place he will choose to put his name. Then you will learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live.
23 Comam o dízimo do cereal, do vinho novo e do azeite, e a primeira cria de todos os seus rebanhos na presença do Senhor, o seu Deus, no local que ele escolher como habitação do seu Nome, para que aprendam a temer sempre o Senhor, o seu Deus.
24 But the place the Lord your God will choose to put his name may be too far away. He may bless you with so much that you can’t carry a tenth of your income that far.
24 Mas, se o local for longe demais e vocês tiverem sido abençoados pelo Senhor, pelo seu Deus, e não puderem carregar o dízimo, pois o local escolhido pelo Senhor para ali pôr o seu Nome é longe demais,
25 If so, exchange the tenth part of your income for silver. Take the silver with you, and go to the place the Lord your God will choose.
25 troquem o dízimo por prata, e levem a prata ao local que o Senhor, o seu Deus, tiver escolhido.
26 Use the silver to buy whatever you want: cattle, sheep, goats, wine, liquor—whatever you choose. Then you and your family will eat and enjoy yourselves there in the presence of the Lord your God.
26 Com prata comprem o que quiserem: bois, ovelhas, vinho ou outra bebida fermentada, ou qualquer outra coisa que desejarem. Então juntamente com suas famílias comam e alegrem-se ali, na presença do Senhor, do seu Deus.
27 Never forget to take care of the Levites who live in your cities. They have no land of their own as you have.
27 E nunca se esqueçam dos levitas que vivem em suas cidades, pois eles não possuem propriedade nem herança próprias.
28 At the end of every third year bring a tenth of that year’s crop, and store it in your cities.
28 Ao final de cada três anos, tragam todos os dízimos da colheita do terceiro ano e armazene-os em sua própria cidade,
29 Foreigners, orphans, and widows who live in your cities may come to eat all they want. The Levites may also come because they have no land of their own as you have. Then the Lord your God will bless you in whatever work you do.
29 para que os levitas, que não possuem propriedade nem herança, e os estrangeiros, os órfãos e as viúvas que vivem na sua cidade venham comer e saciar-se, e para que o Senhor, o seu Deus, o abençoe em todo o trabalho das suas mãos.
